Save password check box is unavailable

Hello everyone,
I'm new to this forum, I have the same problem, as with all laptops satellite that are on my network.

On my network, we have a file server. On each computer, we have mappings to this server. When you connect to these mappings for the first time, you can check a box "remember my password. This box is available on all computers in the network, but not on 4 laptops satellite.

Therefore, whenever the synchronization of the boot files, you are prompted to type the password of at least 20 times... it drives me crazy.

I know it's a question of security but can someone help me to tell me how to activate...

It's a pretty stupid situation. In my office, we have about 10 different Toshiba laptop and all of them are connected to the corporate network. Believe me nobody has been confronted with this problem so far.

Have you talked with network administrator about this? Your notebooks have image recovery or your own installation of the OS?

Hello, Web sites can specify whether browsers should be able to save the name of user and password (through the AutoComplete = "off" attribute in the login form in the html source code) and many banks choose to do this, probably to increase security.

  • Thunderbird is not save my password even if I continue to check the Save password box. Fails to retrieve mail when I check the box.

Recently, I've migrated my profile of Thunderbird to a new computer. Everything works great, except that Thunderbird doesn't remember my password for the account. I am the only user on the machine, and I check only one account, so I don't want to set up a master password... I want just the program to remember my password for the e-mail account. I get the question 'Do you want to save your password?', every time I run the program... but if I check the box to do this, mail is not retrieved. (No error message, just nothing happens.) If I get the password without the box, the mail is retrieved. Even with the sending - I wonder for the time of password the first by session I have send a message. If I check the box 'Save password' send fails. If I do not check the box, sending passes.

This has been a consistent behavior for about a month now. I'm not just randomly in the password incorrectly. It happens that way every time.

That is what it is? Y at - it a fix for this? I want to just Thunderbird to remember my password.

    Try this:

Make folders and hidden files visible

    In thunderbird

    • Help > troubleshooting information
    • Click on the view file"" button.

a new window opens showing profile_name folder.

    • Close Thunderbird now - this is important
    • Scroll down - find and delete this file: key3db
    • Close this window - upper-right X

    Restart Thunderbird.

At the password prompt, enter the password and select the "Manager password use to remember the password" check box and click OK.

Note: If you use a product like CCleaner, then it's probably compensation info session and password. In this case, you will need to make an exception for files of thunderbird in CCleaner to stop cleaning Thunderbird.

  • Save password on the wrong web page dialog box

I was unnecessarily save password dialogn on the page account rather than a web page of signIN.aspx. In the page, I have tabs. One of the tab, contains a user control to change password. Another tab contains a links to the history of orders.

Once I click on the history of the order No. #, automatically change password dialog appears from nowhere I went through the source code and found out, the Web page contains OldPassword and NewPassword fields in divChangePassword.

Please let us know, how to fix this bug. It does not appear on all other browsers.

    Kind regards

If there are fields of password on a web page, you can't possibly avoid this dialog box.

All these fields are visible, or some are hidden.

You could try to hide certain fields if they are now to see if that helps.
You can do this with userChrome.css code or the Stylish extension.
The file userChrome.css (UI) customization and userContent.css (Web sites) are located in the folder of chrome in the Firefox profile folder.

Otherwise, you have to take more drastic measures and remove these fields.

How to save passwords on my computer without asking permission.

    Hi Donna,.

If you talk over the internet with Internet Explorer, open IE and go to Tools / Internet Options / content / AutoComplete / settings and check the boxes to remember usernames and passwords on forms and forms (and, if you wish, the option to memorize without being asked).  It will work for the websites most even if some may require even allows you to enter the password anyway as they are coded to override the automatic setting and require a contribution each time for reasons of security exhibited by site developers or owners-, but it should help a lot and probably even more.

If you're talking about passwords to use the programs on the computer because you are a standard user and not an administrator, it is a different matter.  Here, although it is possible to do (most often - there will be exceptions), I strongly suggest you don't have to mean it turn off a sizeable part of the security of your computer and that can cause you a lot of trouble later regardless of how you defended yourself or what products you use.  If that's what you hear, then please come back but if you consider how you want to go despite the risks and my warnings, then return and I'll explain how to do it despite the fact that I think it's a very bad idea to do so.  I need the version of Windows you are using (for example, 32-bit Vista Business SP2 - and Yes, detailing a lot).

If I missed the question, please explain more clearly exactly what types of passwords you talk.  Passwords to do what and for what programs (names and versions) or functions (what the password is open or what permission don't you get when he entered)?  Connection password or other types?  Also, what version of Windows you are medium (for example, Vista Business SP2 - 32-bit and Yes, detailing a lot)?

    I hope this helps.

    Thanks and good luck!

  • Save passwords for Remotre Ino

Sorry, this is probably a Windows XP issue, rather than a query in Dreamweaver, but how can I get the Login and the password to register in the section remote info of the Site definition on my computer? It doesn't matter if the save check box is marked or not data must always be entered again.
    Thanks in advance

    Another post:
The most common cause is that Internet Explorer 7 (IE 7) is installed on the
    same computer as Dreamweaver 8.

The DW 8.0.2 updater establishes that, for most people
