  I am trying to make measurements of waveform of an oscilloscope Tektronix 1052 B using LabVIEW. My program is intended to be run for hours at a time, and it works perfectly as expected for the first few hours. However, I noticed that after a few hours, there are apparently random of chances that a VISA to read or write the block function will produce the error - 1073807339. After that happens once, all read or write functions also produce this same error for a while. This happens even using subVIs new driver provided by OR (http://sine.ni.com/apps/utf8/niid_web_display.download_page?p_id_guid=047216EC20B66FABE0440003BA7CCD... Meanwhile if I stop the program, I can still bring up the oscilloscope in MAX and read and write commands him. The error seems to occur within a VI. I know that this is not a matter of actual timeout because I tried increasing the timeout of 30 seconds, but the error always occurs immediately as soon as the function of reading or writing block is called.

  I would like to know why this is happening and what can be done to remedy this. The Subvi in question is provided. This VI is called at various points in the program do acquire a waveform. The inititialize and narrow subVIs are called outside the Subvi.

  I use scope Agilent MSO6104A that is connected via Gbspecifications FOR.

  I would like to control the scope by following the steps in TestStand IVI (TestStand 4.2).

  I have downloaded the driver 'IVI - COM, IVI - C Version for 5000, 6000, 7000, 546xx 1.3.20.0 series Oscilloscopes' of the Agilent site and installed.

  Agilent IO executable is installed as well.

  The logical name of the instrument is created in MAX.

  Then, I tried to communicate with the scope by TestStand IVI markets.

  I copied the scope of the steps of the sequence of the example.

  IVI step with the 'Init' operation tools works very well.

  But the IVI measures fail.

  For example, 'Configure 1 channel' fails with the following runtime error:

If and only if I do not use MMEMEL function after reading binary data under vi I screenshot, but not the current one. And if I use the function MMEMEL then I get blank screen capture. And on the screen of the spectrum I always get message that INTERRUPTED the query and error output, I get attention. I don't know what to do these things happened... I'll be very happy if someone help me with this...

  I'm the Agilent MSO7000 series oscilloscope waveform capture. I created waveformdata for one oscilloscope channel and trying to place cursors using the node property of waveform data slider and I see that he is preparing in the wrong position, as shown in the pictures below. I would like to know what is the reason behind all this.

  Looks like the x axis offset is not applied correctly. If you explicitly set x 0, things look better. I'll study a little more...

• LabVIEW control Interface 54645d, please help!

  Hi, I can't get the two signals of track or to at least get channel 2 on my labview interface signal, I get two signal on the physical oscilloscope traces and when I try and run the labview interface it only shows channel 1. I was able to save data in an excel to CSV file and get a signal (channel 1), but now I am trying to get a second signal or if not possible, to achieve at least a signal of channel 2 on another window, please help, spent time searching for solution, but came to no solution and don't know how I can get this signal displayed. If anyone knows how I can get this works or if they can test on a physical oscilloscope to meet, I would really appreciate it. Please I am again asking for help. Thank you.

  Hi John,.

  Since you are using a scope and an IVI driver, you will not be able to use the reading VI waveform to acquire two signals. However, you can use the initiate and extract the screws to acquire the signals of the two channels. You will first use the VI launch referring to both channels, and then, you follow this command with the Fetch VI for each channel individually. This article in the knowledge base I linked below gives a more thorough description of the reason why you cannot use the VI of waveform of reading for both channels:

  I don't know if it's important, but the 'PSA Screen Capture via GPIB1' VI you downloaded is looking for the Subvi "VISA Read block of binary data", but you have downloaded "VISA read binary block given to file1. What is the difference?

  The reason of the error of REQUEST INTERRUPTED, is you issue one * OPC? command, but never read the answer. This command causes the parser to return a 1 after the command is completed. You never read it. Thus, the Analyzer complains, as it should.

  Recently, we bought an Agilent MSOX - 3014 (2000-3000 series) A oscilloscope.

  PROBLEM: Does not WORK with LabVIEW.

  DESCRIPTION: The scope has been connected via USB to a PC computer and has been successfully detected by the system and LabVIEW and installed in the system. OR MAX says that the device is connected and working properly but it doesn't.
  After you run a sample VI (acquire waveform) comes with plug-ins (project style) driver, the scope is set back to the factory setting and after a while, the connection is cut and there is no effect (no waveform on the screen). After this very simple procedure, the scope is not responsible for the material side (no response to buttons, etc.). The complete communication history was captured with NI IO-TRACE and I attach the saved file.

  Tested system configurations

  I struggled to update my graphics driver. I have a laptop HP Pavilion dv4t 1600 CTO. My operating system is Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. My device driver is a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family, and the driver version is 8.15.10.1883 08/27/2009. I tried to install the latest in Intel which is 15.17.19.64.2869. However, when you try to update the drivers, I get an error message:

  "The driver being installed is not vaildated for this computer. You can get the correct driver from the manufacturer, cmputer. Implementation will leave. »

  Which leads me to the HP site were I try to find an appropriate update. However, when you use the update of HP or the manual search, I end up with the same type of driver for the chipset graphics and sound. My problem is: I don't know that one must be updated.

  I play world of Warcraft, and I get the message "your device driver is out of date. This could mean one of them, if using the Intel drivers update utility, none of my pilots appeared. And everytime I try to update via HP, it seems that nothing has changed. I'll try to provide as much detail as possible and we hope to hear back soon on my problem. Attached are some screenshots of the dxdiag window.

  I am trying to acquire a screenshot of an oscilloscope Tektronix MSO4104B using LabVIEW. I am currently able to collect data from the device and have a waveform displayed on my front of VI. However, for various reasons, our preference is to capture the actual screen shot of the scope.

  I have reviewed the reference for programmers for this camera and have done countless searches on Google for an answer, but have not been able to find a solution. It seems that a few people were able to reach on OTHER Tek scopes by sending a hard copy through the port of communication (GPIB, USB, Ethernet, etc.), but according to the reference of programmers for this particular device, it seems that he will send a paper copy of an installed printer, rather than simply as a stream of data to the port which can be read using VISA controls.

  The other solution I've seen is to record the screen turned to a flash drive, and then copy the file via the port to the PC. However, none of these solutions seems to be available on this device... it's one of the more advanced scopes makes Tek... I can't believe it's so hard! Help, please!

  I think the question is how I inputs analog and STILL plugged, I'm not sure that this is where I would really like some help or any type of assistance. Once I get this set up right, I'll be able to take measures for the frequency, load DC, P - P Ripple voltage ripple and then move to a full-wave rectified circuit. I just started a course and received the myDAQ.

  Henrik hit it on the head.  The myDAQ can, at most, out 2mA with analog output.  So, with a 2.2kOhm charge, which puts you in 4.4V without the diode.  The led will also require an amount of current.  According to my estimates, subject of 1mA (your pic is ~2.5V, divide by the 2.2kOhm to get ~ 1mA).  You will see only that on the positive side of the sine wave as the diode blocks all the negative side.

  The lesson here is to make sure that your outputs have enough power to do what you want.  You can go to get a simple op-amp from digikey and use a follower of tension for editing the current upward.  You will probably need another power supply or two (+ 12V and - 12V) to power op-amp.

• MAX does not allow me to rename the tektronix oscilloscope

  Hi, I'm trying to set up my TDS 2014 C Tektronix oscilloscope, but I have a few questions:

  (1) I can't rename the Max machine (I have installed TekVisa).  Here is what I get (see the file attached jpg).  So, what happens here?

  (2) my scope is connected via USB and MAX sees, but all examples are for serial communication and I see no VI to the USB, but when you download the instrument driver, it said USB-compatible.  What should I do to get the examples running for USB?

  First of all, there is no reason Tek-visa application must be installed. You just need to NI-VISA, especially if you plan on using LabVIEW, secondly, how weak is slow? Seconds, minutes? What command do you send to MAX? Third, your scope is a USBTMC device and is listed as such. There is no specific to USB example since one is not necessary. The same code works for the GPIB, series, or USB. Ignore you the control of parameters series.

  I worked with LabVIEW 2011 to develop a program to drive a motor via the VISA series block. I've updated since for 2012, and I had problems to get the LabVIEW program to reward the engine. I have a 3rd third-party program installed that I can use to send signals of the motor base, so I know all drivers are installed correctly and there is no communication error between the engine and the computer controller.

  Anyone had this problem before? My suspicion is that there may be a compatibility problem with communication between the versions of labview 2011 and 2012 series.

  Thanks for the screenshot. At first glance, it doesn't look like something fishy is going on. That being said, let me know when you run the example of shipping if you are able to see the available COM ports.

  Another thing to check is to bring visa installed on the new machine. Under the record of National Instruments, you can check in your Start menu. If it isn't there, you can download it here http://search.ni.com/nisearch/app/main/p/bot/no/ap/tech/lang/en/pg/1/sn/catnav: of, n8:3.1637, ssnav:su... . Also you can check and see if the COM ports appear in measurement and Automation Explorer? Let me know if one of these suggestions solves your problem, otherwise we will continue troubleshooting.
