Scroll bar on the Windows Photo Viewer

How you activate/display the scroll bar on the Windows Photo Viewer?  I use two Thinkpad T400, one with Vista and the other is 7.  On the Vista machine, when I open a large photo, the scroll bar appears so I can go up or down quickly.  7, this scroll bar disappeared.

Y at - it a patch that I can apply to get it back?  It seems that it is not in the option or settings...  It's REALLY DOULOUREUX because I have to deal with large images.  And I will return to the Vista even though I hate so much.

Help, please!

Hi Omoikane-kun,

This is normal, instead of the scroll bar, you can left click and use the symbol of the hand to scroll up and down to view the full image or adapt to the screen.

  • "Fix" mode in the windows photo viewer 7

Having had only windows 7 during about 2 months now, I used the windows photo viewer to make minor changes on my photos. Red eyes, cropping etc. black and white. This has been achieved by clicking on the word "Fix" on the tab at the top of the photo, with the file, print, open, e-mail and burn. For some reason I seem to have lost this application at night. Please can someone help as I use it much this tool. Im not sure if she disappeared with the last update of download.

    Thank you

Windows 7 is not 'Fix' feature in Photo Viewer. You can download and install Windows Live Photo Gallery 2011: -.

  • Where can I find the last update for the Windows Photo Viewer... I run Windows 7?

Looking for a last update to the Windows Photo Viewer. Need help. Thank you!

Photo Viewer is part & parcel of your operating system (Windows 7). I never saw an update to the photo viewer.

What problems might you have that you think that an update might resolve itself?

Windows Photo Gallery is part of a suite called Windows Essentials (Live).

  • Problems to tiff in the Windows Photo Viewer files

I'm having a problem with a multi-page tif 1 MB file in Windows 7 with the Windows Photo Viewer, but can open the file on any of our workstations Windows XP with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. The error I get is:

"Windows Photo Viewer cannot open the image because the file seems corrupted, altered, or is too large."

I installed the Windows TIFF IFilter, and we can get a preview of this same tif file in Outlook 2007 on Windows 7 computers. Just can't understand why Windows XP is not a problem but because of Windows 7.

    Thank you.

You have great people skills. Keep it up.

Have a nice day and thanks again for your help.

  • Where is the Windows Photo Viewer program file and what is his name?

After 2 years with Win7, I fell on the existence of the Windows Photo Viewer. But it is not in the start menu.

  • I'm having a problem with the Windows Photo Viewer!

    Hello

My windows is not working. Whenever I tried to open a photo through the windows photo viewer. It shows an error massage.

And here's the screenshot of this massage...

So, I thought that there is something missing in the folder of windows photo viewer. And checked the file. And I saw that there is no file exe to the windows photo viewer. So, how it will run if there is no Executive file? After the second that tried to download this program net. It is not available anywhere. So please tell me how can I recover this file? How I open a photo through the windows photo viewer?

You must identify the program, the pilot or the malicious program that uses the host to consume resources, but these system related processes is not a good idea.

Read the technical notes for advanced malware cleaning (identifying your process) and download process explorer to help ID the source of the problem.

There are resources within Windows for process ID using the columns PID, but I think process explore might be easier for you to use.

  • I have problem rotation tiff file in the Windows Photo Viewer.

The last time when you use Windows XP, it is ok, but after upgrading to Win7 have problem rotation of files tiff using standard Windows photo viewer or Windows Live Photo Gallery. This happens to the files without administrator rights. Understand that the last time WinXP also had this problem but it had been fixed. Any resolution for Windows 7?

If I understand correctly, you cannot rotate the tiff file in the Windows Photo Viewer. I suggest you follow the troubleshooting steps to check if this may help.

    1. don't you make changes on the computer before the show?
2 is the issue limited to the tiff files?
    3. you receive an error message on the computer?

Photo Viewer Windows can only view .jpg and .jpeg, .tif and .tiff, .png, .gif, .bmp and DIBs, .wdp file types.
For more information, see this link:
Understand the types of image files
    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/understanding-picture-file-types

    Method 1:
You can take all the permissions in the folder of tiff files and check.
Here are the steps to change the ownership and permissions of files and folders:

    a. right click on the file or folder, click Propertiesand then click the Security tab.

    b. click Advancedand then click the owner tab.

    c. click change, and then do one of the following:

    · To change the owner to a user or group that is not listed, click other users and groups , in area enter the object name to select (examples), type the name of the user or group, and then click OK.

    · To change the owner to a user or group that appears in the area of change of ownership to , click the new owner.

    d. If you want to take ownership of the contents of the folder, select the checkbox replace the owner of sub containers and objects .

    e. click OKand then click Yes when you receive the following message is displayed:

You are not allowed to read the contents of directory folder name. Do you want to replace the the directory permissions with permissions granting you full control?

All permissions will be replaced if you click Yes.

Note folder_name is the name of the folder you want to take charge.

    f. click OKand then reapply the permissions and security settings that you want for the folder and its contents.

    Method 2:
You can check the link to rotate a picture using Windows Photo Viewer

If the problem is on the Windows Live Photo Gallery you can post the question on the link provided below for assistance

Please follow the recommended steps and post if you still experience the problem. I'd be happy to help you further.

  • How can I get directly in cc P/S of an image in Bridge instead of him coming in the Windows Photo Viewer when I click on the image?

On previous versions, I just clicked on a photo in BR, and he came in P/S at the moment, it is by default in the Windows Photo Viewer. I also get a version of the editor of items 12 trial showing in the table 'open with' I want to get rid of?

Thanks Omke. It's all sorted out now, outside the strand of the trial of the elements that I can live with. Thanks again.

  • All my icons have been changed in the Windows Photo Viewer

and everytime I open an icon it says that windows Photo Viewer cannot open it because I don't have the latest version of the photo viewer, I want just my icons back and open them the right program

Looks like you may have a virus or other malware. Get your updated antivirus program and boot into Safe Mode. Note that some viruses can hide from your normal antivirus program, so you really need to scan in Safe Mode. To enter in Safe Mode when you turn on first, press F8 on every seconds until you get the menu, and then select Safe Mode. Then run a complete system scan.

If that suits him fine. If this is not the case, use system restore to go back to an earlier date at the beginning of the problem. To run system restore, click Start-> programs-> Accessories-> System Tools-> system restore. Click on the box that says show more restore points.

    -

You can check the corrupted system files. Open an administrator command prompt and run SFC if the above does not help. Click START, and then type CMD in the search box, right-click on CMD. EXE and click run as administrator. Then, from the command prompt type sfc/scannow.

    -

Finally if all else fails, you can look at the rather cryptic system event log. To do that click on start-> Control Panel-> administration-> event viewer tools. Once in Event Viewer system log-click and scroll entries looking for these "error" with indicator see if you can find guidance on where the problem may be.

    `

When you get your system in good working condition, I invite you to back up your system up to an external hard drive and make it regular periodic updates.

I hope this helps. Good luck.

  • Too much contrast in the windows photo viewer

Recently, I noticed that when I open an image in windows photo viewer, there is way to much contrast than usual. I tried to play with my display settings, and it solves nothing. I also noticed that when I open the picture in photoshop, it shows good contrast, but when opening the same photo with Photo Viewer, there is a lot of contrast. This problem also goes for the images on firefox.

Here is an example. This is the same exact picture, nothing has changed.

Microsoft should there be upgraded windows media player that can play any type of vedio.it will traditionally use media player to download other players instead. and also upgrad windows photo viewer to open all types of photos...

The latest version of Windows Media Player that could open almost any multimedia file was version 6.4. Starting from this version, Microsoft have not been allowed to allow WMP to play almost any type of media file, and they were taken to court top.

That's why Microsoft does not now permit. Apparently, the decisions of the Court are there to give other media players, including Apple stuff, a foothold in the market. I don't think Microsoft 3rd party codecs use same lawyer in case they have trouble.
