  Anyone know how to make a Flash search widget work properly in Director 11? I created a widget to search in Flash and the swf works fine and finishes searching for the correct Web page as it should until I bring it in Director.
  
  I'm working on a project of interactive CD that I create in the Director and I need the widget search Flash to search and open a Web page. There the Lingo or something in the Actionscript of Flash that I need to add or change that the Director recognizes and executes the search widget correctly?

  Hebrew does not appear in the Firefox search box, or in the title tabs. But when I type in the Firefox search box and press ENTER, it searches and displays written correctly in the Google search box in the Google results page. Firefox is the latest version. Mac's OS X 10.6.8. I see that Microchip470 has posted exactly the same problem.

  What finally solved my problem has been installed the module "Theme font & size changer", then change the font in the search box of Firefox thanks to the add-on.

• When I start typing in the upper right search box, after a few letters are typed, a menu drops down with choice. When I click on a choice, it does not appear in the search box and I have to type it myself.

  When I use the search box at top right and start typing a word/words when the menu of possible choices appears and I click one I want, nothing happens. It is not automatically put in the box as he used to and I have to type everything.

• Just installed v35. Now that the search box does not work. ??

  Today I got a message that Firefox v35.0 (Windows version) is ready to install. So I let it install. Once the installation is complete and restarted Firefox, the search box is more work. It presents suggestions for my default search engine (Google), but when I click on a suggestion, nothing happens. Or if I type the search term in directly or click on the arrow (right out of the box), nothing happens.

  If I put the search term in the URL window, it works, but I prefer to use the search box separate of the address bar.

  Try Firefox Safe mode to see if the problem goes away. Firefox Safe mode is a troubleshooting mode that temporarily disables hardware acceleration, restores some settings and disables add-ons (extensions and themes).

  If Firefox is open, you can restart Firefox Safe mode in the Help menu:

  • In Firefox 29,0 and above, click on the menu button

    

    click Help

    

    then select restart with disabled modules.

  • In previous versions of Firefox, click on the Firefox button in the upper left of the Firefox window and click help (or click on help in the Menu bar, if you do not have a Firefox button) and click on restart with disabled modules.

  If Firefox is not running, you can start Firefox in Mode safe mode as follows:

  • On Windows: Hold down the SHIFT key when you open the desktop Firefox or shortcut in the start menu.

  If the problem is not present in Firefox Safe Mode, your problem is probably caused by an extension, theme or hardware acceleration. Please follow the steps described in the section Troubleshooting extensions, themes and problems of hardware acceleration to resolve common Firefox problems to find the cause.

  To exit safe mode of Firefox, simply close Firefox and wait a few seconds before you open Firefox for normal use again.

  When find you what is causing your problems, please let us know. This might help others with the same problem.

• In the Google search box cursor flashes but is not enabled

  I asked this question on the Google forum but has been done on Mozilla forum. I know that I'm not the only one having this problem, but I've not seen a solution. I don't have any installed extensions. I do not understand how a slider can appear active without actually at work. I have to click in the search box, until the cursor starts to work.
  What is this caused by Google or Firefox?
  I use Windows 7.

  I think that I fixed it. I had my Google homepage.
  There is a blue icon of Google in the Firefox toolbar, and when I clicked it activates the cursor. If you right click on the blue icon, you will see an address of Google with a suffix of gibberish. I pasted everything as my homepage, and now the cursor is activated when I open Firefox.

  You can check whether DOM Storage is enabled.

  You can check the pref (s) dom.storage.enabled on the topic: config page.

• Could not load any websites. I don't get any 'error message', the 'enter' key has no effect in the address bar. Works fine in FF and IE search box.

  Entering a URL in the address bar and pressing on enter does nothing. Or the 'enter' key or 'address arrow bar', to go to the site function. Web site does not load and no error message appears. 'Enter' key works very well in the FF and IE search box, is not my keyboard.

   Tried most of the recommended fixes under the "Error loading websites" article with the exception of "DNS refetching", as typing "about:config" in the location bar does no good as the "enter button" won't function. I've removed and re-added FF back into the windows firewall, removed ZoneAlarm from my system, edited proxy settings, deleted and reinstalled FF several times. NOTHING WORKS!!! I'm a die hard FF fan and this is KILLING me. Please HELP!!!

  I open explore and there is no search box, or all the options to search.

  Hi jhblzk.  The name of the service is Windows Search, but even if it has been disabled, you should always see the box "search programs and files".  No harm to check though.  Press the Windows key and r on your keyboard and type:

  services.msc

  and click OK.  Scroll down the page until you find and make sure that the startup type is set to automatic (delayed start) and the service status is started.  If this is not the case, click on start and OK your change.

  If the service does not exist, go to programs and features in Control Panel and click on "turn Windows features turn on or off.  Scroll down and check Windows Search.  OK, your changes and restart.  The search box appears when you click Start now?

  For the last two weeks, I had problems with my user. I suspect that these are permission-related because the problems occur with my user and not the other user on my PC. Curiously however, my user is ADMINISTRATOR permissions so I do not understand why I can do less than the other user. I had the following problems:

  (1) if I go to the search box and try to enter a search string, then first the letters I type do not appear in the box but no research takes place
  (2) if I insert a CD and the Media Player is launched, I see no data media. The CD names and titles do not appear. If I use the other user on the PC there is no problem in this information that is retrieved.

  Before do you anything else - create two additional password Admin users & create disks to reset password for each of them.

  Your symptoms are compatible with corruption on the user profile, and you don't want to get stuck without any functioning Admin accounts.

  I have true WOT 2013 0515 {a0d7ccb3-214d-498b-b4aa-0e8fda9a7bf7} activated on my system. When I use google finds only the first page of research shows full throttle at side.

  When I use the following icon of the page based on the search results, the sides do not show on the next page. I have to go back to the toolbar and click on search, go to the first page and then use the page number at the bottom of the search page to go to the next page, and sometimes even that does not work.

  In addition, if I use the search box on the google search page to change my search, wot ratings do not show. Then I have to perform the above to get the sides to show.

  Hello "it takes a community."
  I'm new to Mozilla Firefox, which seems more to a wall climbing of a learning curve. But I like it much better than the Google home page.

  • I use a Toshiba laptop and a Windows 7 system.
  • Mozilla Firefox start page has a Google search box in the middle of the page. The police in and around the box looks like a 4. Whatever it is, I can't see the words easily.
  • Click on the drop-down tools, click Options, click the content changed police 12 and clicked on OK. The police has not changed on the start page.
  • I went to the option advanced and not clicked the box to allow Web sites to use their own fonts, but that did not help at all.
  • Then, looked everywhere in the Google support site, but I couldn't find a solution.

  Perhaps using the word "police" in my research is my problem! I looked for a solution for well over an hour.

  Help, please! If things continue to go, I'm going to need an anti-depressant.
