  I was delighted to see I can finally update my Bold 9700 to OS6 and did both.

  Unfortunately, I discovered all the preset alarm and original settings notification sounds are gone now, and most of them have been replaced by rather lame. Is it possible to retrieve or download the old sounds OS5 Bold 9700 from an official source (!)?

  I really wouldn't be forced to adapt to the new sounds and alarms.

  You can get all the ringtones OS5 back by going to the following link on your phone: mobile.blackberry.com

  Scroll down the page until you get to the section "What's new", click on ringtones OS5 OS6 for download all previous ringtones.

• Profile of blackBerry Smartphones Sound changes when loading or connected to the computer

  I immediately noticed on my BB Curve when it is plugged into the charger or hooked up to my computer, which changes the sound profile. It's frustrating because I don't know what is happening because this isn't my normal sound profile.

  Is this a bug? If anyone else has noticed this?

  Is there a setting somewhere that I missed that causes this happens on my phone? It's my third BB and the first time it happened to me.

  I was going to suggest to try first, maybe they have an option to fix it properly but which could stop him doing what's done

  My sound profile management is stuck in normal & I can't change to vibrate, aloud, silently, or other options on this page. I turned off my phone completely out of battery and released, & still nothing. I spend a lot of time in places where you are not supposed to have sound on, I need at least vibrate.

  I just want to clarify that your phone is powered when you remove your battery.  Your description sounds like you are turning off your phone before removing the battery, which will do nothing to improve your situation.

  I have my set storm to ring strong and it has an icon with the loud sound on the home page.  Anyway is taking this icon on the home page?

  While this answer is not really a big part of the solution, the answer is at the moment no, or at least not that I know (and I explored the phone long enough at this point).

  I have a feeling that future themes will give more flexibility with this, but until the new storm themes are created, there is no much we can do about it at this time.

• My phone (Pearl 8130) blackBerry smartphones sounds when my phone is electronic control

  or if I'm on the internet. Is far from having an incoming call on ride these features? I don't want people getting my voicemail in an emergency. Also, it does not show that I missed a call whent that its happening.

  US Cellular is my carrier and what I discovered that the more cell phone companies have only a 'line' and since during a brief moment when it is check e-mail person can call you. Would be nice if it would show that you had a missed call. What I've done is cut my audit of the data and only turn it on to check my email or surf the web address manually. I hope they airs in a substitute so that you had a choice of which had priority.

  I just got my BB a week ago and love it. A question I have is, I'm changing my picture on the main screen. I want that image that is in the theme file that looks like a storm. Is it possible to get this image? I tried almost everything and can't find it if it's on the phone. Thanks for any help you can give.

  Here's what I did...

  Save the photo below on your storm and then on the home screen, click the bb, options, change the paper painted. Select the photo.

  I was not able to successfully do a screen capture on my BB Bold 9700. An image is saved, but it's always white/white.

  I used two apps, but both came to the same result: QuickLaunch and he Capture.

  I find it weird that both apps to do this, so I wonder if there is something else on my phone which is the source of the problem.

• 9650 blackBerry smartphones began to play the sounds of start/stop

  My phone has decided to start playing the sound at startup, shutdown and when I plug in my headphones.  It will do in silence and all alerts off profile as well.  No idea how I can get it to stop?

  It seems that you have sound enabled on your BlackBerry® smartphone event.  To disable this feature, go to Options > Advanced Options > accessibility and change sounds event at no.

  It is possible. But if you stay on BES, you cannot remove the it policy... you have to work with your BES admins to solve the problem.

  If you are not on BES, you must first check if you have a latent policy on board:

  If you have one, then this is the only method to remove:

  Beware you warnings... it's completely destructive to everything you have on your device now, then you must know how to recover from that after the withdrawal of the policy. If you choose to use the backup/restore as your method of recovery, so make sure you do selective and not wholesale... If you restore databases who say company policy or something similar, then you just put it on your device policy, and be right back where you started.

  I just bought a new BB 9800 and want to install app etc. of the Chinese language on the phone

  But when I go to the section of the Desktop Software Applications, it shows all the application on my phone

  Here is the screenshot

  Don't know why, it does show that 2 additional applications.

  It works fine when I use my old 9700. Maybe I need to do some settings on the phone?

  Hello and welcome to the community!

  You must uninstall all packages of BB device software from your PC. Then, install the exact OS that this BB is running on your PC:

  • KB23393 How to check the model number and the version of the BlackBerry device software on a BlackBerry smartphone

  If this OS package comes from one carrier other carrier for which your BB was built, then remove, on your PC, all copies of the SELLER. XML... There will be at least one and maybe 2, and they will be located in the same way or to (it changes based on your version of Windows) these files:

  • C:\Program Files (x 86) \Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader
  • C:\Users\(your Windows username) \AppData\Roaming\Research In Motion\BlackBerry\Loader XML

  Then, when you run the Desktop software then connect this BB, appropriate things should appear in the AppLoader screen for her (note that, if you connect that to other BB currently displayed correctly, it does display properly since the Desktop software is substituted by the installed PC, the package of BB OS).
