Screen went black with 'Input not supported' circulate on the screen.

I have a Compaq Presario SR2180NX computer with a monitor, HP W19b. Lately the screen fonts/resolution move on their own to a much larger size. I went in the resolution to change it several times. Now, when this, my screen went black and a box with 'ATTENTION' entry not taken in charge"is floating around the screen. I rebooted, it unplugged and restarted but I can't display to show anything else. Suggestion? Comments except buy a new update of thing? Thank you very much.

Start the pc in safe mode and try to change the resolution.
Then update the graphics driver.

  • 'Input not supported' with Acer AL2216W monitor

I use Windows Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2 in a system with an Intel D946GZIS motherboard and an ACER AL2216W LCD display panel. This system has worked well for over a year, but recently in a battle of two months with a problem of code 10, the screen would occasionally drain and display "Input not supported" in a small floating window. As a first step, start with F8 would allow the system to boot in a 640 x 480 window which would quickly find its native resolution of 1680 x 1050. But now it starts directly from the screen to 640 x 480 to the State banned in normal mode, make possible adjustments to display.

I can still use this display Mode without failure, but find that Safe Mode display adjustments do not affect the display in normal mode. In addition, a panel of HDTV used as a monitor instead of the Acer works wonderfully in normal mode in 1920 x 1080, but display settings to a lower resolution made with it do not persist when Acer Board is restored. Finally, my system is no longer recognizes the Acer AL2216W, but use a "default monitor.instead." And I can not install the Acer in the Mode panel without failure!

You can try to uninstall your display driver in Device Manager, then reboot. Check if the monitor is listed under Device Manager. Your monitor should be below or try to reinstall the driver using the procedure on the link in my first answer.

You can then go to the support site for your computer manufacturer and download the latest display driver specific to your operating system. Look for instructions on how to uninstall previous drivers and install the latest driver.

  • How to change the resolution of the screen when the "input not supported" message after reboot

    I need to change the display resolution to 1600 x 1024 after I changed my 1900 x 1200.
    the problem is,
the "input not supported" message when I reboot the PC and does not allow me to do anything.
He presents himself before the logon prompt.
I restarted to fail safe with the command line with the id of the administrator and was able to change the resolution, but
He returns to the State ("input not supported" and no prompt connection) after I restart the PC

    Mark,
    Thank you for your help,
    I tried in vain,
I just used another monitor with a higher resolution, restore the previous resolution and swap the monitor again.

  • IT KEEPS SAYING ON MY SCREEN MAIN INPUT NOT SUPPORT HOW CAN I GO DOWN THAT

INPUT NOT SUPPORTED IS FLOATING AROUND ON THE MAIN SCREEN WHY AND HOW I GET THIS OFF

This means that what he says, the video input in your monitor settings do not match those that it can display.  You need to start your computer in Mode safe mode to reset the display settings (resolution, color, rate refresh, etc.) to those that your monitor supports.  Otherwise it may be that your computer has failed.  Try to borrow another monitor from a friend and connect your monitor on a computer friend and which should help limit.

INPUT NOT SUPPORTED IS FLOATING AROUND ON THE MAIN SCREEN WHY AND HOW I GET THIS OFF

  • "Input not supported".

    Hi all...

I received recently a 19 "LCD Acer monitor #AL - 1916W, as a gift to replace the burned out monitor that came with my HP Pavilion. I had no problem with this monitor for about a month before this weekend. After you start the computer, the screen went black and shows a floating dialog, that said: 'input not supported '. I was forced to go in safe mode and reset the resolution to VÅGÅ to return to Windows. After reducing the 'display property settings' resolution to 1600 X 900 setting, this seemed to solve the problem a bit. However, Acer documentation indicates that the optimal resolution for this monitor is 1440 X 900, the dose of slider does not offer this resolution and resolution of 1600 X 900, I use now shows vertical-intermittent-aging in the structure of the police throughout the system. If I drop to the next setting, which is weaker, then 1600 X 900 I get stretched more grizzled graphics with fonts. If I go on it, I get a black screen. In my opinion, the resolution, I am forced to use now, it's that an incorrect ratio for this monitor because in addition to the question of the police of the Office is a bit pinched vertically looking.

I wonder what caused this change in the first place.  I delete some temporary files using "CCcleaner" but nothing in the registry.

Can someone tell me how I can get 1440 X 900 resolution?  An input or advice would be greatly appreciated.

The solution is to add a video card.  The bad news is that your PC does PCI - e or AGP. A PCI video card is all that you will be able to upgrade to. Here a link to a very large selection. Don't expect dazzling performance of a gaming PC. It's not going to happen

Your card mother ASUS LRTP - LA has integrated with up to 64 MB allocated video. Is not enough memory and you can't possibly increase shared much memory either.

  • The display shows "Input not supported".

I went to the account on my computer and everything on the screen was really big. So I went to change the resolution and clicked OK. Then the screen went black and it says "input not supported" and nothing happened so I turned off the computer and turned it back and then he always says "input not supported". Now, I am on safe mode, and it works fine. I do not know how to solve this problem and would appreciate help!
    Thank you
    Tara

You changed the resolution to a setting that your monitor is unable to cope with. You should first try a loading in the "last known good configuration" and if it does not, then you should do a safe mode system restore back before you changed the resolution settings. MCDST

  • X223W - VGA does not? (input not supported)

Or maybe that I don't do something good?  I'm just trying to plug my 360 via VGA.  I have my PC connected via DVI.  When the two are connected, I use the OSD to access the plug insertion icon.  I have 3 options here.  Analog, digital and DDC/CI.  Digital is highlighted that I assume average DVI is connected.  If I turn it on to analog the screen goes black and says "input not supported".  If I unplug my DVI cable and then just plug the VGA cable I always get "input not supported".

Any help would be appreciated it drives me crazy.

For reference, I used this same 360 and VGA cable on another monitor and it works fine.

It seems that sent by the 360 resolution or refresh rate is not supported by the monitor.

  • Bit Trip Beat game error: input not supported

    Original title: input not supported

What came was a floating message saying "input not supported", then so about 2 hours ago I double clicked on the game "Bit Trip Beat." so I thought well ill just alt tab and change the resolution and others, but I could not alt tab... I could hear my msn flashes... I could hear trip beat bit sounds in the game, everything except the screen worked...

so I restarted my comp in safe mode with network connections so I could google a few answers but nothing helped me to this day...
things I've tried are, restart in safe mode, and then change the resolution to something, I know that it can handle (did not work)... by clicking on "last known good configuration" (did not work)... ive tried rebooting with command prompt and typing a few commands that I found from google that is supposed to restore the resolution that doesn't work anymore , I also chose another option in windows boot manager "enable video low resolution (640 x 480), which also did not work."
Ive kept googling and nothing seems to work, I'm running a windows OS vista and I'm not sure of my monitor acer... model someone at - he a clue whats up?
What, in my view, that has happened, is that the game Bit Trip Beat made the default resolution of my something computers it can not handle... that is what happened?... because when I started, I had to force shutdown my computer and restart from there. any help would be appreciated

    Hello

I suggest you to try Method 2 from the previous post and adjust graphics hardware acceleration. If it does not resolve the problem, then try to uninstall the graphics drivers and reinstall it.

  • Operation not supported. Check the log of the applications for more details.

It is my second day of learning ColdFusion. I am able to view the .cfm pages. However, when I tried to browse/load the .cfc file, I kept getting this error.

Operation not supported. Check the log of the applications for more details.

    Here's my simple tests codes.

    < cfproperty hint = "First CFC" >

    < cffunction name = returntype 'getValue' = 'Chain' access 'public' = >

    < cfreturn "Hellow World" >

    < / cffunction >

    < / cfproperty >

Where is the "application log" so I can check for more details?

You should not really 'Browse' for SWC files, in general.  But if you do, then you might want to give the function an output attribute = "Yes".

The newspapers are easily read in the CFAdmin (go debugging & logging on the left navigation, then choose "Log Files" under this and click on "application.log" in the list of newspapers).

Alternatively, you can also use Windows Explorer (or what file viewer your use OS) and navigate to {cfDirectory} cfusion\logs, find the file "application.log" and open it.
