Screen error black patch after reinstalling/updating VISTA on my desktop HP Paviill a6137c,.

I have a HP Pavilion a6137c desktop purchased in 2007 with Vista 32 bit OS.

My original factory hard drive failed [multiple power cuts in the short period of time] the error screen says "bad sectrors" well I could substitute these areas [somehow] and I continued to use the player for a few weeks/months before the "bad sector" error came again.

I bought and installed a WD Caviar Blue SATA 320 GB Hard drive model #WDBAAX3200ENC-NSPS.

I still have the old hard disk installed but not hung in the second Bay from the HD.

After you have installed the origianl software [I bought HP factory records a couple of weeks], Vista Home Premium 32 - bit, I ran Windows Update with its updates 106 or 107, he recommended.  After completing the update and restart, Windows does not load, I get a black screen and invites me to restore to a previous restore point.  Paragraph of error message basically says that he was a "'patch', causing the problelm, but I don't know which.»  I apologize for not sending you the error message I get, I had restored the computer before thinking to copy.  I'm under update again and if I get the error again, which I'm sure I'll [because it is the fifth or sixth time I've restored and re run upd8 er] I'll send over the error message if necessary.

Thank you very much for your help!

Ann Bailey

As of this minute, I'm re-running the updates and plan to run Microsoft FIX IT

Thank you for your offer to help, I don't have the error this time, assumes that the FIX WORKED program! Yay!

    Hi Cheryl,

My problem has been resolved, just wanted to share it here.

I created a folder with no query and set it to the default value.

Then I moved the FDF which was originally at the end of the header to a few fields left line. It is not at the end.

This way my problem has been resolved.

Hope this will help if someone else must face the same question.

  • After reinstall Window Vista 32 bit, I can't move the slider to increase the resolution of the screen, how do I solve this problem

My Dell Inspiron 530 sudenlly crashed, I could not start it. I called for the support of a group that I paid for. Technicians helped me start the PC, but they could not fix the screen resolution: in the display settings window, the cursor is on the left end of the bar, the low position and could not be moved. The technician finally asked me to save the folders files and reinstall Windows Vista. After the relocation, the screen resolution problem persisted. Technicians then reformat the HD, then reinstall Windows Vista again, the result was the same. We cannot change the resolution. Help, please.

  • Bad patch after automatic update: Windows will not start

I am running a 32 bit Windows Vista and my automatic updates recently installed "major updates", but there must be one which is mess up my computer. Fortunately, I was able to do a restore of the system on my computer right before when the updates are installed, my computer is working again and the error code that was spotted in the restoration of the system was that there was a bad patch. Updates were: KB2288613 (a security update for microsoft office 2003), KB2347290, KB975558 KB981322 KB2141007 (all updates for windows vista security) and KB905866 (update for windows mail junk e-mail filter).

I was wondering if anyone else has had a problem with these or any other patches automatically downloaded? I restored my computer so that it will continue to work for me, but I can't keep ignoring important updates for my computer. Any suggestions on how to solve this problem and to keep my computer don't step back after an update? Would be trying to download one at a time (then by restarting after each download) in order to remove the update is causing the problem to the best idea at this stage? Maybe that way I can just ignore than AN update...

  • Sequence of patches after reinstallation of Vista Home Premium.

I have an OEM copy of Vista Home Premium that doesn't have SP1 or SP2 on it (bought Vista before they came out).

I just did a reinstall of Vista Home Premium (formatted hard drive).

I started doing the update of Windows and got offered LOADS of updates, then after this I gave myself SP1. Then after that still more updates to update, then finally SP2. It took FOREVER.

How can I shorten this process?

Is this OK to put on SP1 (from CD) RIGHT AFTER the VISTA installed (before downloading updates), and then put on SP2 (from CD) after this (once again without any other updates)?

Or Vista does expect some fixes to install before the SP1 or SP2 installed?

  • Problem with SP1 after reinstall clean Vista

I did a "clean and reinstall" on Vista 32 bit Home Premium machine due to problems of registry after a "System Mechanic" install.  The reinstallation of Vista went well so I started to download and install all updates for the computer.   Everything downloaded and installed fine until I got to SP1 (KB 936330).  Windows Update tells me that the installation was successful, but when I click with the left button on computer then check properties that SP1 does not appear in the description "windows edition".  I installed the update several times and get the same results.  Windows updates always tells me to install the same update (SP1) and when I look through the history it States successfully 4 times.  When I look at control panel-programs-uninstall a program - and discovers a part of the update uninstall, update SP1 is not listed.   I missed something?  Help, please.

  • Sudden appearance of error STOP C000021A after automatic update of Windows

Everyone knows a sudden STOP errors after that update Microsoft has done for his actions in the background? I'm setting up a SL500 for a client who has crashed all of a sudden with a STOP C000021A error. This error number (and the minidump file) point about csrss.exe crashing. The machine is no longer usable in 'normal' mode but it does not start in "safe" mode A review of the microsoft update log file reports the accident happening right after that the update ran. Before I nuke XP and opt for a restore to factory (as well as reinstall/configuration) I would like to know if others have seen this happen recently.

In response to my own question here: I managed to do that work again. It turns out that the automatic update is more or less malware Microsoft's "Office Genuine Advantage". Remember, once again, why people accept this type of behavior of a business entity... No, not only to accept but reward in continuing to do business with them. Something in the water maybe?

  • Screen remains black/stop after having turned off to save energy.

I have this problem on two different Porteges with
    Windows 98 Second edition.

They are then handed achieved both and all drivers are
as noted on the internett. And windows 98 is
Standard CD (not the CD from Toshiba). Both have the latest version of the BIOS.

Everything works fine, it's the only
    problem.

In Control Panel-> display->... you can specify
settings/energy savings. I think I turn off screen
After 2 minutes and turn off hard drive 5 minutes.

It works very well. The screen goes black, then I
can relight it by moving the pointer ('mouse').

But if I leave it for a long time and get to him,
then the screen stays black. (This is the problem).

But everything still works fine! ... and
I can do a controlled stop by pressing ctrl-alt-del
ALT - s, while the screen is black.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Hello

Portege models do you have? Because as you have explained, you use the power management MS which isn't one that fits!

You can watch http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com - Driver Downloads If the Toshiba Power Saver is available for your units and W98!

It may be that old W98 Powermanagement has problems with the complex of the portege series material is available on the Toshiba site standby power!

  • Blue Screen error PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA & IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL after I found a redirect virus

The other day I noticed that I had a virus that was redirecting my searches on Google to scour.com. I used my anti-virus installed (PC-Cillin) and downloaded Malware Bytes removed the virus. Since then, my computer always gives me the blue screen of death once it starts. Startup of Windows and the programs that are supposed to start start to leave, but after a few minutes I STILL get the blue screen of death, and I'm getting various messages including IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (no driver is listed), I also gottene PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA; It seems to be a different problem each time. What is going on? I still have a virus or something?
I tried the system restore, does not solve the problem. When I try to change the registry through the command prompt in safe mode to copy the \RegBack\ file beforehand, I get a "sharing violation". How can I fix the registry through safe mode?

    Hello

To check again if the problem is caused by a Virus/Malware on the system, I suggest to refer to the link below and run the Windows Live OneCare safety scanner and check if the problem is caused by an Infection of Virus/Malware on the system

To run the scanner Windows Live OneCare refer to the link below

    http://OneCare.live.com/site/en-us/default.htm

The Blue Screen of Death occurs when Windows encounters a critical problem which it can't get out without stop to stop operations after posting the diagnosis of the problem in the form of the Blue error screen.

Follow the steps below to solve the problem with the blue screen of death.

    Method 1:

Try to access your computer in safe mode and follow the steps below. You can start safe mode and then try to repair the registry.

To start your system in safe mode follow the article below:

Start your computer in safe mode

    Note:

Serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, click on the number below to view the article in the Microsoft Knowledge Base:

How to back up and restore the registry in Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756

    Method2:

    Step 1:

Try to perform the clean boot in safe mode and check if the problem persists:

To perform the clean boot follow the article below:

    Clean boot

    Note:
After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as mentioned in step 7 in the above article.

    Step 2:

Also try to perform the material clean boot when you start return to normal mode. To perform the starting material in minimum mode follow the steps below:

You can try to perform a clean boot material and check if the problem is caused due to all the equipment connected to the computer.

To perform the material clean boot, follow the steps below:

    (a) disconnect all external devices.

    (b) start the system in safe mode.

    (c) go to Device Manager

Device that can be disabled to perform a clean boot material are

    ·         Sound card.

    ·         Network card.

    ·         USB devices and controller

    ·         CD\DVD.

    ·         Modems.

    ·         Ports (series and parallel)

After doing this, if you are able to Start in Normal Mode, try to activate the device one by one and find out which device is causing the problem. Try to install the latest driver for this device, or contact the vendor of hardware .

    Method3:

You can run the control and verification of the disc if it solves the problem:

To perform monitoring of disk check the steps outlined in the article below:

  • BlackBerry Z30 don't switch call to the speaker using the navigation. Screen went black accept after phone call.

I have this problem no need of me.

While driving and use any software of navigation, such as:

    1. built in maps

    2 Waze

    3 NavFree

If someone calls me, I can take the call. But immediately, the screen went black.

I can't switch the call to the speakerphone. After random seconds, to switch screen might look for a second glance, and then the entire screen turned black.

Although it is black screen, I can't do anything, including trying to drag up to close current app/call.

Maybe it's something to do with the Navigation periodly software disables screen timeout?

    Hello, Yes,.

Is this the same problem as described here:

    http://supportforums.BlackBerry.com/T5/BlackBerry-Z30/Z30-keeping-the-dial-pad-quot-lit-quot-when-in...

Discussion on how the screen turns black during a regular call, it is impossible, for example, to listen to a call and to have the keypad remains lit, so you can press the right numbers while dealing with an automated reception, was doing phone banking, or using any other system that relies on automated messages.

The problem came down to how some people take their phone (especially when trying to listen to the guests and press the right button at the same time).  The solution has been to hold the phone differently.  So my question would be whether the phone is blacking out because of the very special combination of things happening in your scenario, or is it blacking out because you're online and proximity sensor of the phone thinks you're holding it to your ear (and think that when you do this, you want to have blackened keypad).

    Hello Neelie

Without much explanation here, in my opinion, you can try to resolve this problem if you remove the package of added value of the system (Control Panel > programs and features), restart your computer and install the latest version available on the Toshiba support page.

You can find it under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.
