Screen on Qosmio G30-153 froze playing a game

I got my new laptop for a little over 7 weeks now and it crashed. While playing a game (Need for speed most wanted) the frozen screen and the only way I could turn off the laptop was by disconnecting the battery.

After that, every time that you start the machine, the fan comes on but nothing happens. I took the laptop back to the officer and said that the motherboard must be replaced.

Apparently, the machine will work with an external monitor. Any reason, why this happened and this never occurred before on these models?

When you start the laptop have you tried to switch to the screen of laptop using FN + F5 key combination?

Use the Qosmio G30 for about 3 months and never noticed anything similar to play different games.

I should send it for service?

For now, I want to install dreamweaver 8 and install 9 hours now. That's half of the process. This is too MUCH fraustrating! Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi Vasilias

That s is amazing! You need 9 hours to install a simple web application!
It's very strange and I would first say that there must be a hardware malfunction

But did you install all the applications 3rd? What about the CPU usage? Open the Task Manager and check if there is no strange background on the laptop running process
Have you checked for some malicious software system?

You defragment the HARD disk? Please also start the 'chkdsk' for the HARD disk check

  • Qosmio G30-153: no drivers were found during the installation of Vista

Hi I tried to install Vista on my computer, but there are some bad things. I just insert the Vista CD and restart my machine.

Vista has started to install and I have reached the point where Vista should find the drivers to choose, but its tells me no drivers were found.

I took it to the Agency in Syria and they told me that this (Qosmio G30-153) machine comes with vista only.
If you have upgraded from XP applies to the Qosmio only.

I think there is another problem, but they could not solve it because I told them when I go to the configuration of the system, I found the drivers, but the names are different.
Driver (C) named Raid 0, but the names of the drivers D Jbod and I think they should be eponymous.

If they are different name, but they don know what I mean.
do you know how to change the name of the pilots and why they are different.

Here is no problem at all. Visit the Toshiba support under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com page

You will find RAID driver. Please download this driver and use it for the installation of the OS. Unmanned RAID HDD is not visible, but after the hard disks in RAID driver loading will be visible and you can continue the installation of the OS. RAID driver can be saved to USB.

If you have any other questions, please write again.

  • Bad output HDMI with Qosmio G30-153

The display of the output to the HDMI port on two sets of HDTV in the mine is not as good as DVI or ATI 1800XL 7800GTX. The output of the screen seems to be scanned, where of course the taskbar and another part of the screen does not appear and the color screen is also poor.
The resolution is correct, 1920 x 1080 and I use the latest Toshiba 8.3.2.8 display driver.
I am disappointed by this expansive toy, hoping to play HD-DVD material, but with these display poor, no luck.
I think that the driver is the question, but what can we do with Toshiba?

    Hello

Can you please tell us what games you have preinstalled and programs? Description of your problem is quite general and it is not possible to have any concrete indication that may be the problem. For some time, I have G30 and operating system runs very stable with standard applications such as Microsoft Office, Skype, Icq, MSN messenger and IE7 with LAN and WLAN connection.

Up to now, I really didn't notice any problem. Because of this, I really want to know what programs you're using.

  • Screen with Qosmio G30 problems?

    Hello
The screen of my laptop begins to have strange colors and then goes black when I turn on the laptop, G30-148 computer.

My University, IT supports diagnosed the problem as a problem of map chart/subsystem. I contact a provider authorized Toshiba, but unfortunately, they couldn't fix the problem the first time.
The second time it has been resolved temporarily as it occurs in less than a month and now I am unable to use my laptop :-( I hesitate to return my laptop to the authorized supplier. Any solution?

    Hello

I don't know how he solved the second time, but according to the description of your problem, there is certainly a bad operation of the equipment and for me the only solution is to repair and motherboard changes. Sorry, but I think you should contact ASP again.

  • Not possible to set the HDMI output as default screen on Qosmio G30

It is not possible to set the HDMI output as default screen! This works only with VGA output. There is no option in the BIOS. According to support, Toshiba will plan any action for this useful feature.

I use an external TFT with HDMI adapter DVI Cable and I want to have as default screen TFT. With VGA, it will work without problems.
    Any solution?

    Hi Nicolas

Very interesting question! In my view, HDMI port is to be used with the HD ready LCD TVs or plasma. Combination of connection HDMI and HD DVD movies, you can really have a HD on your TV picture quality.

As you know the port is a standard VGA port to connect external displays. The image quality is very good and, in my opinion, you should not use HDMI port for the same. Do you perhaps the best image quality?

    Hello

References to Vista also apply to Windows 7.

This is my generic how updates of appropriate driver:

This utility, it is easy see which versions are loaded:

-Free - DriverView utility displays the list of all device drivers currently loaded on your system.
For each driver in the list, additional useful information is displayed: load address of the driver,
Description, version, product name, company that created the driver and more.
    http://www.NirSoft.NET/utils/DriverView.html

For drivers, visit manufacturer of emergency system and of the manufacturer of the device that are the most common.
Control Panel - device - Graphics Manager - note the brand and complete model
your video card - double - tab of the driver - write version information. Now, click on update
Driver (this can do nothing as MS is far behind the certification of drivers) - then right-click.
Uninstall - REBOOT it will refresh the driver stack.

Repeat this for network - card (NIC), Wifi network, sound, mouse, and keyboard if 3rd party
with their own software and drivers and all other main drivers that you have.

Now in the system manufacturer (Dell, HP, Toshiba as examples) site (in a restaurant), peripheral
Site of the manufacturer (Realtek, Intel, Nvidia, ATI, for example) and get their latest versions. (Look for
BIOS, Chipset and software updates on the site of the manufacturer of the system here.)

Download - SAVE - go to where you put them - right click - RUN AD ADMIN - REBOOT after
    each installation.

Always check in the Device Manager - drivers tab to be sure the version you actually install
presents itself. This is because some restore drivers before the most recent is installed (sound card drivers
in particular that) so to install a driver - reboot - check that it is installed and repeat as
    necessary.

Repeat to the manufacturers - BTW in the DO NOT RUN THEIR SCANNER device - check
    manually by model.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

If you update the drivers manually, then it's a good idea to disable the facilities of driver under Windows

  • Qosmio G30 - 102 screen completely disappeared

I read a lot of messages about the green lines, white spot, and blue screens. However my laptop screen has taken a step beyond that and stopped working!

I have a Qosmio G30 102. I was playing a game (use high amounts of graphics) when suddenly the screen went. I restarted the computer, but it came with the different colors of the Rainbow (green lines, would change to a completely white screen). The problem was once windows starts to load than the screen turns off. I used the function keys to review the settings of the screen (if you want it to be double screen, connected to the LCD tv), but nothing would work.

I decided to restart the laptop, but it now came with windows not stopped correctly and gave me the options to start the computer and had pixels all messed up (some letters were missing), windows, put in place would not work after the reboot because the screen turns off.

So now, the laptop is just left with a blank screen. I can't install windows and my warranty is now sold out (ironically just 1 month ago: S)

    Any help would be appreciated!

    Hello

have you tried to plug the external monitor? If it still shows blue vertical lines, the reason is a failure of the graphics card. (You can also reinstall Windows to check the related issue of f it's Os). Otherwise, contact the after-sales service.
