  • Problem with scanning from printer to PC under win8

I have a HP Officejet pro 8600 that I moved PC on XP again PC under windows 8. having problem scanning the computer.

Get the software error message attempts to save the scan pdf file in the directory "C:\Documents and Settings\userid\my documents" but access is denied.  There is no such directory in windows 8.

I've uninstalled and reinstalled the software for windows 8 and run HP print and scan doctor, he says that everything is ok.  I can scan if I start it from the pc because when it gives the same error there is a way to save in a different directory.   The scanning started from the printer does not provide this option, seems to be wired, maybe an environment variable needs to be reset?

Try using the wizard provided in the options of the Officejet.

    1. double-click on the icon of the Officejet 8600 in the office.

    2. then, select in the HP printer Assistant and look for the option Scan to Folder Wizard.

3 follow the instructions in the wizard, also do not forget to provide the user and the password for your Windows account to allow the scanner saves the file in the folder.

  • ePrint 7510 does not recognize my iPad when you try to scan from printer iPad.

The printer and the iPad are connected to the same wireless system. The iPad will print successfully to the 7510 on the wireless system, as well as by e-mail via the website of HP. The printer recognizes and list the computer from apple that was loaded with the drivers that came with the printer for analysis and sends the information scanned to this computer. Because the printer does not recognize my iPad, I tried to load the drivers on the iPad to the HP site. I received an error message saying safari can't down load the drivers. Is it not possible to scan from the printer to the iPad? Is there another procedure that works? Thank you.

    Hello

To scan from your iPad, install and use the application of HP ePrint home & biz.

You can initialize the app scan, scan from the front panel of the printer to an iPad is not supported.

Follow the steps below to get the app:

And below, you can discover how to analyze to use it:

  • HP Lazerjet CM1312nfi: Scan from printer to computer

When you try to scan I am rejected by message that a device has not been selected. I used the Setup Assistant and Director of HP but used tutorials don't tell me how to configure the computer as the device I want to scan to.

    Hello

HP Director and the installation wizard are not Mavericks, but for older versions of OS X.

You can scan somehow your computer at all?

As shown below, scan is no longer supported for your device on any version of Mac OS X newer than the Lion (10.7)

    http://h20564.www2.HP.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docid=emr_na-c03800910

Scanning is no longer supported on any OS X from Cougar or any later version, obviously not the façade and not either from the computer in any method.

Try the of VueScan 3rd party application which seems to support your scanner on Mavericks:

  • Can not scan from printer

I'm trying to scan documents for my Photosmart C410A printer for my computer. When I hit ok, I get the message "try to start the computer can." Should what program I use? I tried the HP Solution Center, but he says he can't work because the installation was not completed. Whwn I run the Setup, I get the installation complete message. How do the scan to run automatically from the computer?

If you get the message "No Installation", then we will first try to uninstall and reinstall the printer to get this support issue. Here are my instructions on how to do it:

First of all, if you use a USB cable, be sure to remove it. Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer.

The START menu type "%temp%" and press on ENTER. Here, I want you to press Ctrl+A and press on REMOVE. Some files you cannot delete them, ignore these files and delete the majority that allows it to.

Follow this link to download full feature software and drivers of the printer:

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?cc=us&LC=en&DLC=en&product=4059652

Install and let me know the result!

As a side note, you should be able to continue to use the Windows Fax and application of scanning or MS Paint and use your scanner to import images from your scanner directly to either of these applications.

    Have a great day!

  • scanning multiple pages to the single PDF using HP ENVY 4500

The guide says scan of the computer (as opposed to scanning from printer).  I do that and still can't scan multiple pages into a single PDF file.  Is it still possible?

    Hi griff0530,

I understand that you want to scan multipage documents into a single .pdf file using your HP Envy 4500, yes it is quite possible.  When you use the HP software on your computer, follow the steps below:

    1. loading the document.

    2. click on scan . An overview of the analysis is displayed (by default).

Important : the Preview Scan function must be enabled for scan multiple pages into one file documents. Additional pages from the original are added for the single file in the Scan preview window.

    3. in the scan preview is displayed, do one of the following actions:

Click the sign Plus () on the left side of the window to scan additional pages. If you do not use an ADF, you must load the next page of the document on the glass of the scanner to add to each additional page.

    4. click on Save to capture the scanned file, but leave open the HP Scan.

    5. click on done to capture the scanned file and close HP Scan.

I found this great information here: how Scan: Windows 7

If you are using any other operating system, it's ok the same steps apply. I hope that's what need you!
