Scaling Flex Mobile project with iPad Retina display (3rd generation).
Adobe and al.,.
With the new iPad 3 we have now a ton more pixels to use. I know well and have already tested AIR 3.1 + compiler command line option (-platformsdk) for the Retina display on the new iPad. In ActionScript projects mobile, the content is rendered beautifully on the new iPad. But with Flex Mobile projects, something happens that forces him to render incorrectly. It is the retina-fine screen, but the size is too small.
Here is a picture WITHOUT the construction tag - platformsdk, which causes the application to be doubled to fit on the new iPad to pixel:
Note that it is scaled proportionally, even while the text and the items are a bit pixelated. Not a big deal, but noticeable on the device.
This image is taken with the rendering of the app to the retina (the platformsdk - pointing to iOS SDK 5.1 setting):
As you can see, text components are made really clear, but the scale is far away. Obviously, it's getting the width of 2048 x 1536 of the device, but it is much too small.
How can I fix it? I tried to change the applicationDPI, but it doesn't fix it. Setting a width/height of 1024 x 768 has nothing either. It seems that we have to overrride a behavior that causes all so small adjustment.
A little help?
Thank you
iBrent
Richard Lord posted a blog yesterday using the iPad screen retina with Adobe Air and one of the things I noticed is that the new iPad returns a 132 DPI, the specs say that the device is 264 ppi. I don't have one of the new iPads, so I can't test this, but it seems that it is just a case of the return the wrong DPI device which is something that has happened before. I could check the section to this page titled "substitute the default DPI" and see what happens if the device return 240 when running on the new iPad.

Problems with the retina display resolution
Hello
I have a macbook pro (2015) with a retina display 15 "that I can't seem to adjust to the correct resolution. The native resolution, as I understand it, is supposed to be 2880 x 1800. I can't see my resolution when I put its "default value to display" in system preferences, but if I change it to "scaling", it is said that the default resolution "looks like 1440 x 900". Even when I go to the maximum the space option, it doesn't give me that 'looks at 1920 x 1200.
When I up resolutions for the screens of the retina, it looks like the scale at 1440 x 900 option is supposed not to be available for the 13 "display.
The native resolution is not supposed to be available in the options when the scale is selected. What you need is respectful of the eye from the App Store, which will increase the resolution above the option 'More space' completely in the native resolution.

How to get JOT 6s iPhone app to connect via iCloud to JOT in iPad Retina display.
It would be first class for iCloud performance if my JOT application in my iPad (Retina display model) could bind to the JOT app in my iPHone 6 s 64 GB. Does anyone have the path to the link to the app JOT of both devices?
Have you contacted the developer of the application to see if they included this option?

I just bought a brand new 13 "MacBook Pro with the Retina display (no, I didn't wait for the new version of 2016). It's my first MacBook.
I'm looking for advice on what I can to make this last as long as possible. You guys have any advice for me of past experiences or knowledge? It will be greatly appreciated!
Don't drink near him. A spill will ruin the MBP and not be covered by the warranty.
Treat the battery using these instructions from Apple:

CS5 Design Premium and recently bought a MacBook Pro with the retina display
I have CS5 Design Premium and recently bought a MacBook Pro with the retina display. everything seems pixelated. Question: if I buy a large external screen for use with the product Adobe will always look pixelated?
I can't answer that question, but I can say that CS5 is is no longer being updated for the new hardware and operating systems, so as far as I know, if you buy an external with the same kind of screen 'High definition' monitor you have now, you will have the same problem

InDesign CC is certainly consistent with a Retina display. However, CS6 or earlier versions are definitely not.

ActionScript Mobile project with command line
Hey guys, trying to figure out how to compile a project originally created in Flash Builder 4.7 as ActionScript Mobile project with the command line. I found mxmlc and that seems to be exactly what I need, but it seems that take a .mxml file and with this type of project, no .mxml was generated by Flash Builder.
Am I supposed to just create it manually? I hope there is an easier way because the long-term goal is to continue to work with Flash Builder for development and then use the command line to actually deploy the final product and I don't want to have to manage a .mxml file.
Any suggestions? I need the instructions for Windows - thank you!
The solution was to use the - dump-config inside Flash Builder parameter and then use it to pass as an argument to mxmlc with the - load-config parameter. Thank you guys

Flash Builder looks blurry on Macbook Pro with the retina display

Here is the screenshot:

Enlarge the image in actual size and notice that the interface of Flash Builder looks blurry.
Please solve this problem.
Andrey
I had the same problem - could not believe my eyes on how horrible and blurry Flash Builder looked on my new Macbook Pro w retina. Through she had suffered since last week and have just discovered this work around that someone figured out for Eclipse that also works on Flash Builder (guess b/c it is built on Eclipse). Here is the link to the bug report that shows the work around (thanks to Brad Hudgeons):
https://bugs.Eclipse.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=382972
Here is a cut and paste from the bug report in the case of the above url is deleted:
Here's the workaround: Do "Show package contents" on the Eclipse.app. Edit Contents/Info.plist. Just above Place this:
NSHighResolutionCapable Instead of Eclipse, display the contents of the package on Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app. After you change the Info.plist file, go to the Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app and reproduce. It will create an Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 copy.app. Delete your original Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 and rename the Adobe Flash Builder 4.6 Adobe Flash Builder 4.6.app copy.app. Then launch Flash Builder - you should see the text which is much clearer. The graphics on the user interface are still unclear but at least the text should be crispy.

universal support iOS and CSA 2.0. It will affect Flex Mobile projects?
Hello
Regarding the latest release notes for AIR 16, it says
"The legacy compiler is not (and will not) compatible with iOS 64-bit." [...] It will be removed with the 16 of the AIR SDK version"
I'm a little lost with what it means for Flex Mobile (4.6 or Apache Flex SDK). We will always be able to compile once AIR 16 is released or this new compiler will be the issue with Flex compiled for iOS projects? Must make us changes on existing applications in Flex?
Thanks for your clarification,
Fabien
It seems that this evil is rumor spreading around... a lot of people don't bother research properly.
When they talk about the legacy compiler, they speak of the ADT, MXMLC will continue to work. Simplified IPA packaging process is: Source code - MXMLC / ASC2---> SWF - ADT AOT compiler---> IPA
So with AIR 16 ADT -useLegacyAOT argument is removed.

MacBook Pro with the Retina display problem
I put my 2013-model MacBook with Retina display to sleep and tried to turn it on the next day, but he had no answer. I've loaded and kept cool for about 8 hours, but the battery would not get full and it won't always turn. The next day, I continued to load and left for a few hours then disconnected it and in the night I tried again and quite normally on and nothing seems to be wrong! Any idea on what and why it happened?
This is the Office Mac Pro forum. I asked that your post be moved to the MacBook Pro laptop forum.
