Somehow my poking around I discovered that all records in the tree of my personal have been marked read only and hidden. After that I removed the 2 attributes of all files and folders, LightRoom returns to see & access to all.

  There is no such thing as a Thunderbird account so there is no username or password. Thunderbird is the e-mail client software that allows you to manage your real email account.
  There is no way to request emails from Thunderbird. Draw it will send you anything. It is a software running on YOUR computer.
  If your email account is with Yahoo then they are your provider and any loss of user name and or password must be sent with them.

  Thanks for posting with us.  I suggest try to start safe mode and see if it works correctly.  If Yes, then you can start using the "last known good configuration."   If in Safe Mode, you have the same problem, you should run chkdsk /r and sfc/scannow.  Here are the instructions for these suggestions.  Post back with the results.

  You do know that Windows has the set time as "Hh: mm" (a short) and "HH" (a long) by default. I love the 12-hour format, and I always change... But on Windows 7, I put it as "hh: mm tt" and 'SS tt' and 'h' and 'h' do not appear (example: it looks like this--> "07:23" when it is 19:23). Windows is not return an error when I put like that (if I write to you, for example, "hh: mm tt" return returns an error).

  I think it is a bug of Microsoft... any ideas? If I'm right, how can I report this to the company?

  By default, Windows 7 displays the time in 24-hour format, so if you want to get the AM/PM symbols, then proceed as follows:

  1. click on start, type intl.cpl and press ENTER, then the region and language dialog box appears.
  2 here, click the additional settingsbutton that loads the Custom Format window.
  3 now click on the timetab in this window and set the long and short time of hh hh: mm tt.
  4. click on the apply button and your system clock displays now AM or PM (if it is applicable at the time).

  You can try to leave Explorer yourself.  Here's how:

  1. Press Ctrl-Shift-escape, which should open the Task Manager.
  2. On the file menu, choose new task.  Type explorer.exe and press ENTER.  The taskbar and the desktop should appear.

  However, this is not a permanent solution.  My best advice to you would be to use the system restore to go back to one hour before the beginning of the question.  This restoration process takes about 2 minutes and will not lose one of your folders: it restores only the settings from the system to a point in time that you choose (you can 'come back' as little as a few hours or several weeks).

  To do a test, follow the steps below.  I guess that you are unable to reach the taskbar for the following steps:

  1. Press Ctrl-Shift-escape, which should open the Task Manager.
  2. On the file menu, choose new task.  Type rstrui.exe (this name is for 'restore user interface').  When you click OK, the system restore should start.
  3. Through the system restore program, you will choose a time to come back. When you have completed the program, your computer will restart with the settings at this time.
