Scanner HP 5590

How can I get my HP 5590 scanner to work with my Mac Mini with OS Mavericks?

Hello

Download and use the latest version of the software below:

http://h20566.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdDetails/?sp4ts.oid=377691&spf_p.tpst=swdMain&spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3Didx%253D%257CswItem%253Dcs_112996_3%257CswEnvOID%253D4159%257CitemLocale%253D%257CswLang%253D%257Cmode%253D%257Caction%253DdriverDocument&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

After the installation of the software you can scan using Image Capture, Preview, Printers & Scanners or the front of your scanner search buttons.

  • I can't photoshop CS6 to import from my scanner HP scanjet 5590?

I can't photoshop CS6 to import from my scanner HP scanjet 5590? I tried plug ins and software scanning of reinstally but it only recognizes my main scanner/printer!

Photoshop CS6 is 64-bit only. TWAIN drivers are not entirely 64-bit (for the moment).

You should consider probably check with HP (supporting Web site or by phone) if they have a fully 64-bit compatible driver. If this isn't the case, you can try to use VueScan. Download here: http://www.hamrick.com/

  • HP Scanjet 5590: Scanjet 5590 & Win10 64-bit - install and scanning does not work

1 install the latest official software for Scanjet 5590 stops in the Middle after the first component (software scanjet 5590) before TWAIN / Iris etc. Macromedia window remains opent "Please wait" but the 2nd part of the installation process does not start.

    2. no doubt as a result no scanninng. Before the scanner buttons not working do not (missing twain) and scan from the software installed launch the scanner (activate powersave); Opens the window of the software, but analysis does not start.

    Win10 64-bit; USB. HP CP1025nw the wireless is the other HP product installed. ASUS z97 MB, i7 - 4790 k / 16GB, SSD.

I tried and does not work:

-different, another USB port USB cable

    -new installation of 64-bit Win10

-a lot of removing the software and driver (windows install cleaner, file removal, registry) and reinstall

-HP support assistant/framework/scanning, printing doctor [result "don't install the driver" awhile, but obviously it is installed and the wizard fails to resintall it]

Installation of the software in safe mode (after editing registry it is possible) all the complete component installs (scan software, iris, twain, etc.) but always the same questions: scanning does not work.

    Any idea or suggestion?

OK, here's the solution that works for me:

    In brief

-check out you the shape of the package files (winrar will be required)

  • Scanjet 5590

This isn't an important topic, but I do not think to run best if possible.

I'm very good results with my Scanjet 5590 but wonder if I could speed up things a bit.   Currently, for starters, I open my HP Scanning file (5590), which offers a choice of actions shown on my computer screen, and then give instructions from there.   However, I see that the manual gives to think I could use the buttons on the front of the scanner to start things rolling.   However, pressing any button gives no reaction at all.   Questions are, if the scanner is not properly installed, and, if that were the case, it would be an improvement on the current path?

    Hi, student graduated.

Thanks for this info.   However, the first address seems to apply only to the scanners G4010 and G4050, while the second address tells me to go to Center solutions HP. I and I don't seem to have this item on my Pc, only "HP Scanning" as I explained.   However, reading further I see "recommendation: stick the Panel buttons to HP, not solutions center software before scanning." Essentially, the two methods perform the same actions, and the software is easier access to make changes to scan jobs. "that seems to coincide and agree with my current operating system.

All this makes me think I think I need to go, unless you have anything more to suggest, it's thank you and goodbye!

  • Software Windows 7 for Scanjet 5590

I have a new computer running Windows 7 x 64 and a new scanjet 5590.  The software provided with the scanjet will not load on my computer.  I can't force a load of 32-bit (x 86).  Does anyone have an idea where HP is going to move to free software compatible with Windows 7?   After reading the messages of DGL, I wonder if all I got is another version of the IBM boat anchor.

Win7 drivers can be found here:

I had this scanner for a few years and had no problems.

  • HP Scanjet 3500c: Scanner operation

I want to use this scanner with Windows 8.1 because it scans photos, negatives and slides, and has done for many years.  I tried to install it on my new computer, but it would not install - ostensbly due to missing driver, although I have the original disc with the software of the product.

HP website lists the product but has no answer for the download of updated drivers.

    Hey 54jack,

You can check the Scanjet G3110 which seems to meet all your needs:

  • Scanner not recongised

I am tring to get a HPscanjet 5590 to work. My wife is now with this scanner at home and she could not find the disk. I downloaded the software and driver from the HP site, and although the icon appears on the screen and work the first time when she stops and reopens it is not recongnised. A dialog box opens saying to turn off the machine for 60 seconds, re - install etc. All made and when I look in the extra bit it says "Uknown USB device" can anyone help?

David-ST58Hello and welcome to the Forums of HP.

I'm sorry, but to get your question more exposure I suggest posting in the trade forums since it is a commercial product. You can do so at http://h30499.www3.hp.com/hpeb/ .

  • Scanjet 5590 driver does not not in Windows 8.1

Scanjet 5590 worked well with W8. After the update to W8.1 beginning of the said software scanner cannot be found. Downloaded HP Print & Scan doctor who reveals a drive problem. Message displayed after after reconnection to scan and reboot the PC: the problem is not resolved, go to HP customer care for help with this problem.

I'm here, anyone an idea how to fix this?

Thanks in advance for your kind help with this issue.

    Ruud

PS. : Attachments in the Dutch language, sorry!

    Problem solved for me

    I did 2 things:

    (1) a clean install of 8.1 W. If you google there is a few ways to do it right from a W8.1 ISO.

    (2) I have seen that on the drivers download page as the base for W8.1 drivers have been announced. I decided to use the full functionality for W 8.0 drivers (version 14.5) to see if it would work as I would like to have more then just the base drivers. Link: http://h20565.www2.hp.com/portal/site/hpsc/template.PAGE/public/psi/swdHome/?sp4ts.oid=377691&spf_p.tpst=swdMain&spf_p.prp_swdMain=wsrp-navigationalState%3DswEnvOID%253D4132%257CswLang%253D%257Caction%253DlistDriver&javax.portlet.begCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken&javax.portlet.endCacheTok=com.vignette.cachetoken

When the program started it looked for updates, installed the drivers, asked me to connect the scanjet 5590 and the PC recognized the scanjet yet?
I'm not sure what did the trick, that's why I mention these two changes I made.

I hope this helps also for others, having the same problem.

  • Scanner HP M277 function seems to arbitrarily arrest

Since the Mac OS upgrade, I have a strange problem. The function scanner built into the provided Apple, HP M277 printer driver seems to stop arbitrarily. When the button "scan" in the print queue window will be gray. If I go into the preferences system-> printers and Scanners and select the printer M277c6 there and click on the "Scan" button, then open Scanner it will try to open the window of the scanner, but it stall and never finish.

When I restart the computer scanner function seems to be restored and everything works as it should. Someone has an idea of what's going on here?

I go on the HP website and downloaded their software HP Easy Start and completely re - configure the printer with it, but still the same problem.

Also, I reinstalled the Apple HP (19,13) v5.0 driver. But always after a certain period of time, the scanner is therefore more accessible. I was not able to point of pin code if another program is the cause. Any suggestions?

There was an Apple update to restore scanning for some HP printers earlier today. Did you check App Store updates?

  • Canon scanner

Opening of the early Sierra brings up a Panel for list for the user to select scanners. For me no scanners are listed. I have a Canon MG7520 that has worked well for more than a year of Apple operating.

After checking the scanner and find WiFi and other features everything in order, tempting scan shows a report of several reasons for the failure. The last seems to appply. He says that the name of the scanner is not correct.

Experiment, I found a work around start in the Apple preferences and go Printers and scanners. It works as follows:

Power scanner / place the document on the scanner glass / open preferences from Apple (for the top of the screen to the left) / open Printers and scanners / scanner names listed / select or enter MG7500 Canon series 6 / Scanner screen opens (it shows a symbol of a scanner and scan of the word in its upper right) / select the area to be scanned in the new box / click the scan symbol (a form opens allowing the user to specify a name and a location for the scan).

All this applies only to Canon printer/scanner and maybe not all of them. I imagine that Apple will correct the defect of the opening screen of the Sierra to do its job.

You welcome any comments from the user.

Apple - hope you're listening to.

    (2) it is a product of canon, they can choose to support or not. Apple will not reverse engineer their OS to work for someone else's decision. the developers of Canon had access to OS X 10.12 months before it was public to make the drivers work or not, they chose to not
