Hello Joop
Glad to hear that you found a way to scan. If you're up for it, the instructions below would be the next steps. It should not effect your ability to access the Web server integrated (EWS) and should 'own' or 'scrub' all your computer hp printer drivers. This should allow a reinstallation of the software of the printer. The result should be a centre of solutions of job once again, and this can also dispel the Scan Doctor C++ runtime error and printing (Print and Scan doctor may be trying to call data from a corrupted file).
Let me know what happens.

Hello divegirlusa,
I recommend that you try to run our utility Scan for diagnosis. The utility runs a number of tests, but especially, it performs a test designed to help with no option of scan of façade. The utility is on your product on HP.com support page, or you can simply follow this link.

Usually, if I turn off the all-in-one scan options back, but now only two options appear... scan and reprint and scan to memory device. I need to get the option scan to e-mail and scan to file return. Please be explicit as I am chanllenged of the computer.
It seems that not all the options are in the analysis... installation options. Try to check all the parameters of the analysis options to ensure that these file type options are not present. So, please take a look through the information below the link.
A 'no. Scan Options' or "scan settings are not defined" Message displays on the all-in-one
I hope this can help you go back with the right scanning options.

OfficeJet j4680 State there is no scan option
My printer is correctly installed and the message scan is no. OPTIONS ANALYSIS
Hi JZ,.
You can't have the 'base' installed printer. For easy and full of scanning options, you need the 'full package', that is, the software feature complete for this printer.
If you can not get the software of full functionality for your operating system, you may be able to use Windows Fax and Scan. It's primitive compared to other options, but at least it works. The feature is available on Windows 7.
Be aware that sizes for the full feature software download can be very important (about 110 MB approximately 390 MB)-take this into account if you have a slow internet connection.
I have included below the instructions you need (and more):
====================================================================================
Install the printer driver / software
If your printer doesn't work anymore (and this isn't a hardware problem), it may be because of software or driver issues. There are tools to help you diagnose the problem and help documents to guide you to success.
You might just want extra features for your printer, or need additional tools to help the scheduled maintenance.
In many cases, you can (re) install the full features software for your printer to improve its capabilities. The HP Solution Center is an integral part of the FFS. For e-print, you can e-print software.
If you have the CD that came with your printer, use it to install the printing software. If you do not have the CD, or if the software on the CD is outdated, you can use the installation online tools.
(Re) install the driver software HP printer full-functionality or other basic software for your printer:
Drivers hardware order connected to the computer (wired or wireless).
Software control programs that interact with the user.
- Go to the top of the forum page for
- Enter your printer model informationand then go to the drivers and software...
- Enter your operating system from the menu drop-down... Click NEXT and scroll down
- Find the category driver - software product installation
- Select the appropriate basic pilot, e-print, or the full functionality of the software, if applicable
- Save the installation on your computer package *.exe
Optional:
- Find the category utility-Diagnostic tools
- Select "HP Print and Scan Doctor" - save the package on your computer.
- NOTE name and location the file when you save the file (s). The *.exe files will save probably for the "folder"downloads. "
- Install the software / driver installation package (s). Install utilities first, as appropriate.
- If you have control of "Admin", you can highlight the package and "double-click on ' to install it, otherwise just right-click, select"Run as Administrator"and install.
NOTES:
- Download and install the driver software before connecting the USB cable.
- Once installation is complete, remember to check and install the relevant updates - check the category - updated
Sometimes there is a lot of information on the Web site, including manuals, how-to pages and alerts for your printer. Be sure to take a comprehensive look at what's available.

No scan option does not appear when I try to scan
I have an officejet 4315 all in one. using windows 7. an error indicating "no scan option" message when I try to scan. the fax and copier work so I am confused. tried to download a new driver. According to hp, windows 7 will automatically download the driver for me. It's so frustrating.
As you use this printer with Windows 7 and there is no software for your printer that supports Windows 7, you will not be able to scan using the front of the printer. This document shows which buttons will you and will not work with Windows 7. This document will show you how to scan from the computer without the software being installed. Hope that helps.

Scanning options disappeared with Windows Installer 8.1
Recently bought a new laptop with Windows 8.1. Finally managed to get my PhotosmartPlus B209 connected so it'll print and scan. On my old laptop, when I scanned it pictures, there was a lot of options to choose from before that I did the actual analysis: several images, resize, rotate, resolution, color correction, to name a few. Now, on the only option I have is the resolution and can only scan a whole page - not many images. What Miss me? What should I do to get all my previous options available? Added note, I had to change my PhotoImpact 12 PhotoShop elements like my photo editor.
Found my own answer. HP tools for scanning only works on the TWAIN compatible devices. Photoshop has a plugin option that does not install automatically. Once I found and copied into the correct plug-ins folder, everything works again.

Why hasn't MX320 Solution Menu scan option
When I initially installed my MX320 in Windows Home Premium, I installed the Menu Solution and used successfully to scan documenets and back up the files on my computer for several years. After my mother destroyed auto map, I put together a new computer with a hard drive completely blank (no residual programs). I have re-installed the mx320 using the original drive and now the menu takes has no scan option to choose from. I tried to download the software and drivers absolutely without success. Is it possible that the installation of the 'real' Solution Menu is limited to the original installation?
I also unsuccessfully scanning for the PC by using the control panel of the printer. He goes into a long "Please wait a moment" and poster possibly 'sleep scan PC' forever.
I know that these issues were discussed in detail with any forthcoming solution. My solution is to replace the printer but for sure not with a gun.
I contacted Canon Support and got a response in less than a day. The problem is that you must download MP Navigator to your system in addition to the Menu of the Solution. I did this and a Scan biutton appeared in the Soluion Menu. The scan function worked as before.

My operating system is Windows XP Pro (32 bit). Since the day I first connected the printer that I had no problem with scanning from the printer control panel. Last week I started having some 'no. Scan Option' on the control panel. Looking for a solution I did each of the actions that HP recommends, finally uninstall the old software and do a clean install using OJJ4600_Full_14.exe. At that time, I was able to scan from the printer control panel.
At least for a day. After you start the next day, he returned to the message "no Scan Options". However, I AM able to scan from the HP Solution Center.
I tried to run printing HP and doctor Scan, but it hangs up on the 'Twain' part and does not move forward. At least it didn't have 15 minutes...
Anyone have clues as to why it will not scan from the Control Panel printer and what I need to do to fix this annoying problem?
Thank you very much.
Tried everything again.
But when I opened the center of Solution after the reboot, I got this message: "HP solutions Center can not run because your device installation is not complete:, then gave a few steps to connect the printer or re - run the game to the top."
Instead of making the gain of installationUn, I "enabled" all services and rebooted.
After he came, I opened the center of Solution and did some checking on the parameters of the "Scan" button On the tab "Buttons front panel scan", I clicked on the 'Scan to Setup (Front Panel list"added several shortcuts scan, then clicked on"update of the device.
Now sweep from the right panel works! And if it stops, I'll go to the Solution Center and redo my steps.
Thanks a lot for your suggetions, because they prompted me to test other things, and for the moment, the scanner works.

Scan option disappeared: C7280 Mac OS 10.7 Lion
I replaced my router (old: Cisco, new: Airport Extreme) and had to change the C7280 being on the net without wire itself to be plugged into the Airport Extreme router via USB.
I had a lot of trouble to add the queue for the C7280 to my printing & scanning options: HP does not offer driver downloads for it and Apple said there was no software available for this. I finally got the added thing and print works very well.
It is, however, now no option available for the C7280 scan. Not at all, not in the preview, and not in the print queue. Nowhere else.
I have to be able to scan directly from my computer. How to bring back this feature? How can I make sure add and configure this all-in-one in these circumstances?
Thanks in advance!
Hello
Of Airport Extreme USB port provides print sharing only, it does not have any capabilities scan:
http://www.Apple.com/airportextreme/features/printing.html
In order to obtain full functionality, make sure you connect the USB device directly to the Mac or using an Ethernet or Airport Extreme wireless.
Then, go into System Preferences > print & scanning.
Delete the existing queue and click on the Plus sign to add the printer, it appears as the USB or Hello for the network connection.
Make sure to install HP was last updated by clicking the Apple icon, then software updated.
Please let me know of any questions,
Shlomi
