sbRIO frequency Max DIO

Devices former sbRIO receive a nominal specification for the 10 MHz DIO pins. It is documented in their textbooks. Does anyone know the most recent maximum frequency on mezzanine devices sbRIO 9605/9606 RIO interface? Their manuals are not yet validated.

Hi SolarSystemsLLC,

Please bear with us, as we are still working through final changes in the manual before post us it on the web.  As mentioned in a previous post, the RMC DIO Andrew is directly connected to the FPGA through end of series of 33 ohms resistance and DIO are sent with a characteristic trace of 55 ohms impedance.  There is no buffer online.  With respect to a specification of the frequency maximum, DIO capabilities are limited by the components on a Board CTMR, the integrity of the signal between the FPGA and the CGR and any requirement of precise calendar request.  In general, a typical SPI based protocol would be able to close the calendar with a rate of 10 MHz interface.  If the application has no time limits between the lines, you will probably be able to switch or lines at a higher sample rate.  As the design of the PMR is completely open, the signal integrity and timing of any design must be validated by the designer.

I took note to update this message when the manual goes live, you will be aware that his was published.

Kind regards

Steve Bassett

I use a box NI USB-6251 and frequency max I can carry out to an0 an1 is 8 kHz using the following parameters. Is there a way to reach a frequency higher on the analog output ports?

    Capture of the oscilloscope:

I've reconfigured the config to try and hit 10 kHz and captured the following response.

    config:

Oscilloscope Capture: (before port analog flat doubled)

The signal is emitted for 7ms then faints.

Any ideas how to set up the analog interface for a sine wave of 100 kHz to the stable address? I could only create a stable 8 kHz wave.

To use higher frequencies, you'll need to use LabVIEW or custom code. I used the example of "ContGen - IntClk.c" located in "C:\Users\Public\Documents\National Instruments\NI - DAQ\Examples\DAQmx C\Analog Out\Generate Voltage\Cont Gen Volt Wfm - Int Clk ANSI" and changed the two lines of code to achieve higher frequencies.

    2 changed lines:

     1. data[i]=1*sin((double)i*2.0*PI/25.0);

     2. DAQmxErrChk (DAQmxCfgSampClkTiming(taskHandle,"",2800000.0,DAQmx_Val_Rising,DAQmx_Val_ContSamps,1000));

  • frequency max sawtoothing, 0-100% and CPU usage it follows on all cores

I've never seen frequency max sawtoothing like that or could find examples on the net...  I ran variations of msconfig from 8 cores starting at the current point of not designating the number of processors on startup (which solved mouse jerky movements). allowing the BCDEdit detectHAL did nothing. I killed the process and services but can't get rid of the saw tooth or see what is the cause...  For once I feel stupid that I see.

Performance monitor reports CPU 0-7 and all of them are subject to sawtooth synchronizing and CPU usage 0 to 95%. CPU - Z shows the two processors are almost identical in performance. (bus speed varies very little)

    Any ideas would be appreciated.

  • Frequency max RAM MacBook mid-2010 (7.1)

    Hello

I wanted to update my MAC Book (mid-2010 - 7.1) with chip Ram 2 x 4 GB of Kingston. I got the last race of El Capitan, and even with just 2x2gb it actually works very well.

I bought two Kingston KVR16LS11/4 - with 1600 MHz. The dealer told me that it will work with any MACBook.

So I installed the two chips and nothing happens after that I press the Start button. ?!?!

Do something wrong? The chips are not fair? I was wondering if maybe the frequency of chips is high priority - but I always thought, that the system it will operate at a lower frequency if necessary.

Any chance of getting the chips running?

  • Capture of frequency with the NI 9401 in cDAQ-9172

    Hi all

I searched through all the examples and find the same results than my own code in Labview. So, I go back to my hardware to solve my problem. I use a digital tachometer that displays pulse with 2 wires (hot and ground). I connected these to the NI 9401 for 16 PINS for PFI 1 and PIN 3 on the ground. When I open the module through MAX, he reads the perfectly when hi and lo as well as count properly if it is placed in the location 5 or 6.

However, I try to use the frequency max task and the task fails to capture anything in the table. I get a time-out error, even if my tach is read correctly. I have attached my settings of the task. Thanks for any help

Your samples to read is set to 100.  If all the samples of 100 are not available before the timeout is reached, you will get a time-out error.  What is the frequency of the input signal?  Maybe just try to read 1 sample on request first.

  • ThinkCentre M52 8115-KUF CPU upgrade to Pentium D 820

I just upgraded my CPU from the P4 630 HT 3 GHz for the P4 D 820 and had no trouble from it upward after replacement of CPU, but it records only 1.50 GHz in the Task Manager performance page, although it is still in the custody of P4 630.

It should appear as a 820-2.8 Ghz p4. I can't find anything in the BIOS on the change of setting of the CPU, so, how do I get it to appear as the dual core P4 D 820? And why the Task Manager it shows as 1.50 Ghz frequency Max? Again, I don't see any way to change settings in the bios? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I'm sorry, but after restarting the computer, the 3rd time it automatically corrected for the CPU setting and now it is read correctly to P4 D 2.80 Ghz... so everything is fine now even though I was expecting more than an increase in performance it goes from a score of 3.6 to 4.7 performance so I can't complain. Chart is only 2.3 which brings my average performance at this level also. They use your score lowest to the average value. Thanks anyway.

  • Digital FPGA of entry of the negative voltage

What is the maximum negative tension that the digital input on the FPGA can take without damaging it? I tried to look in the data sheet for the sRio 9636 and I can't.

    Thank you

    Hi, Berthe.

The sbRIO-9636 was DIO only on the OID (J502) and connectors MIO (J503). It's a bit different from the other variants sbRIO-96xx that others may have a RMC connector that has additional DIO.

Connectors IDC 50 pin DIO and MIO are 3.3V pins, but they are 5V tolerant inputs we have protection on the IDC DIO connector. VIL values and HIV are specified in the data sheet:

    http://www.NI.com/PDF/manuals/373378d.PDF

These are the recommended conditions of use. If you need to know the maximum negative voltage to determine if your landing short of the runway is acceptable, this number to an absolute minimum is - 500 mV. I would recommend you choose the appropriate to your driver series termination resistors to minimize landing short of the runway, however. The absolute minimum even applies to the 3.3V RMC DIO as well.

  • Dynamic report having to update each round in PWM

    Hi all

I am a newbie of LabVIEW working on the generation of PWM signal. I have to generate a PWM signal such as its ratio of obligation and indeed it should change the pulse width in each cycle based on the values stored in an excel sheet. I downloaded an example of or and try to change it, but not with much success. I use NI PCI-6132 and BNC-2110 in my configuration.

I read some examples on the generation PWM based on the dynamic ratio by manual control using 1.2 but counters have not found something that updates the report obligation to each cycle.

For an example, I enclose you a csv file containing 4 values and ratio to the vi. My goal is to generate 4 pulses with the ratio of stored in the csv file, then stop execution of the program. For starters I keep the frequency 1 Hz. I know that the vi is not correct and I'm working on it, but I thought getting some suggestions at the same time.

Thank you very much for your help.

6132 counters cannot do what you ask.  Using this material, you must generate the appropriate digital output table based on desired time and use a digital output buffer task:

STC3 based on recent hardware components (e.g. PCIe-6320) is able to output meter in the buffer:

There are some drawbacks to the use of the method of digital output which can or may not be a problem for your application:

1 it requires a much larger buffer (1 byte per example compared to 8 bytes per period).  If you need high temporal resolution and are in need of a long sequence of pulse output you may not be able to write the entire buffer at a time.

    2. more data needs to be listened to on the bus (also 1 byte for example compared to 8 bytes per period).  Could be a problem if you are running at the same time as other streaming applications.

    3. less time resolution (10 MHz output frequency max on the 6132 compared to 100 MHz output meter timebase on a series of X).

    Best regards

  • is daq bit resolution applied to the area defined in the daq assistant or well to the limits of physical blood of the daq hardware.

Hello, this is my first post here,

    I've been wondering about this:

When you configure a new daq with the daq Assistant, is the resolution applied to the voltage / number of entries you define, or is it a fixed value per volt by channel.

    For example:

    I have a 6015 usb data acquisition, it has 16 inputs analog, 16-bit resolution 250 kech. / s 09:50 volts.

    so is this as (2 ^ 16) / (16 * (-10-10)) = my resolution through volt?

or that this has nothing to do with the amount of channels,

If I want to measure more than 0 to 5 volts, my 16-bit apply from 0 to 5, or even more scale of data acquisition (which is 09:50 volts)

    Thank you

    Marco

You will get full-resolution 16 bits on each channel regardless of the number of channels is configured.  Renault most are multi-plexed if your specification of sampling RATE in usually a global significance that you can only scan channels with a sampling frequency = MAX RATE / number of CHANNELS.  Also, most NI Renault have a Programmable Gain amplifier on the front-end server, so if you specify a range of voltage smaller in your task configuration the amplifier will automatically increase the gain to use most of the possible BIT ADC.  You see care device and for more details...

  • Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG RAM upgrade

    Hi all

I intend to improve my RAM to 3 GB to 8 GB on Acer Aspire TimelineX 5830TG.

I intend to use 4 GB DDR3 1600 Mhz Laptop Ram CL11 PC3-12800 1600 MHz on the two slots.
I wanted to know if this laptop supports this RAM which is a frequency of 1600 Mhz.

    Has anyone tried this upgrade?

    Hi all

After my research, I found that acer supports maximum 8 GB 1333 Mhz RAM, which is 4 GB / slot for my laptop (5830TG).

    Please note the points below.

1 Max RAM memory supported by "Intel Core i5 2410 M' 16 GB is only acer only recommeds and supports 8 GB RAM

    2. the HM65 Express Chipset supports 16 GB of RAM but acer only recommends and supports 8 GB RAM

    3. the frequency max RAM supported by acer 1333 Mhz, 1600 MHz only is not supported since the BIOS does not allow to use as a guy mentioned in a forum. If you want to use 1600 MHz RAM then you need Flash the BIOS that is not the right thing, because there are problems of heat and laptop could stop working and it is in any case not tested and certified by acer.

This applies to anyone whose laptop computer contains "Intel HM65 Express Chipset' motherboard and processor 'Intel Core - i5 2410 M'.

I write so that it will be a reference for me and people like me who are looking to upgrade their RAM.

I plan to buy "Crucial 8 GB Kit (4GBx2) DDR3 FSB 1333 (PC3-10600) CL9 SODIMM 204-pin Notebook Memory Modules 1.5V. I will update my experience with this RAM after that some 4 to 6 months so if any of you are planning to upgrade can probably treat this as a starting reference.

    Thank you people.
