Screen 5600ea - completely black HP Omni 10 after crash while on the remote desktop connection

I hope someone can help me with this.

I had updated my Omni 10 to Windows Pro 8.1 so that I can Office remotely on my tablet on my work lan to get the benefits of the 2013 Office (we have not this version to work) on my work PC.

Anyway, while it is connected to my 10 Omni via desktop remotely my Omni 10 crashed after connecting a USB drive that is powered via a USB OTG adapter. I used the front adapter without any problem with the USB card readers bus-powered and also the Lan USB card so I know it works, and the outlet powered USB hard drive works on my PC without any problem.

The Omni disconnected from the remote desktop, and I guess it crashed, but the screen is black even when I hold down the power button and wait for the vibration (which usually means that it is set to zero).

There is nothing displayed on screen, my work PC is unable to connect via Remote Desktop, and any number of power cycles seems to relive.

I tried with the attached Omni 10 charger and without.

There is no HP logo involve restarting at any point, but the Windows key infiltrates a vibration when I push on it.

While enjoying the fact that the Omni 10 comes with the base Windows 8.1 and not Pro so I changed the configuration it worked fine for a few weeks since the installation.

Pointers on getting this thing to life would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I returned to the store that I bought, and they sent to HP for warranty repair.

28 days ago so I went back to the store and they gave me a brand new boxed 10 Omni processor.

When I got home I installed the driver and Windows updates. I noticed that the WiFi reception was really bad, even right next to my router, and the cameras had lines on the screen and the pictures that I took.

The next day I went back to the store and they said all that and they initially said that I have to wait another 28 days, while it went for repair. When I said that this was not acceptable, they gave me a full refund of the amount that I had paid and used that to purchase a Pro of Microsoft Surface.

The Microsoft Surface Pro is fast, well doneand more importantly everything works.

    Hello!

Akuma's right, if you have the same problem on an external monitor s seems to be that the motherboard or the graphics chip is defective and must be replaced.

In your case I would contact an ASP. They can check your laptop and swap the motherboard.

  • Remote Desktop connects then stops after a few seconds

I have two laptops to Windows 7.  We run OpenVPN which I will refer to the VPN server.  The other is the Client and with me on trips.  Open VPN is configured on the Client and the VPN server, and I can connect from inside and outside the network without any problems.  I also have an Open VPN Client with another port configured on a server QNAS.  I can connect without any problems.

I want to run the OpenVPN server on one VLAN separated to prevent users to see my internal network and only sees another NAS.  I also use the VPN to offer our few users (3) the ability to connect and use my static IP address.

I have a router TP-Link-ER-6120.  I can configure the three ports to run in 3 separate VLANS.  When I configure the VPN server works on my regular network to exploit the VLAN1 and VLAN2, I can always connect to OpenVPN and all I want to do works (NAS and Internet access with my static IP).  However, when I try to establish a Session to the VPN server computer remote desktop, I get the login and enter my user name and password.  I see the remote desktop window, open and usually see the remote desktop wallpaper and loading the desktop icons.  Then it crashes.  If he does until I can see the desktop, it automatically attempts to reconnect.  If she makes it that far, it stops with a window that says Remote Desktop connection has been disconnected.

If I come back in the configuration of the router and change the configuration of VLAN for the server VPN is on the same virtual network, I can connect and the remote desktop connection is successful, as long as the customer is located on my network.  If I connect the Client to the VPN server from outside my network in this configuration, the remote desktop will always fail in the same manner described above.  I also have a QNAS on my network with OpenVPN configured and operational.  If I connect the Client computer to the QNAS, I can connect to the VPN server until the VPN server is placed in its own VIRTUAL LAN.

Thus, work Desktop connections to local computers.

However, since a remote off-grid remote office connections begin to work, but are stopped when connecting.

-J' I ping the VPN server during connection attempts and never lose the connection.

-J' used telnet to Server VPN 3389 port and it connects.

-J' turned off the firewalls on both sides and went up to remove Symantec on the VPN and BitDefender server on the side side Client to use Windows Firewall on both.  And then disabled Windows Firewall as well and still no joy.

Is there a setting in Windows I'm missing that allow the desktop connection remote on the LAN, but not enable during login remotely even if I can ping, telnet and usually access the rest of the network?

Is it maybe a configuration problem on the side of the router?  Installation side route is a very simple graphic interface.  I configured for the VPN service roads and they remain in place (one for the QNAS) and one for the OpenVPN server.  I set up a static route (virtual server) for port 3389 go directly to the IP address of the VPN server, but that did nothing.

Miss me probably something simple, but it launched my ass for weeks now.

    Any ideas?

  • Windows Media Center crashes under Remote Desktop connection after the installation of KB2592687

When you view another computer (Win7 Pro for Win7 Pro) via the remote desktop connection, this (KB2592687) update causes Windows Media Center not start or leave immediately, in both cases briefly showing a popup that reads:

Windows Media Center has stopped working

Both computers have installed KB259687.  WMC works by connecting directly to each machine.  If KB259687 is uninstalled on the machine connected remotely via the remote desktop connection, you can run once again, WMC in the distance window.  Note the video is not available, but you are able to verify existing records, change the calendar, see the rack TV, etc. (everything as before).  Records on demand on the PC are working correctly, I had a crash the system (blue screen) apparently because of this.

Note that there is no problem watching a WMC when using desktop remote connection to a Pro Win8 machine when connected to a machine, Win7 Pro.  WMC is installed on the machine Win8 Pro and is adjustable from inside the Desktop Login window on the Win7 Pro machine remotely.

I had the same problem, but uninstalling the update didn't fix it for me.   I have studied and found that permissions for key reg key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\Rdp-Tcp included not all permissions for the users group, just like the other subkeys.  Maybe the update of above RDP modified these permissions?  In any case, when I added for this key for users read permissions, shell new WMC would begin in an RDP session.  I also found this race the ehshell 'as administrator' would work under RDP, but this was not necessary in the past.

  • Satellite L500 - screen is completely black after stand-by

I have a L500 and after that my computer is on standby, the tried to reactivate it. Now it will not display anything on the screen its completely black and have no idea of what should happen or do.

    Can anyone help?

    Hey,.

You see something on a screen? The internal screen is probably defective, so you don t see anything.

If an external monitor stays black I would try to remove the battery and unplug the AC adapter. Then wait at least one or all the night. Now connect the AC adapter and install the battery. Before you turn on the laptop, make sure that the battery is fully charged. Now, try to start your laptop and check what is happening.

In the worst case it serious hardware malfunction and that means that you would need professional assistance service authorized in your country.

  • Satellite A500 - screen is completely black

I got my laptop Satellite A500 for about 4 months and already there is a problem with it.

After that I had played a few MMO on it for a while so I decided to power out of the night. The next day I started my A500 and there was a completely gray screen and I waited for at least half an hour before holding the power button for 6 seconds just to restart, so when my A500 started to the top of the screen was completely black, but the power LED light was off, but the only lights which were the key commands on the Panel next to the screen and the power light to indicate that it carried out.

After several tries, the problem had been held, is anyway to fix this?

    Hi mate,

Have you plugged an external monitor? I mean without it it's hard to say what causes this problem, but I guess that he associated material s. So if the external proceedings, I think that only the internal display is the cause maybe the FL inverter?

Anyway, in both cases you need assistance from an authorized service provider. Guys can check your laptop and fix it for you. :)

  • The button on my lockscreen does not work on my phone. Recently, my screen went completely black. I can turn on siri. How can I get my screen to turn back?

My 5 IPhone lockscreen button does not work so I use touch help to the screen power off and screenshot. As I was using my phone my screen went completely black. I tried to plug it into a charger and call but the screen still won't turn. My phone vibrates when I call and I can't turn on siri. I tried to search the Internet on how to re-enable it. Everything I've seen involves using the screen lock button but obviously I can not use it. How do I reactivate it?

    Hello tumbler3100,

Thank you for using communities Support from Apple!

I understand that your iPhone screen is returned while you were using it and the on/standby button does more either. Because your iPhone is always vibrate when you call and you are able to use Siri, it seems there is a problem with the backlight on your iPhone.

Because you have a separate hardware two related issues going on with your iPhone, I suggest putting your iPhone in an Apple Retail Store or Apple authorized service for an assessment of your device provider. More information about these options can be found in the following link.

  • Through router remote desktop connection gets login screen, but the administrator is the only option (windows 7 pro)

I have a new windows 7 pro system which has been configured to host a remote desktop connection.  There are 1 user account (active admin), the port number was changed from 3389 and I think that the firewall is disabled (it's Norton Internet Security and I tried to completely disable the firewall).

When I established a remote connection from another computer on the same subnet, the client asks for login/password and the connection ends and goes directly to the screen of the user.

This subnet has an internet connection via a firewall or router.  It has been configured to redirect incoming connections for the custom to the host port number.

When I establish a remote connection from outside through the firewall I am invited to login/password, but the Welcome screen appears and the only options are administrator and other users.  Administrator is blocked for the account restrictions and using other users to type the login and the password does not work - it still fails on bad login/password.

I've seen this problem described in other forums, but have not seen a solution - anyone got one?

    Thank you

  • Window sizes host display does not restore after a remote desktop connection

After that my computer has been accessed via a remote desktop connection, the window size for my program do not restore their previous size.  I have monitors of landscape which are larger than most of the remote users.  When they log off my computer, my window sizes are stuck to the size of the monitor of the remote user.  Y at - it a setting or a way to get my windows to restore to their original size?

No, there is no setting for this.  It's just the way it's always been since Remote Desktop was invented (formerly in the 1990s as Microsoft Terminal Services Client or MSTSC).

At the heart of the problem is that the programs that run on the desktop have no way of knowing that the display size has changed, and even if they did, they also can't know what was their previous size.  It is not just stored.

  • screen resolution of the remote desktop: fonts and icons of the remote desktop window are so small they can barely read.

    Remote Desktop screen resolution

I've recently upgraded to a Windows 7 laptop from a computer in Office XP.

On my old machine, I use a VPN clent and Remote Desktop connection to use my work computer (my company uses XP on their machines).  If I try to connect from my computer Windows 7, fonts and icons of the remote desktop window are so small they can barely read.  Change display options in the settings of remote desktop doesn't affect the size of the window, not the resolution.

It is a problem because I am stuck using my old system to work remotely.

    Any ideas?

All you have to do is to reduce the resolution of the screen that you use to connect to your Remote Desktop Session.  More the higher resolution and the characters will be on your screen, and when you connect to Remote Desktop.  In my case, I lowered the resolution of my screen to the House for the resolution of the screen in my office.  It works perfectly.  To reduce the resolution follow these steps:

    1. click on start

    2. click on Control Panel

    3. under appearance & personalization - click on adjust screen resolution.  You may get a message indicating that your resolution is not at the optimum, but don't worry you will still be able to see the letters on your screen.

  • After the remote access connection, network printers disconnected

I hope someone can help me here.

In Windows Vista, whenever I would give the remote access connection to my PC at home, my default printer (which was be a shared printer on the network out of my server) will prepare its default value.  It was boring but easily fixible.

I've since upgraded to Windows 7 Ultimate and I'm having a related problem.  Now every time I connect remotely to my home PC, my default printer (same network shared printer - HP LJ 4000) disconnects, and it only comes back online after a reboot.

It is a point of pain is huge for me because I usually 20 + / applications windows running at a given time and a restart takes 30 minutes out of my day to get back to where I was.

  • Via hangs with masking welcome screen remote desktop connection all but the ORB start

I have 2 computers to Windows 7. 1 a desktop computer and another is a laptop. I want to connect from the laptop to the desktop by using desktop remotely. Now, when I do, I find myself with the image of the Welcome screen that covers everything except for the ORB start. I also see my image of user if I press the Windows key on the keyboard of the laptop.

If I close the Remote Desktop window and reconnect, everything works fine.

What can I do to solve the problem?

My solution was to reformat the computer and install Windows 7 64-bit edition.
