SC-2345 current output logic

Hello

Plug-in currently a case of the type SC-2345.

Of this case I have to connect three output logic (P0.0 - P0.3) to three light (230Vac, 7W).

I have to find a 0 - 5V-power online interface.

Pour this do I need to know the current that can deliver/absorber each logic output box.

I got no part specific to this kind of features in the documentation.

Is anyone know where I could you find this information?

Kind regards

J

The answer is simple: the connection between the card and the terminal block of the case is just wired so the characteristics are those of the card.

  • R series: compared to current output output impedance adaptation

    Hello

I wonder about the output impedance specified for SMU-782xR and some other adapter module ike l 6581.

The specified output impedance is 50 ohms. To get the best signal integrity, it is imperative to adapt the impedance using a cable (transmission line) with a 0 hm 50 characteristic impedance and impedance of 50 ohm load.

But I don't understand how this is possible, because with a high level of 3.3 v, the output current proposed spindle must be 66 my. The current per output pin max 7821R is 4 my.

This FPGA offer 128 pins, so that the maximum total output current should be of 8.5 A, so 28 w. It's not realistic!

Could someone explain why outputs are 50 ohms?

And how do I adjust the line and the termination of employment?

    Thank you and best regards,

    Benedict,

After some thought, the concept of the output impedance is really not applicable outputs logical digital because they spend most of their time in the saturated States and time spent in the transitory States is not usually specified with the exception of the time limits.

What is your purchasing process is I would ignore the specification of output impedance. Watch the voltage and current limits. If those who do not meet your needs, consider external buffers. You can specify the buffer to meet the requirements of your testbed (including protection against defects if necessary) and to meet the specifications of the devices OR.

  • Current output digital USB-6009

Hi, I'm trying to increase the voltage output digital device USB-6009. I read a few topics on the use of a relay, but I couldn't get it.

I was thinking of using power 5V on the map because there current 200mA on it, but when I use it with open-collector output, it cannot change the relay. When I measure the current between

    5V and ground: 200 ma,

    5V output, I read a value around 30-40 my.

Why can I not use this 200mA with output? It is the Relay that I use.

If this is not possible, can I use an external power supply 5V (with more current) and a digital output to pass the baton without damage the 6009?

Outputs digital of the USB-6009 confined to 8.5 my. Your relay coli requires much more than that. Even if the power source can provide enough current for the relay, digital output can not put.

The solution is to use a buffer of extermal. The ULN2003 can switch currents up to 500 my and voltage up to 50 V while being controlled by digital output.

  • maximum current output module ni9401

Hello, how mA is the current maximum that I can use in the module e/s DIGITAL NI9401?

    Thank you

    Hi, mariomoskis,

Each digital line on the 9401 is capable of 100 au and sinking 2mA supply, you can find more information in the specifications for the 9401: NI 9401 Manual of Instructions and specifications:

    http://digital.NI.com/manuals.nsf/WebSearch/ABFB7FE8BF99B55B862573D0006D5F8B

The 9401 protection against overcurrent, the following excerpt from this manual explains how this works:

"On the NI 9401 overcurrent protection allows only a specified amount of current for the switching of channels DIO or sourcing the output load. If the NI 9401 enters a State of over-current, exceeding the specified maximum switching frequency or the output load, the power supply of the module begins to decline

power until it goes off completely or the overcurrent condition is removed. When the module is in this State, it can accept the new direction of the line

configuration and output data State but can't pass the valid input data for the software. See the features section for more information on the

output and maximum load for each channel switching frequency. »

    I hope that helps!

  • Current limit for analog output on USB-6211-OEM

The current output drive listed in the specifications of this card is of +/-2 my. What happens when you try to go beyond that? Is there damage to the card or is it simply rail out around 2mA. For example, if I connect a 1000 ohm load. I'm okay, if I have the output up to 2V (= 2mA), but what happens when I exit 3V with the same 1000 ohm load?

    Thank you.

Protection of the overdrive is 2.4 mA, which means that you can ride this current without damaging the card, but a current of approximately 2 mA, tension is more guaranteed to be compliant to the specifications.

  • Mac for Logic 8 and Sonar 8

    Hello

I'm new here and hoping someone can help out me

I am currently running Logic 8 on my old powerbook G4 and Logic 8 on my PC. I'm hoping to buy a new mac (not a laptop) on which I can work with both programs; Is this possible? And, if so, does anyone have recommendations? It is primarily a workstation for music, and suggestions regarding decent burst boxes/pre amp is also welcome.

    Thank you!

On a new Mac, Logic 8 won't work. You can't even put the dos operating system quite far to a version where he would go.

New Macs simply won't these older operating systems boot.

  • Strange analog output of USB-6211

I just got USB-6211 to replace USB-6001 to set the clock to external sampling on analog output for LED lighting control. The part of external clock example works fine, but the analog output voltage is strange. To do self-monitoring, I connected control pin LED to AO0 & AI0 of surveillance in the NI MAX test panel and LED control on the ground at AO - GND & GND HAVE since I have both USB-6001 and USB-6211, I conducted tests on two of them with the same setting of wire. When I generate sine wave - 5V to 5V to AO0 (from NI MAX test panel), USB-6001 can monitor the same signal AI0, but watch USB-6211 - 3, 4V to 3.4V voltage truncated. I did the test separately (wiring one device at a time), so there is no interference between the two devices. USB-6211 past self-calibration and self-monitoring. Also, I did reset devices. I don't know why they would behave differently with the same configuration, and I hope that someone could help with this question. Thank you.

    Hi skuo1008,

The USB-6001 can support + / 5 output current my from terminals to analog output, while the USB-6211 box can provide only +/-2 my current output.  It is likely that the load impedance is too low, causing the 6211 to hit its current compliance and thus cut the tension.  If you try to exchange your load with a resistance of at least 5 v/.002A = 2500 Ohms, you should be able to see the full +/-5V sine wave.  I suspect that your DUT has a words 3.4V/.002A = 1700 Ohms impedance.  You could use a device with higher output current or use a more current source buffer circuit.  If you do not need a bipolar output, you might also consider using digital lines to control the LEDs.

    Kind regards

  • What is a digital output (DO) good for?

Actually, I wanted to use the outputs digital to move from a 24 VDC circuit (to turn on/off other devices etc.).

But the current output outputs digital is so low that I have even impossible to pass an opto-coupler (opto isolator).

That's why I wonder you use outputs digital for if you cannot use them to change anything?

Of course, I can create a circuit MOSFETS or transistors to switch 24VDC power with the TTL 5V digital output signal. But I guess that most of you do not :-)

And of course, I know that I can buy OR relay modules/cards. In fact, I have many digital outputs available and do not want to buy new modules/cards.

Now, I can test and actually I get 10mA @ 5V on a digital output of NI 9401 (DIO), using the digital output to pass an opto-Coupler.

It seems that the information contained in the data sheet are supposed to mean something else...

  • Output of PID VI looks to On / Off signal

    Hi all

I'm new to requests for PID and currently starting a project involving the PID of a heater of air command. I came across some problems and I'd appreciate really all of the suggestions here

The installation consists of a cDAQ-9174 with RTD module (for example NOR-9217) and an output module current (NOR-9265). The process variable is the incoming temperature which is extracted from the RTD, and current output module sends the output of PID of 4-20mA to the incubator, 4mA is equivalent to heating off, and everything above that turns heater at different levels as a result.

I found a sample program on the site OR I have changed according to my installation. PID loop rate is 10 Hz, and for this I used the calendar software (please see the attached VI). The output for the PID VI range is set to 4-20mA.

During execution of the program, we can see RTD works well (process variable updates correctly), but the output of the PID VI signal varies between these two extremes (4 MA or 20 MA), which apparently turned into a On / Off attached template instead of PID (see the "On-off MV.jpg" screenshot). As a result, the oscillating system in undesirable ways.

I looked at the example LabVIEW, ran to some of them, programs and they seem to work well. I also looked to their diagrams and outside the middle range output different (default is from-100 to 100), I can't see any significant difference for the other parameters to the PID VI.

Was there everything I hard set, or was there something I missed? Any help will be greatly appreciated... Thank you!!

    Best regards

    Victor

If you want to be using PID loops you need to learn about the setting of a PID.  There is a lot of information around on the internet on how to do and there are different methods depending on who you talk to.

How is it tuned and the small selected output range will make things very quickly.  What you can do is to change the output of pid to 0-100 range.  Then you can use the percentage of PID to EGU vi use the output of the pid to control your 4-20mA signal.  So the 0-100 =.004 A02.  Then, you must always set the PID to your system.

  • Strange problem with analog output PCI 6251 and BNC-2110

I'm controlling current source of third parties using the connectors of analog output on my card PCI 6251 and BNC-2110.

The current source needs an input signal of 0.1V. I tested it using a battery, the potentiometer and the voltmeter, and by manually adjusting the voltage of power current works - current output with control voltage scales according to the specifications and is relatively stable.

The data acquisition card works too - when I connect a voltmeter to the AO0 AO1, the measured voltage corresponds to the target with great precision value.

But when I connect the current source of third AO0 AO1 data acquisition card, the measured output voltage drops and fluctuates. This applies to both channels of the AO.

I wonder what is the problem here. I suspect it could be a matter of the grounding - the current analog control of the source is an entry with two floating terminals differential. I tried to return the switches FS/GS on the BNC-2110, but that makes no difference.

Anyone knows similar behavior? Does anyone have any suggestions?
