scan of 309 g: 309 g

I have been scanning documents for years, on and off, using an icon, 'HP printer' or something like that on the desktop. Access the printer via "Devices and printers" did not give availability to scan, perhaps because the 9800 printer driver has been installed (under the direction of HP) a few years ago to solve a problem (but it didn't!). However, the icon on the desktop worked OK but recently he disappeared.

Does anyone have a suggestion as to how I could try to get it back, or in any other way to get the machine to scan? Images, in other words, I use an OCR package that works OK for text.

I strongly suggest that you use the correct driver for the printer and the operating system you are using.  Using the 9800 driver may cause other issues on the line.

Follow the printing and scanning doctor and it will give you the steps to take, or it will even take care of the issue for you.

    You can try to uninstall the printer software (from the control panel), then by restarting your computer and download and reinstall the printer using the same link I posted above.

    That should help the printer freshly and correctly on your computer.

    Here are the steps to scan using the Image Capture on the computer.

    1. to begin, launch the Image Capture in the Applications folder on your hard drive.

    2. once the application is open, select go devices... in the devices menu. If your scanner is listed, select it and click the Use Twain UI button in the upper right pane.

    3. another opens and you can set a limited number of scanning options.

    4. click on the next button download for select the location on your hard drive for the scanned image or document.

    5. type a name for the saved file and select the image you want in the drop-down list beside format of Format. You have three options: JPEG, TIFF, PNG.

    6. change the settings if necessary, and then click Search

    The last page will scan, copy or fax.  But the charger will not expel the last page completely out of the feeder.  The last page will be halfway on the bottom of the feeder.  I searched this site and a few others and can't locate an answer.  I have seen the centre solution and also files with no joy help...  Help please.

    I have 2 computers both wireless and the printer listed above. Laptop works under Win 7 and had no problem with Fax & Scan. Office switched to Win10. Both are 64-bit. I also have Culatello my Netgear router and went with the WIFI from my cable provider. Now neither computer will scan! I can print documents from both computers, but no analysis. Having exhausted all possible nonsense that has been offered. I need this feature to work - a small business depends on it. I also need some directions forward straight and easy to understand to achieve! Someone help me please! Thanks in advance.

    Thanks for your promt help-the enjoy. After I posted my question, I have searched and searched the site of HP and dug up any information that could help. By a miracle, I think that I have reinstall the wizard and Dr. Moreover, both computers would be printed on the printer, but wouldn't analyze.

    I ran the programs and bingo, I can now scan on the laptop with Windows 7! When it rains, it pours, I had to get a new adapter for the desktop on the floor when I run Windows 10. Quickly, I plugged and gave it a try. No luck. So I will finalize the adapter and then try the same game plan.

    IM about to throw this POS out the window... For some reason, I can't scan my computer... I can print, I can even, scanning to a USB key.

    I uninstalled the HP software, and tried to use the Apple drivers, I get a timeout. So I thought I would like to take the HP.com drivers - still no good.

    When you try to scan from the computer, I don't get an error, HP Scan, will just in an infinite loop trying to find the device.

    Since the device, I try the two Scan for computer - add iPhoto library or open in preview.

    I get this error:

    If you are using Snow Leopard and you have the HP software before Snow Leopard (either from a CD that is not marked as compatible with 10.6 or you recently upgraded to Snow Leopard and had the HP software on your Mac before you upgraded), you must uninstall the software by using the "scrubber".  If you do this and you installed from the CD originally, re - install from the CD and uninstall in this way:

    Go to Applications/Hewlett Packard / click Uninstall HP
    Click on continue
    Highlight your device in the left pane
    Hold down the Ctrl and Opt Cmd and click on uninstall
    There will be a pop up that asks if you are sure you want to uninstall all hp software. (At this point, if you continue, all HP printers you have installed will need to be reinstalled)
    Click on continue and let it finish

    Restart your Mac

    Now run a software update.

    Finally, download and install the "Full Featured" driver and software from the "Support & drivers" link at the top of this page.

  • 309 (a) doesn't print after installing the OS 10.7.2.

    After the 10.7.2, update my HP Premium 309 (a) will no longer print or scan.  The iMAC sees the printer, but simply print is no longer.  Only change to the system was updating 10.7.2.

  • HP Photosmart all-in - one a 309 will not print from the main computer in network

    PULLING MY HAIR OUT and have spent endless hours trying to figure this one already, so any advice will be appreciated! This 'deal' of a printer had problems in time over the 18 months or so I got it, but this one takes the cake. My HP Pavilion 6140, Windows 7, 64-bit, isn't wireless, but is connected to a router. My 309 a is wireless, but is in the same room near my computer and is recognized on the network. My husband's computer is sitting across from home in his office and can print wireless from my printer. Sitting here beside him, I can't print anything. We were able to print test pages from it to my computer, but if I go to another file of any type of printing, the printer does nothing. We have uninstalled, reinstalled, tried drivers d/l. He tells us that we need a driver, but when we go to d/l, it says no driver needed, or your drivers are up to date. My crazy husband DID with the router last weekend, on the moment cela everything has started, but since he checked it out, and everything seems fine. Copy the scanner work very well, so printing them isn't a problem either. I can save a file from my computer to the network, run in there and shoot to the top of this file and send it to my printer to print. No problem.  So, can anyone please give me any suggestions as to why my computer is unable to send anything to the printer or the printer does not recognize. Control Panel says it all works well, and the printer is ready. If I go into the properties of the computer, it says "drivers for this device are not installed, code 28. We had other messages of error as well in recent days, but nothing has been solved little matter what we do. Also MY computer doesn't list MY printer in the choice IF I try to print, and it says "printer unknown error has occurred."

    HardBeatZ, I wanted to just say a last thank you for all your help with my computer/printer problems. I hope I won't need this forum in the near future, because once again, I had to choose a different password. Yikes! In any case, we've been on all the roller coaster of emotions these past few weeks. Once you and I spread the printer as being the problem, we have debated on buying a new computer or reload Windows. After shopping and comparison of computers and prices see on them, etc., we decided that we had nothing to lose. So we borrowed an external drive and loaded important data and reinstalled Windows. Once we did that, we could still see the printer on the network, and it would still print from her husband's computer, but not mine. However, it DOES not seem to take care of other issues, and the dreaded exclamation point next to the PC icon has disappeared, so I'm gutsy and reinstalled the printer. For some reason, it still does not work wireless from my computer (which he always did), but I plugged the USB cable and returned to printing, scanning and faxing capabilities. so, I hope that all is well now, and except for paying ridiculous shipping for return monitor (still in warranty) which is released before printer problems, we did not have to shell out the $$$ for computer or printer. Monitor is shipped to me right now, so here's hoping that $$ on shipping was not in vain. Now if only we could be repaid in $$$ for the moment, concern and effort we all time put them into this mess. It WAS definitely a learning experience, even if, in the future, that I'll be a lot less worried to the excavation to solve problems. Thanks again for your time and patience.

  • How do I enter my Photosmart Premium 309 H apps?

    According to HP ePrintcenter FAQ I'm supposed to be able to download applications directly from the touchscreen on my printer 309 H (and not ePrintcenter) but I can not understand how to do this - I "touched" the options that appears on my touch screen and add applications or to access other than those which are preloaded applications will not be displayed.

    In addition, the ePrintcenter does not allow me to ADD my printer because it is a wireless model. All applications appear as 'available' on the site, but there is no connection with 'Add' or 'install' one of the applications. I can not locate any link on the page that says 'my applications' HELP?

    EPrint and printing apps are not supported on the Photosmart Premium C309H all-in.

    Usually mine clean with a slightly damp cloth (wipe softly on the surface) and then just dry with a cloth. This command removes all the dust and finger marks.

    I also used a normal domestic surface cleaning spray (used sparingly) applied with a cloth and this removes any greasy fingerprints that can be on the screen.

    It is very important to not to use cleansers, abrasives or solvents as they may damage the surface of the LCD screen.

    On the restore CD, you will find the image files.
    Image files contain the Windows operating system, Toshiba drivers and utility and some additional example OneNote, WinDVD or some burning applications programs.

    If you want to install a clean Win operating system you need to buy the original Windows operating system and then you can install your required applications.
    But for me it makes no sense, because if you want to use the full features of this magnificent phone you need all Toshiba drivers and utilities.
    If you don't need some applications you can simply remove it from the BONE.

    I recently bought a Satellite M40X-309 in the Portugal. I am very happy with my new laptop except for one detail: I'm Brazilian and accustomed to using Brazilians or US keyboard. The keyboard of the Satellite M40X-309 is different and I can not get used to it, no matter how hard I try.

    Keyboard change shouldn't be a problem. It is easy to do and you can do it alone, but in this case, you lose the warranty. You can try to contact the after-sales Service of Toshiba partner to the Portugal and ask them if they can order a US keyboard for you.

    Another way that you can Google a bit more and order one of a few suppliers of laptop parts. I discovered that the American keyboard has number V000052760.
