For some reason, not all the time, its 'images' Screensaver freezes and I have to hit ctrl-alt-del to reactivate the use of the computer. I noticed that when I make a new start, I get a message saying explorer.exe is running, but no programs are running. When I chose to turn it back on, restarting solves the problem... temporarily? until that (I don't know when) this 'explorer.exe' Decides to run again in the background? Advice?

I get this message only on a few extensions I'm trying to install. Others install fine. Other times I get a message saying that there was an internal error and that the extension will not be installed, even if the extension is for Dreamweaver CS4, which is what I use. I recommend you to uninstall Avast! & Comodo temporarily from Add / Remove Programs. Later, check to see if the problem persists.
To uninstall Avast!, you can use utility aswClear to uninstall Avast!.

I am running Vista on a PC that blocking costs one time office, which is released easily using Ctrl alt delete, but often then freezes when changing windows or starting an application like FireFox, or get into a game, all can be released easily using Ctrl alt del which shows me that the problem is not a minor.
