  • Screen resolution reset after plugging in the tv

A month ago, I plugged my Dell Inspiron N7110 with Core i5, on TV using HDMI cables, the computer prompted me to change the screen resolution of 1600 x 900. I think the original was 1280 x 720. Now, he won't let not get back together with making my screen is really small and I have the flashing in menu boxes (I can hardly read, they Flash so fast) and my computer will not pages refresh, I have to do forced refreshes. I deleted the cache and still do, but the problem is getting worse. I use the Safari browser and microsoft security essentials. One had it wrong before or know what is causing all this trouble?

Unfortunately none of them worked. My driver is Intel HD family family, was not microsoft Basic. The second suggestion, even happened as when I do it in the menu screen resolution box, my screen is shrinking. It was before the connection to the TV and full screen on a lower resolution.

Thanks for all your suggestions H.A.V. Aravinda, we appreciate it.

  • Mavericks Guest OS resolution resets restart

I run a virtualized via VMWare Fusion Laboratory of automation.  This workshop helps QA test Mac software.  I have dozens of virtual machines running on a variety of hardware Mac using VMWare Fusion 6.0.2.  The problem I see is that virtual machines the Mavericks have their screen resolution reset to 1024 x 768 at each reboot and this is the only resolution available in the display of the system preferences panel.

Resembles the way I implemented virtual machines to:

    1. using the application VMWare Fusion to create a new virtual machine and install the operating system.

    2. install VMWare Tools on the guest.  Restart the virtual computer.

    3. configure the operating system prompted with my settings.  This always includes something above 1400 x 1050 affecting the resolution of the screen.  I have to do this by stretching the window of the application VMWare Fusion or by setting the resolution via system preferences.

4 stop the machine virtual and made a copy of it.  This copy is my default state.

In actual use after that virtual machines is run headless using vmrun with nogui argument.  For all versions of OS X VMs, the resolution remains the same the virtual machine is restarted.  For VMS Mavericks the resolution passes to 1024 x 768.

For all other operating systems multiple resolutions appear in the display of the system preferences panel.  For the Mavericks, only that a resolution appears in the options of the chipped.

I tried the steps in 1003 KB:

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?cmd=displayKC & docType = kc & externalId = 1003 & sliceId = 1 & docTypeID = DT_KB...

but that did not fix the problem.

I tried to turn on/off the 3d acceleration and the problem exists in both cases.  Changing the resolution by resizing the window while using VMWare Fusion app works very well, but this is not possible when running headless.

Telephone tech support suggested I report this issue to the community and see if he has all the answers here.  Thanks in advance.

  • Page of Yahoo mail that says 'there a screen resolution problem". A in case of problems with all stakeholders, even all the browsers. The question is Firefox!

I have the latest version of Yahoo mail. When I click on the link "mail" of my Yahoo homepage, he directs me to a page that reads, "There is a problem of screen resolution". In the body of this page, it explains how to fix the problem. BUT, I don't have a problem with the resolution - the screen resolution should be 1024 x 600 or greater and IT IS! This only happens with YOUR browser. I have Chrome and IE, neither of which is a problem. I worked with a representative of the yahoo mail support and he explains that it IS a problem with Firefox and for raise you awareness and fix the problem - I use a Vista operating system on a computer and Windows 7 on my other computer, which has the same problem, so we KNOW for sure, it's a Firefox issue.

I don't think that the effects of this question all those who use Firefox because I'm able to visit Yahoo Mail without any problems. I would say that to reset the zoom of the page on the page, this issue occurs on. You can do these steps go to view > Zoom > reset or press (Ctrl + 0 (zero).

  • NB200 - can't change screen resolution

Hi, I have a strange problem with a netbook NB200.

The screen resolution is set to 1024 x 768 with the lowest resolution to be together is 800 x 600 as a result no parameter displays correctly on the netbook screen and the Start button, taskbar, etc are missing.

The native resolution for this machine must be 1024 x 600 - however, it is not available in the list of troubleshooting steps that can be chosen.

    Here are the steps that have been taken so far;

    (1) to restore the machine to resolution of parameters - the parameters of origin of wiping machine - factory defaults to 1024 x 768
    (2) load the latest version of the BIOS just to see if the BIOS had an impact - don't think it would, but I tried anyway.
    (3) the adapter graphic to uninstall and reinstall the Toshiba europe site (intel 945 mobile (r) express chipset)
Graphic adapter installed okay more low resolution is 800 x 600 and 1024 x 600 option is not available.
    4) noted that the default monitor is still listed as "digital flat panel 1024 x 768".

At present, the only way to use it is with an external monitor.

For now it doesn't help as a netbook - someone has any ideas to try because I am running out of ideas with this one.

    Thanks for your help.

    Hi foxpc123,

All that you have done is correct and you have tried everything, but if the factory settings doesn't help reset and screen resolution is automatically 1024 x 768, again, he must a serious malfunction of equipment. I can imagine something with the graphics card itself is not okay and so the monitor properties can t be detected correctly.

You need to contact a service provider authorized in your country. Guys can check the equipment and replace it. I put t know how old is your notebook and if it s under warranty, but the warranty repair material is free. This means that technicians can fix that for free, but if not, you will have to pay for the repair.

So the easiest way is you contact with the guys and talk to them. I m that you can clarify this with the technicians. ;)

  • E540 + Dock among Pro - max of the external screen resolution is 1280 x 1024

    Hello

This issue could be discussed and resolved already somewhere else, but I couldn't find a match for my situation:

I recently bought the ThinkPad E540 with Pro among docking station, in which I have connected my external LG Flatron IPS236 monitor. LG max resolution is Full HD 1920 x 1080, but for some reason any the max of my external screen resolution is only 1280 x 1024. The screen is connected to the station Pro among DVI port. I have two day of the graphic card drivers and the LG monitor drivers and started the system. I also tried using 75 hertz and framerate of 60 Hz, but without any help.

    What should I try next?

HA, I finally got. Research on the subject long enough, revealed the cold made that updated Lenovo systems do not provide you with the last set of drivers (graphics card). On the contrary, it prevents actually update you the drivers downloaded from the provider (Intel) site. * beep *.

So was the solution for this:

-Remove the display card drivers (Device Manager / display adapter / preferences / adapter / uninstall)

-The latest drivers downloaded from the web site of the hardware vendor intall

    BUT PLEASE NOTE:

Just after I had uninstalled the original display card drivers both the external display and the display of the desktop became black. I had to reset my computer and start Windows Mode safe, where I was able to install the new drivers.

Now my question for Lenovo is: * beep *.

Why is - that you can not simply to allow installation of the latest drivers from map display through your own update system OR simply give users the ability to update the original adater than newer display drivers.

  • Display HP 500 MT b screen resolution

Display resolution of the screen does not stay at zoom 150 more. It keeps coming back to a small font size 100 zoom. I've already updated the drivers.

    I have tried these things.

How can I get my screen resolution to stay in a 150 police? It keeps zooming to 100 whenever I Browse. I downloaded the update video drivers (who doesn't), I tried Panel & alt + v I have Windows 7 Professional on a HP 500 b Mt. thanks.

It will be used by default once you navigate away from the page that you put the zoom on.

    1. In Internet Explorer, click on Tools and then click Internet Options.
    2. On the general tab, click accessibility.
    3. Select Ignore colors specified on Web pages, ignore styles specified on Web pages policeand checkboxes ignore sizes police specified on Web pages and then click OK twice.

See step 2:  Customize the police, the size or color of any element of Windows

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310543

And, finally, this involves editing the registry.  Don't forget Windows registry backup before making changes:

    Back up the registry

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/back-up-the-registry

Open Regedit and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER Explorer\Zoom.

In the right pane is a list for ZoomFactor.

Double-click it and click on the button next to Decimal.

Change the value of 100000 to 150000, click OK and exit Regedit.

Now whenever you open IE, it should be zoomed about 150%. This will also zoom all new tabs open.

  • Windows will not update the screen resolution and the color depth

Out of the blue today, my Windows XP installation had its color depth and screen resolution back to the lowest setting and whenever I try to update it refuses to put up-to-date.

I even try to restart my computer and a bubble appears downstairs offering reset the color depth and resolution to my automatically.  When I click, it appears as if he's trying to return to normal, but again once nothing happens - the colors and the screen resolution is still at the lowest setting.

Can any ideas on how I fix?

    Hello

Here are some things to try to fix it.

    Change the screen resolution.

"How the resolution screen on Windows XP"

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/Videocards/HT/screenres.htm

You can also right-click on an empty desktop > properties > settings > it the slider bar allows you to increase the resolution > Apply > OK > agree in the next window, etc.

If that fixed it, have damaged you graphic drivers.

Access the site on your computer or the manufacturer of the graphics card > look for a driver download Section > search for your model number and operating system > get graphics / video / Chipset Drivers (depending on how it is formulated) > download and install.

    Change the screen resolution.

You can also try a system restore before all these problems started:

    See you soon.

You just do a new installation of a Windows CD?

If you have, you will need to install all the drivers concerned material, including graphics drivers.

Click on start, run, then type devmgmt.msc and press ENTER. In Device Manager there devices not identified or marked as having a problem (marked with!)?

  • Change the screen resolution [was: Jean AnnVG]

When you use e-mail, often the largest jumps screen resolution. It seems out of my control, although I must have hit something. Once it is so big, it will not go back and then it applies to everything I opened.  I've tried Control Panel, screen resolution, and the setting is always the recommended position. It is not different from the previous. Also, I tried to click on a corner to get the arrow and resize. It works no more. There is no pack troubleshooting for the size of the display on my computer. Help!

Thanks JW Stuart. Unfortunately, they did not result in all of the available downloads. However by clicking on tools at the top right icon, I learned finally that if I hit reset control, the resolution would go back to 100%. I tried this and it worked. Thanks again!

True color is actually 24-bit.  32-bit is True Color + Alpha channel.

Understand the brand and model of the video card (as a processor nVidia or AMD/ATI - but which model) then get the latest video card driver and install it.

  • Screen resolution signal with Dell E7450 processor and controller. Help!

    Hi All-

We have some Captivate users who have just received of new computers, touchscreen Dell E7450 processor and controller with WIN8.1 installed.

We are current users of Captivate 8.

The issue we encountered is that when attempting to capture using our preferences, screens change resolutions on us.

    Here is what happens...

    1. Changes to the user to screen resolution 1024 x 768 (applys and accepts the change)
    2. Selects to monitor 1, full-screen capture
    3. To start recording; registration ends

When you look at capturing what we see is that the captured images do not show that 1024 x 768. There are large black borders on one or two sides, and the program that we are captures show left or right raised in a corner.

When we check the properties, this also shows that the captured resolution isn't what we put on the screen (and still shows). It shows, he changed to 1280 x 960.

Has anyone else had an experience like that, and if so, how have you solved this.

We have tried several options, including moving at different resolutions, changing the screen capture to capture the application (which shows the current window too small to see the app), so the addition of an external monitor to see if a capture would work to form it. Nothing seems to work that we can think.

Any thoughts or resolutions to try would be appreciated that we must make our developers back from work.

    Thanks in advance!

We managed to find a solution to this problem thanks to Rick Stone...

The PPP should be set to 100%

apparently the default dpi has been set at 150% if once we have reset all worked as expected.

  • Flash CS4 ActionScript window larger than my screen resolution!

I launched Adobe Flash CS 4 and the ActionScript window. Then BAM! height of the window of the actionScript takes my entire screen (please see screenshot). Anyone know how I can put across this window?

My screen resolution is maxed out (1680 by 1050), not a small resolution I guess. I tried to move my taskbar to windows on the side and still can not move my cursor so that I can reduce the width.

    Thank you

The best solution is to set up a workspace. I have the same problem all the time and not only with Board actions, but with the library, exit, etc. Just ask panels how you like, then I think that its the window in the menu item, it should be a work space and a new. Then, if your screen gets messy you can 'reset the space work' and he's going right just as you wish.

Also, if you don't have a game already, you can apply just one of default workspaces and must be resized properly things for you.

I have no why they do not resize from the top to the left, its stupid...
