Screen keeps freezing especially when on the internet on the Satellite Pro series

The screen on my laptop keeps freezing, especially when I'm on the internet, no idea why this is and what I can do to stop it.

Do you mean that the screen freezes or the whole operating system?

Have you checked the operating system for some viruses and malware?

Have you tried to recover the operating system with the Toshiba restore CD delivered?

    All laptops that support the Port Replicator has a port extension at the bottom of the unit.

    my opinion: it s a proggie that puts the monitors if an external monitor has been fixed. The program may only goes by default to the external monitor (analog) when windows is started.

    Just guessing, but it (hopefully) sounds plausible. ;)

  • Satellite A100-225 keeps freezing and crashing with the new HARD drive

    Hi all

    I have a Satellite A100-225 with a 100 GB SATA Hitachi drive I int it that recently started showing bad sectors. Then I bought a Hitachi 320 GB SATA II drive to replace it. I tried the drive and it was recognized right away, so I didn't need to change the SATA speed. I ran the restore a disk installed newest. The problem I have is that the computer keeps freezing and crashing with the new drive. It takes a lot of time to load up when turned on and there is a noticeable to untermittant delay when you drag the cards around solo.

    I tried to run the Hitachi drive test and it comes back fine. I also tried to turn the SATA speed of the drive down from 300 to 150 via the firmware, and although I saw a slight improvement, it is still not right.

    I talked to Hitachi and they say that he could not be 100% compatible, so the problems. Someone at - it else sucessfully set up a replacement for this notebook drive and if so what make and model. Has anyone else had simular problems?

    Years ago, I've updated yet more former Satellite M70 with SATA HDD (270 GB if I m remembering well) and everything was fine.
    In my view upgrade with SATA HDD normal shouldn't be a problem. Do not SATA II because it will not work faster.

    I can't say for sure, but there must be a compatibility problem.

    Let's see if someone else had better luck with the upgrade of the disk on the Satellite A100.

    Have you checked this forum with advanced search option? Maybe you can find some old NET on upgrade the HDD on A100.

    Windows updates are listed as important and optional. Under optional drivers are sometimes written drivers for hardware components such as display or WLAN. Please don t install these updates. Install important updates only, and only use the drivers from Toshiba.

    Please send us the name of the full model (C660-xxx) and we can check what cards are on the inside.
    Try it please check the system again restore and turn on show restore points more. I hope that your restore point will be there. Do it, check the functionality and don t install any driver offered by Microsoft Windows update.

    I have a Satellite Pro (marked below as a PS210E-00C3G-EN and a P4 2000/256/30 G, 15XT, CDW, LW). I think it's a satellite Pro 2100, whatever.

    Problem I have is that when it comes to downloading the drivers, I can't find anything approaching this model of the selection process. I've searched the forums and there's not much on this machine otherwise than in this one, so I was hoping someone could help me identify this machine especially for driver downloads... Yes, guess who has reinstalled Windows XP without checking I had all the specific stuff Toshiba tucked away first?

    For now, I have a load of things works without drivers, and it is not at all optimal...
