Save the Scan OCR HP

As of today, when I do an analysis of the OCR, I can't program to save him.  The error message is that the scanned document cannot be saved to the specified location.  All the other scan functions work perfectly and the OCR scan worked fine until today.  Help?

Reload the software, and then try again.

    Hello

The application from HP for your printer is not compatible with El Capitan, so the output files incorrectly recorded.

In the Hewlett-Packard folder move HP Scan to the trash and empty it.

Before you install and use the HP Easy Scan application below which should save the files correctly:

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I see that you run into some problems when you try to scan to your HP Officejet Pro 8500 A910, it is because there is no full feature software and drivers for the OS of Mavericks. This means not you are not able to scan, it is just average, you'll have to do another way, and I'd be happy to help you with that.

  • HP C6280 All in One Printer: unable to save the scanned document of multi page as on the single Document using the Preview on IMAC computer

I recently reinstalled my drivers on my IMAC computer to correct some strange characters appearing when printing from Microsoft word via Parallels.  The relocation at this time and the time has fixed this problem.  My most recent issue is not able to save a scanned document of multi page into a document using an excerpt?  In the latest that I had to do was high brightness, scanned documents to be saved and presto, all were saved under one.  Now you have to go save each of them at a time.  If you have a 5-page document, you need to go through the registration process 5 separate time create several documents, which is a big waste of time.  I have also my C6280 DPL 100 size should be a problem, I think.  To correct even any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi @RGrantB3,

Welcome to the HP Forums! I'd love to help you analyze documents several pages in a single file. When you scan, you select PDF as the format scanning? When you select the PDF file, you should see an option to select, save all pages in a single file, or a variant of this option.

If you do not see this, please post a screenshot of you scanning settings for I can visually identify the issue.

  • F4180 does not save the scans

My F4180 used with OSX 10.9.2 ceased to give me the scans I can save.  It seems that it is scanning normally, then when I go to save it saves a document in all the black boxes and says to check that it is not set to read-only.

    Ideas?

    Hello sensho.

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support! I understand since the upgrade for the Mavericks 10.9 OS X, you are now no longer able to save documents or images when your HP Deskjet F4180 scanning.

Please make sure that you have installed the driver correctly uses the Apple updates: OS X v10.9 Mavericks: installing and using the printer on a Mac, keep in mind that because there is no comprehensive software features and drivers for your F4180, you might need to analyze in different ways you did before you installed the Mavericks.

I hope this helps, if you have any further questions please do not hesitate to ask.

  • Save the scan document to Microsoft Word

I can't change the settings of Microsoft Scan to allow saving a document as a Word. doc. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hello rcohan6168,

As your question relates to Microsoft Word, you will get a much better response if you posted the question Word Forum: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/word?tab=Threads

As far as I know a scanned document is automatically saved as a .bmp or jpeg. This is because the ' scan ' is in fact a photograph of this document after scanned by your scanner. I could be wrong, but I don't think that you can actually save the document as a .doc file - well not unless you actually cut and copy the .bmp/jpeg file into a word document, and then save.

However, the above is only my thoughts. Try posting the question in the forum of Word and see if someone else can give you more information.

This forum post is my own opinion and does not necessarily reflect the opinion or the opinion of Microsoft, its employees or other MVPS.

  • How can I change the scan destination folder?

I recently purchased HP Officejet 4500 G510a-f. I would like to change the folder in which the analysis should go.

Save to save the file options saves the scan to the new location, but only once, the next time I do the exercise to get the location has changed. I would like to have a permanent solution?

    Hello

Since the change of place even save it to the file save options you described.

For the changes recorded for later use, click the button Save shortcut under the scan shortcuts list and save your settings as a shortcut, then use the modified shortcut.

  • Want 5530: problems with the scan from the printer

    Hello

I only just bought a 5530 want all-in-one printer and it gives me problems from the outset.

It installed fine, but when I try to scan from the printer to the computer I get the following window will appear on the computer:

Which I think should happen. In my view, that he should start the correct software without having me to do anything.

But even if I click on the "HP Scan", the software does not start, but it does not save the scan in the default location. I thought it was supposed to launch the software and allow me to choose what happened then.

I can boot the computer software and scan as I want, but I think that to happen automatically if I scan form the printer to the computer (the printer).

    Someone at - it suggestions?

    Hi Rainbow7000,

I had tried most of the steps that you propose before displaying the original question, but thinaks for suggesting it is useful to check.

I managed to fix it myself.

Basically the pop-up window was left during a previous installation of HP hardware. Even though I used the uninstall program provided, it was not completely uninstalled (annoying). So I uninstalled the new printer and then went through the registry and deleted any reference to previous material, the new printer, any other hardware HP, etc... I do not get into the registry to do this kind of thing but if the 'correct' uninstall program do not do so I have no choice.

I then installed the printer again and it works fine. Now when I press the button it scans directly to the computer of choice and Windows Explorer appears to show the new file.

If someone else is a similar problem and plan to do what I did then I have to remind you of the dangers of editting the registry...

Thanks for having a look at this problem, your suggestions are appreciated.

  • HP 4620: HP 4620 scans very well, but could not save the analysis in a file

The scanner scans very well, but could not save the analysis in a file. Whenever I try to save, it crashes.

    Hey @motikama,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I see that you encounter some problems with the scanning of your Officejet 4620 e-all-in-one for your Windows 7 PC. I can help you with that.

To start, make sure that the printer is plugged directly into a wall outlet, not a surge protector. Once done:

    1. Uninstall all software associated with the printer to your computer.
    2. Restart your PC.
    3. Download and install the latest drivers by clicking on this link.

Please let me know the results after following the above. If you can scan, click on accept solution. If you appreciate my help, please click on the thumbs up icon. The two icons are below this post.
