  Toshiba file manager manages any format SD card so you have no problem using the file manager of Toshiba

  Unfortunately, there is nothing that can be done to this other than rooting, downgrade the bootloader manually and roll back to JellyBean. For obvious reasons, I can't help you root your device for this.

  You are not 'for always screwed"- you can always buy and install a sound card which the manufacturer supports their product under Windows 7 - operating system, you choose to run.  The trick is to have a piece taken in charge (by the manufacturer) hardware or software - * under the operating system you choose to run *.
