  • Scam of Remoting. What they see?

So I fell for the scam of tech support, but my mom ended the call when they wanted $100. I just followed the instructions that the guy on the phone told me after I called them when I saw a pop up alert. I allowed the guy remotely to MacBook Air from my mother, who has her iCloud connected to it. A day after the remote access, my mother went to his notes on his iPhone and I saw that she had only three left instead of eighteen she had of the scam. I wanted to know if they were able to access his notes that are on her iCloud without knowing me. She has credit card information notes. Also, is it possible for them to continue access to distance even after closing of logmein?

  • Update Service Apple emails (scam?)

    Hi guys!

I just wanted to see if someone else has to do these emails lately, and I'm curious to know if they are a scam. I have not said or done anything with them because they are not legitimate for me. I'm 3 in total, including one to an email address that I don't even have an Apple ID, attached to. They are all slightly different, but they usually all say the same thing (example below with correct grammar, punctuation, writing, etc.):

    iCloud ID - censored

It's the last observation to inform you that as of 02 - Sep - 2016 you have not yet updated your iCloud ID information. According to modulation "Know your Customer (kyc)" Apple is required by standards to implement a validation of your information, fault what will result in saving of your Apple ID in the next three days. (of course, going on 3 days and I still have access to my Apple ID)

Please go to the > >

Check your ID iTunes > (clickable link) (the second email says 'Check your iCloud ID' here; the third email to the email address that has no Apple ID is "check your ID iTunes ')

Then, there is a black box at the bottom of the email that says "the image you requested does not exist or is no longer available. imgur.com.

There are other clickable links in the bottom, like 'My Apple ID', 'Support', 'Privacy Policy'... then there Copyright 2016 iTunes Sarl 31-33, street Sainte Zithe L-2763 Luxembourg all rights reserved.

I dunno guys... it seems shady to me. No matter which otherwise get something similar, or know what it is? Thanks in advance!

Check the grammar. He is a fake and bad.

  • iCloud password reset scam e-mail?

Received an email from Apple, as never before, to an alternative e-mail, not my address to iCloud.  He said: "you recently requested a password reset or unlock your Apple ID", with links.  Being suspicious of both the message sent to my other account and grammar, I did follow links in the email.  Am I right in thinking it will be a scam?

It seems certainly doubtful, so I encourage you to report it.

  • Constantly flooded with pop up / phishing scam messages!

Hi, I was wondering if someone could help. For the past 2 weeks I've been flooded with boring jump - rises from the constant / phishing scams "congratulations you have won..." "on my iPhone and an iPad 2! It has gotten to the point now where I can't use any of these devices! as soon as I use safari, google chrome, most apps for example BBC News, BBC sport, etc... It automatically goes to the prize / competition messages and can't click on them. I was not on all questionable websites, just news and sports that I used for years, starting by it seemed to be only BBC sport app but then quickly spread to all! It seems also occur just after I did the last software update, do not know if this is related to the problem?

    So far, I have:

    • Removed from web history (several times)
    • Completely erased and reset all devices and set up as a new iPad / iPhone.
    • Created a new Apple ID, incase it was related to my original account.
    • Make sure blocker made in the settings.
    • Been in the apple store for help twice, they just did what I had already done. He seemed to disappear when in the Apple store, but as soon as I got home n used them once again, he was back!
    • I tried installing apps blocker, but they did not work, and most are not comparable with iPads.
    • Messaged Apple on the Live Chat, but they did not help, just what I had already done before.

I'm completely lost what to do next.

If anyone has any suggestions on how to get rid of these horrible annoying messages / pop - ups, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you

  • Email/invoice for Apple Music composition, do not know if this is legitimate or a scam

Randomly, I received two emails today stating that I will be charged £19.99 for a membership of Apple's music that I didn't sign for, I've never even heard of Apple's music.

I will insert a screenshot of the email below:

Initial points that made me a thing, it was not an official email apple was the "Apple TM Inv." on the line. When I click on this email address who sent me it shows as: [email protected]

ALL my bills have never came 'Apple' and the email address: [email protected]

And also, I do not know someone called Mark, nor do I know anyone who owns an ipod / I don't have an ipod I

I followed the guide on how to see/Manage my subscriptions, instead of clicking on the link in the email, and it doesn't have a subscription on my account.

I'm sure it's a scam, this look like my recent bills but not the same thing. However, I would like to be sure so that money does not come from my account. Any help is appreciated

Also, I apologize if this is in the wrong category, none of them seemed to fit my problem in the slightest
