Scan to large

I have a J6480 and when I scan to email each page scanned is 1 MB or more. How can I get these little ones?

Change the DPI setting to scan something smaller, thus reducing the size of the image file.

Does anyone have an idea how to parse large files?

    Hello

Incease DPI scan installation will produce large files. But a lot of scanners, printers AIO/MFP have an optical DPI limit they can sweep.

    Kind regards.

  • scanning - too large files!

I have a HP OfficeJet J6480 All In One - when I scan a text of the document in PDF format, the file size is huge - a single page is at least 600Kb to 150 dpi - which makes for too large files to send, if you analyze 10 more pages. Is there a setting to change in order to reduce the file size while leaving the easily readable scan? Thank you

If you use HP's Center version 10, download a version of the photosmart c6380 12 software. Advanced installation to select custom settings. Check the box for the imagery of function of the device and the HP Solution Center, and then uncheck the rest. Select the type of USB connection. in the lower left corner, you will see a box that says "If you cannot connect the device...". Plug the device later... ', check this box.

MOD edit: also, here is a link to another post of Nickyton81 with installation instructions:

  • HP Officejet 6700 Premium: PDF scans too large

I'm trying to scan a document full page 8.5 x 11 but when the PDF file is opened I see only 1/4 of the page. I don't see a way to change the size of the analysis under the set up menu on the printer or the printer on my control panel settings

    Hello

Open the HP Officejet 6700 software from the desktop or start > programs > HP > HP Officejet 6700.

Select scan a Document or Photo, and select Save as PDF.

In the right pane, you can change the size of letter paper.

    Kind regards

  • Problems scanning to PDF with HP Vivera 4280 & Windows 7.

The program of the HP Solution Center let me only scan in .jpg and then convert the 1 by 1 and .pdf pages.  Y at - it another program of management of printing that I can use that would more directly and easily in .pdf?

I think about doing a new printer?  The new HP models allow me to scan a large document directly in .pdf?

    Hi Kent50,

Solution center is compatible with Win 7 64 bit. Please download and install the full feature software and driver from the link below.

  • OfficeJet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one software limited scanning or it can be used via Photoshop?

    Hello...

I use the HP Officejet 6700 Premium e-all-in-one Prod # CV078A on a Macintosh OS 10.6.8 macbook Pro (2.8 ghz Intel Core 2 Duo - 4 GB of DDR3 RAM).

I try to run for the first time since that I recently bought this machine, and I'm running into some problems of quality. Digitization of works very well once I thought I had to use the utility software of HP scanning rather than access the scanner by Photoshop as I always had done before with my HP's Photosmart 2600 (I had for 5 years and more).

The scanner HP scanning software (HP Scan v3.7.9 (59)) seems very limited.

    My questions are:

    • Is there a way to browse from Photoshop (or CS3, 4, 5 or 5.5) TWAIN instead of use the HP scanning software?

    • It is there no quality of analysis options other than a few easy turns, cultures and the very limited color correction, as well as certain preferences that allow adjustments to size/dpi of glass. What about scanning at larger percentages, Descreening and some more detailed agjustment image options?

    Thanks in advance.

    You are welcome

As a general rule, the latest HP Scan 3 of the other less editing software options than previous versions of HP software.

You can set the color settings by clicking the setting icon (). Cropping or rotating of the analysis can be done, but there is no option of resizing by the software.

All image editing must be done with any photo editing software.

  • "Scan to COmputer" change scan settings

I have the J611 Deskjet 3050 a on a PC under Windows 7 64-bit. I need to scan a large amount of images with a certain size and dpi. I prefer to use the printer to analyze and record images without using the computer scan interface automatically. I have not found the options of scan on the control panel of the printer and I didn't any option of the computer interface to change the default settings of the computer analysis. I tried to create a shortcut and scan a picture in hopes that the options will be deferred, but it isn't.

For example I would like to scan the image according to a page size A4 with setting to 600 dpi and color B & W. When I create a shortcut on my computer, it works perfectly. When to place the paper in the printer and click the option scan from the control panel to create the scans of the page size is the whole scanning area and the dpi is 200.

I hope that this is possible, because it will save a lot of time. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your help in advance.

Sorry, you have a problem with the registration of your scanning settings as it looks that you have taken all appropriate measures.  Maybe this suggestion will work:

When you open the HP Scan, make your changes, click Scan.

Then click the sign lower to analyse in another page with the same settings, however it will record all in a single file unless you go to your advanced on HP Scan settings and select the file tab to create a separate file for each scanned page.

In addition, when you first open HP Scan, you will see at the bottom for "Create a new shortcut" and allows you to save these settings as well.

See page 24 of the User Guide for more information, but if my suggestions or link does not help you, how the printer is connected to the computer (USB, Ethernet or wireless)?

  • Question about scanning of photos with Windows Photo Gallery.

I'm trying to scan photos with Windows Photo Gallery.  When I scan, it is not scanner full size. It gives me just a small photo to work. It does not give me an option to choose "paper format" which seems like it should solve my problem.  Help!

I was wondering... What are the dimensions in pixels of the scans? I think it would help if you increase the DPI of your scans to 600 300 or even... look for the custom settings button.

Also... If the scan bed (large white area) is included in any of your scans... try to get a glimpse and you will have an option to drag a rectangle around the exact part of the photo you want to include in your analysis.

Find much info on the scanning on the following site:

  • Scans failed in the solution Center HP claiming huge amounts of space

    Hello

This morning, I tried (twice) scan a large document on a disk that was too full to accommodate it.  Each time, the failure of the scan and HP Solution Center crashed.  Although I looked at disk space decreases after each addition of page, the space was not restored after the program crashed, and I can't find anything that looks like to the document (be it temporary or final form).  These scans are stored in a temporary form somewhere? If this isn't the case, someone has any advice to reconquer the 1.5 GB of space the two scans ' ate '?

    Thank you

    Peter

    Hi Shane,

Believe it or not, I think that I thought about it.  I downloaded a handy utility called WinDir Stat (http://windirstat.info/) which told me the 'Temp' my file 'Documents and Settings' folder under my user name.  There is a folder called "maglevexpresstemp" that contains two subfolders (full of 30 + .tmp files), one more concert and a little less.  They have been created both the morning of my scans and, together, account for the missing space; that these are the scans in question seems to be supported by the following (and many others):

    http://h30499.www3.HP.com/T5/scanners/HP-ScanJet-8250-corrupted-software/TD-p/1154178

    http://superuser.com/questions/193958/why-does-scanning-take-up-so-much-space

... don't really know why my disk cleanup do not take these temporary files, but this seems to be my problem as yours more.  In any case, I am pleased that the missing space has been restored.

    Thank you

    Peter

  • How to remove grey of the scanned image?

I have about a dozen large .tiff files, which are scans of large b & maps in vector w - on top of which people have attracted multicolored markers.

I want to end up with images that are ONLY lines of color. In other words, I want the 'gray' plan to disappear.

I'm not advanced in Photoshop and I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the different tools for color management. The research is nothing quite like what I got. I followed several help articles on the selection of ranges of colours, hue/sat adjustment, etc., but I have the impression there is something I don't get.

Grateful also for suggestions on the entire process. The .tiffs are MUCH bigger that I need (100-150 megabytes). Should I low scale them? Convert to PNG or another format?

My desired final product is a bright and clear these lines of color chart. I could turn them into an animated gif by separating the colors in layers, but I could also hold of print quality of single images.

Thanks for any advice, of "this is how I did exactly what ' 'go read what you missed of course.'

If this is the result you are looking for:

    1. open the file, and then choose Image > Mode > Lab color

    2 Cmd + J to create a duplicate layer

    3. choose the channels and then choose the lightness channel

    4. choose the editing command > fill and fill with white

    5. click on the lab channel, then back to layers

    6. image > Mode > RGB color

7 Cmd + J to create a duplicate layer and change its blending Mode to multiply

    8. Repeat steps 7-intensity colours

If the gray starts to appear, choose curves and move slowly at the end of the point culminating the curve on the side to remove the gray.

  • Burn on DVD using progressive scan

I am DVD authoring with a number of music videos. A music video was shot in HD (1440 x 1080). There are sections in the video where people are moving quickly. I exported the video clip in Premiere CS4 as a MPEG2. However, in the exported video, the figures were distortion when they moved quickly. I did some internet research and found this article: speed of interlaced and progressive scan. I went back to first and changed field order: high voice against zero (progressive). When I exported the video this time, it was beautiful without distortion. However, when I imported the video into the still, and burned the DVD, the video was distorted again (as she had initially). I realized that even though I was first with a progressive scan export, must still export as interlaced video. So, in the still, I went in the project settings. Of course, fields: was set at lower field first. However, all settings are grayed out and I couldn't change their. And I went to the project tab, click with the right button on the music video went to the transcoding settings. I clicked Edit Preset qualityand selected progressive high quality PAL. I have changed a few additional parameters, then returned to transcoding settings and chose this preset. This changed fields: to no frame (Progressive Scan). Large. I thought I had solved the problem! When I burned the DVD, however, the same distortion still took place.

Now I think that I need to change the DVD settings in project settings to make no frame (progressive scan), but these options are grayed out and I can't change them! Help, please! There must be a way to burn this video on DVD without this distortion!

SCREENSHOT OF THE MUSIC VIDEO EXPORTED FROM FIRST (WITH THE PROGRESSIVE... NO DISTORTION).

If anyone has any ideas on how I can avoid this distortion, I'd love to hear them.

Thanks a lot for your time!

    ADDITIONAL NOTES:

There are some standard definition on DVD music videos. These are defined for transcode automatic, and they are not distorting. It's just the HD clips distorting.

In, the maximum Audio/video bitrate is set to 8.0 Mbit/s.

Sorry I assumed it was because of the 1440 resolution hdv camera but its an avchd camera.

    Project settings: avchd 1080i25 anamorfic.

Export settings: mpeg2-dvd, max rendering quality, no preview.

This export will give you two files, one for video and one for audio.

    Import into Encore.

  • The scanner settings

How can I get the scanner to scan a larger surface? It cuts the images and I want to give a larger surface to be scanned.

    I have an all-in-One hp scanner 6600.

    Thanks for any help.

    Thanks for the clarification,

By a scan workflow I reffer to the default scan settings.

Could if it you please let me know your exact OS version?

The fact that you have installed the printer using the CD or by downloading the latest version of the software?

To try now go to Applications > Hewlett-Packard > utility device. Follow the installation wizard HP by re-adding the printer and check if the scanning settings will appear then...

Please provide additional details in the event of problem,
