Scaling objects without scaling the effects of rounding

After I put on the scale an object with the command and command-> < in CS3 (Mac), the effects of rounding would not be put on the scale. If I had 4mm rounded corners, they would be still 4 mm after the scale of the object. In CS4, however, the effects of rounding are set too. Is there a simple way to scale an object WITHOUT the effects of rounding? I'm sure it's possible, but I can't find the answer...

If you use shortcuts keyboard, keyboard shortcut, you can define shortcuts for scaling and sizing. Sizing will increase/decrease object, but not the rounding RADIUS. The scale will be decrease object and which adapts the rounding RADIUS.

  • How can I do a countdown without use the effects > text > numbers?

I need to count backwards from 6,500,000,000.

Any ideas how to remove that (and especially the separation with commas)?

I was about to try this tutorial , but it has the same limit of number 30000.

    Perhaps misunderstood that, although...

You probably, but not in a strictly formalistic sense. This problem is a general limitation in how deals AE 16-bit double whole precision that affects all the effects / values of the controls (see here for another such case). When you are missing the obvious, is that you don't recognize that for the Visual result no matter how the numbers are generated mathematically, which means that nothing prevents you to use these multiple effects and stringing together to create the illusion. People have done this for years. As an alternative, try to use layers of text and expressions as explained here.

If you are looking just to bring in the bounding box, have you tried just hide within another box and see if that gets rid of the white border?

First thing to do is just draw a rectangle inside the artboard, but big enough for all the dog house, and then select the image and the newly created rectangle and go to object > clipping mask > make. so try and your output file and see what the results are?

  • Size an object without including the contour - Help!

    Hello

This is my first post, I hope someone can help. I have a grid of 100 x 100 mm set up with 10mm divisions. I draw a box of 100 mm x 100 mm and snap to the grid. Then I put a line of 1 mm on the box and resize 120 x 120 mm. The box does not the grid with precision because the area is now 118,811 mm and does not know whether to break to the top or the bottom of the box. It is for the horrible mistakes in my work and it is driving me crazy. I need to see the size of the box 120 x 120 mm regardless of the width of the outline. Anyone know how I can do this. I'm on CS5.5 have CS6 here and install it if it is the only way to solve it.

    Thank you

'use the preview limits' is checked in the Align Panel? is "snap to grid of pixels" on sub transform?

  • How do I move/duplicate small objects without direct corners CC 2014 clutter it!

    Hi people,

I find a problem with living corners on the recent Illustrator CC2014 update...

Living corners used as a feature of the direct Selection tool, but now its about the two types of default selection... As much as I love living corner and use it all the time, its now impossible (or really bloody dangerous) to move or duplicate (with holding alt and dragging) small rectangles. For example, if I wanted to duplicate lots of small windows in a building for example. He catches just a corner and actually it's a circle. Zoom bypasses this but it does not really solve the problem. I am also aware that you can disable the corners quite alive, but if I had to do every time I needed it, so we can go back to the time of the effect > styles > rounded corners.

Everyone falls on this new frustration or have a work around?

You need not hide the bounding box.

  • Scaling multiple objects without scaling of the distance between them, or vice versa

Hello, if you have, for example, three at random circles, how can you in one step change the radii of all three circles without change the distance between them? When I retrieve all circles both by using the selection tool, and use the object-> scale, the size of the circles and the distances between them are set nationally.

Otherwise, how can you increase the distance between the circles (in other words the size of the triangle balance you might say form) without changing the radii of the circles?

This helps to actually create the lines connecting the circles and construction of the triangle, so these distances are in fact objects? Is there a solution without having to do that?

Thanks a lot for all of your thoughts.

    The answer in both cases:

Object > transform > transform each

In the second case, you will first need to everything that the scale and adjust using transform each.

  • Scaling of objects and considering the distance between the focus remain the same

    Hello

    I hope someone can help!

How say you - scaling a form - one square, from small to large, then back to small and having the distance be the same center point of the shape?

I would like to be able to specify the distance and the size of the smallest and largest shape shape and measures between the two.

There must be an easier way than the method of your time, I am using.

    Thank you.

    1. check your smallest and largest square or object

2 make a mixture with the number specified steps and specify the number that you need.

space of 3 at this stage, it is not necessary for to finally make them the distance.

    4. can make the mixture

5 use the effects > distort and Transform > Transform copy, think and move and create a new instance of the mixture.

6 develop the appearance of the transformation now eliminate one of the squares using the direct Selection tool and separate the squares.

    (you must ungroup twice)

7 However, hold down the SHIFT key move one of the smallest place in the position you want it to be in the end.

8 do the same for the other smaller square.

9 select now all places and use of the horizontal center distribute command in the Align Panel or control panel with the option to align the selection.

    That should do it.

Actually easier then indicates the number of steps.

    You get this

  • Scaling of images without breaking the report l / h

IM in a situation where I need to scale images in terms for the container into which he kept...

Is there a formula to find the value of the scale that should be applied to the image (I put the maximum size of the container)? Any ideas would be very nice...

    Thank you.

    Welcome to the forum.

I'm not sure that understand the issue here.

Say you have an image of height and width b. You want to scale to fit in a container of width x and height y. Then the scale factor you use, to ensure that the image fills the container as much as possible, without upsetting the aspect ratio is simply

    min (x/a, y/b)

For example, suppose that your image is 100 x 150 and you want to fit it into an area 30 x 40

    the formula gives:

    min (30/100, 40/150)

This, at what scale will fill all the way up, but not the width.

    Hope it makes sense.

  • How you can group objects without deleting existing animations of the main object?

I would like to know if its possible to avoid to remove animations when the grouping.

For example, I have a group of objects that have animations, and I would like to add another object to this group without deleting the group entertainment.

If you want a set of objects to animate separately, do not group together them. Instead block them; (Arrange > Lock)

You can add other objects to add and lock slide then those.

Individual objects when grouped (Arrange > Group), become indeed a single object, unique objects have only an animation, all the individual objects that have animations will lose their when grouped together.

  • How can I copy some object without it being related to the original?

How to create a pasted object that has the same properties as the original without the 2 related? Or how to break the link?

If you select a displayed object, then do a copy & paste (ctrl + c ctrl + v, copy & paste in the menu drop-down change or hold down the SHIFT key & drag) you make a copy of the original object. If you want a new object created, select the display object and press ctrl (not updated) & drag. Or use Object Explorer when ctrl + c ctrl + v or right click contextual menu to create new objects, but not display.
