Screen faded T410

From a few days ago, the colors on my Lenovo T410 and the connected external monitor began to appear dimmed. It quickly became a big problem because I am a web designer and now do not have the ability to view accurate representations of my work.

The problem is most obvious when I wake the computer. For anywhere from half a second to three seconds, the image shows the exact colors, but then it moves to the State I described in which all colors appear dimmed.

I have confirmed that the problem is related to the computer (not the monitor) by testing my external monitor with another laptop. When I performed this test, the colors appeared on the external screen, as it should.

I bought this laptop there are a little less than 2 years, but because its one year warranty has expired I was deprived of assistance by telephone technical support from Lenovo. If anyone here can help me to troubleshoot and resolve this problem, I would be really grateful.

Updated for 64-bit Vista to Win7 Pro 64-bit for over a year

The computer was purchased in 2009

Recently, I noticed that the upper right and left of the screen seem to be fading/blur. It looks like a faded transparent white is David down the corners. At first, I thought it was my head on the origin of this light, but when I moved the computer out of the light appeasement was very apparent.

I do not think it is software or to make graphs. I updated the NVIDIA graphic card several times due to another problem with the screen blacking out when I play a DVD or downloaded movie - this problem is still not resolved. I think that the map should simply be replaced period.

Back at the screen, my inclination is that I have the dirt inside the screen, or the screen goes wrong? And Yes, I cleaned the screen with a soft cloth and a cleaner LCD... transparent white is inside not the outside of the screen. My questions:

Someone else met this kind of screen fade?

Is it possible to clean the inside of a PC screen like that?

Or is it the age? And if so can it be solved?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello jmiah1,

Looks like the screen is going bad for me. Usually if the screen is disconnected the screen will turn white. Given that it is just the corners this indicates to me that the region has turned on the screen. The only likely resolution is a replacement.

  • Bubble like spots on the screen LCD T410

Just noticed this a few minutes ago on my T410 (2516-CTO), there are three major tasks and three small spots on the centre-left of my screen. I tried to wipe the screen with a clean Microfiber cloth and a gentle jet of glasses cleaner on the cloth. All the dust was released, but the tasks remain. They appear only when I inspect the screen with a flashlight on dead. These tasks similar to white reflecting film-y areas, like the surface of the screen LCD is peeled off with very thin air bubbles. They seem to resemble defects under the surface - is my LCD delamination or anything else bad past?

Doesn't look like it, they think that his 'damage' I have to pay for. I've only had this T410 for a week.

Good news! After a long out of stock, the technician on-site, finally, came and succeeded him. Less than 15 minutes so I was looking at.

  • Satellite A505-S6980 - screen faded

The screen went discolored (pink blob) in the lower right corner on the toolbar in the date and time.

He began two months ago, when I'm on the battery on the computer.
After several hours it would go far. My belief is that it was the heat generated during charging the battery.

I do not charge when the battery is low and do not leave the charger on the battery for long periods of time.
Over time that discoloration became somewhat permanent, only high pass down the right side of the screen, sometimes in all of the right side of the computer.

I checked to make sure that I'm just responsible for the computer because I was worried that I was using a too powerful for the battery, but it is the suitable charger. I looked through the posts and talked with another user of my University and have seen/heard anything on this subject.

    Any help would be great.

    Hello

In my opinion the battery charging procedure has nothing to do with this issue
It of difficult to say what has happened with the screen, but it looks like a hardware problem
I think the laptop is covered by the warranty in this case, I recommend you contact a local ASP technician who could check the screen and perhaps that the screen must be replaced

    Good luck

  • Touch screen faded faded

I have a desktop HP 8600 pro jet and use Mac OSX 10.8.5.  Yesterday, I noticed that the touch screen of the printer is suddenly disappear so that I can barely read.  It still prints/scans very well.  In addition, the touch screen works very well.  I just can't read it easily.  I've also recently updated my OS.  What should I do?

    Hello

It is a hardware problem. I would suggest trying a hard reset with the printer and if it does not, try to call HP@8004746836 and see what options they replace or repair the printer.

    Hard Reset:

    Take out the toner cartridges.

Unplug the power cord from the printer and the wall

    Wait for 30 seconds

Plug the power cord into the printer and the wall (be sure that the printer is plugged into the wall and not a surge protector)

Replace the toners/cartridges in the printer

    Let me know the results

  • New version FF3.63 causes a screen faded with script running in the background. I understand that it may not be fully compatible with 64-bit. I was perfectly happy to 3.59 and want to downgrade, is this possible and how?

I would like to revert to the version 3.59. 3.63 is slow and buggy on my unit.

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

I installed the new version today

    User Agent

    Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 8.0; Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; Trident/4.0; SLCC2; .NET CLR 2.0.50727; .NET CLR 3.5.30729 .NET CLR 3.0.30729; Media Center PC 6.0)

You can get 3.5.9 here: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html

But 3.6.3 should work just fine. You have Add-ons installed, which may be the cause of the problem?

  • Satellite P10: clouds white and purple fading across the screen during startup

I had problems with my laptop PC-10 so I bought a new hard drive (Fujitsu 60 GB instead of 40 GB) standard and have it myself. I was working very well with it for a long time, until suddenly I have had the strangest problem that I've ever seen on a computer...

Sometimes, when you start the laptop, instead of the screen normal red "TOSHIBA" and the message to start Windows XP, the laptop displays simply little weird white and purple clouds fading across the screen, fading finally on a screen very dark, but not quite black.

I thought first it was a problem with the DVD player, like when he finally gave and started normally, the DVD drive has been disabled. However, I noticed in the BIOS, under "Advanced" the Infrared Port shows intermittently - it shows with the [Disabled] setting next to him, but will be then disappear from the list, then reappear again and then go again and so on.

Sometimes my computer will function normally, then completely shut (mouse and all) and will restart with the clouds!

I looked in the Windows Event Viewer for when the laptop has locked up and have seen anything to do with a problem with IRQS for the Infrared Port. I disabled the infrared port in Device Manager (I managed to activate in the BIOS by loading the standard BIOS settings) and rebooted, but it started upward with the clouds once again, so I have the feeling that the infrared port is the culprit - loose connection may be defective material because it is located close to the DVD player and HD player.

I was wondering if anyone has seen something like this before on any computer, and if they knew how to solve? It seems completely illogical that a defective IR port could change what is displayed on the screen on startup, unless of course there is something wrong with my HD boot sector?

    Any ideas?

    Thank you.

    Tom

    Hello

I've never seen like this problem before and I don't think that this issue has something to do with the HARD drive or the IrDA port.
As much as I know the IrDA port is not available on Satellite P10 - xxx

For me, this looks like a faulty screen or graphics card.
Have you tried to connect the external display? If this isn't the case, then try to do and check if it also appears on the external display.

I recommend also to recover the laptop with Toshiba Recovery CD and then check the functionality.
But if the malfunction appears so I would recommend contacting the Toshiba ASP for control from laptop

  • iPad Pro 12.9 "screen darker when compared to Pro 9.7" iPad and iPad 2 Air

Comparing the screens on the Apple Store, I noticed every 12.9 "Pros on display screens faded compared to the new 9.7" iPad 2 Air and my own iPhone Pros 6 Plus. I made your real was turned off and all the display settings are equal. I compared using the calendar application, because the difference was most obvious with a white background. Apple staff was unable to explain the difference in brightness, which has been seen on the new 9.7 "Pro, the IPad look older and my own phone. A staff member cited the 9.7 "Pro of new technology as the cause of the screen, but this does not explain why the Air 2 and my iPhone 6 were also brighter.

I want to check on a different Apple Store but have not had the chance to get a still. Given that I don't know people on the forums have several iPads, I was wondering if you could compare and see if there is a difference. The Pro of 12.9 "had a problem of yellowing after launch, but I don't think it's the same problem. I couldn't find any other mention of this problem online.

I took some photos while I was there. The Pro of 12.9 "has my thinking about it, but you can still see the faded screen. I couldn't get the Air iPad there because it was on another table. I really want to buy the biggest Pro, but not if there is a problem with the screen. This discoloration was observed on all the advantages they had on display.

Anyone with two iPads that lets compare the screens?

  • (Redirected) Latitude E5540 flickering screen turns white of greysih and turns off

I have a Latitiude E5540 refurbished which are recently out of warranty. While using it last night, my screen started flashing, the colors changed, the text seemed blurry and multicolored (almost like double vision) and the screen faded to white greyish and is now white. I turned it off, tried to reconnect, but the screen was still a grayish-white.  It was the first timme anything like this has happened.

To operate normally once again I had to unplug the power supply, remove the battery and press the power button to discharge the laptop. When I installed the battery and plugged to the power source, I could connect normally and use it without incident for a while but the same problem happened again and I have to go through the same process to make it work again.

Since yesterday, whenever I use it, the same problem occurs.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Black screen, white screen & reload software 507

This is my first post on a forum, so please, be gentle.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8530.  Several months earlier, during a daily use, the screen would go black all of a sudden.  A battery pull would solve this problem for a while.  Finally, it has become more common.  Symptoms have changed (it seems that if I put the phone down too quickly it would reset), the phone turn on, then immediately go to a white screen where everything was undetectable by my computer.  I contacted my service provider and they said the phone was toast and (surprisingly) gave me a free ready to use for the duration of my contract (all information transferred via an old backup, so nothing has been lost) after that my new phone work I left my curve is connected to my office.  Yesterday as I was leaving I watched again once the phone, and the screen was white and telling me to reload software 507.  I plugged my computer to start the process and to my surprise, the computer has detected all of a sudden the phone and successfully upgraded the software.  Everything was beautiful, I exceeded the password stage and he would just start to recharge my information when the screen faded empty again.  I always free loan phone, so it's not a big deal, but it's so annoying as to what could be the problem.  Now the computer can detect is more the phone again.

Thanks for reading my long post.  Any help that can be provided would be greatly appreciated!

Chance if you can do a battery pull and try

  • my computer screen laptop dv6000 darkens but can still see graphics barely

I have an older hp laptop which was awesome! It's HP Pavilion dv6000 Entertainment PC, and last week the screen been dark at startup. (not BLACK, just too dark to see much) It flickers light when I try to restart, then is back on the screen faded, dark. If it it restarts several times, it will ultimately be 'stick' on the spot. What is happening with it? Is there a solution? We have installed in Windows 7. Thank you very much for your help!

Your a old school lighting (non - LED) which consists of an inverter and CCFL tubes. Here is a link to the guide of maintenance & Service that has a breakdown of the illustrated part

Are the parties who may not be

    1) the whole of the screen. (research online. I saw them for @ $100.00)

    (2) the inverter of backlight (these fail more frequently than CCFL bulbs and display.) They cost about $15-25, 00.

I would replace the backlight inverter Board first.

If you want to do it yourself, then in every town or online, there are shops that it can do for you.

I don't answer immediately because we probably live in different time zones and I want to sleep at night. I live in Europe.

    See you soon,.

  • Recovery does not have documents in format Word on Mac

I have several old documents from MS Word on my new Macbook Pro. These documents date back in the early 1990s and were originally written on a Mac LC2, then transferred to a model of Power Computing, on which several docs were written, then transferred to a Powerbook, which many were written, and, now, everything on the MacBook Pro. Most of these documents simply appear as icons on my screen faded, and they cannot be open or double click at all. Others gave me an error message, but I don't have that now. Others open with just a set of small boxes, no text.

Can someone help me get these? Thank you.

Called iText Express which is available for free text editor could open your old documents.
