Search for ducts took my address bar.
If I type anything in the address bar, links to bing search for Web sites come to the top. If I make a mistake in the address, I am sent to bing.
Antivirus scan detects no problem. Ad-aware updates a Win32 file in quarantine, but it doesn't have an impact on the problem of address bar. I have NOT add software add-ons, toolbars tools or winzip on my computer.
I followed the instructions here: https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/919624 and my problem has been resolved for a few days, now it's back. I have not downloaded anything new, but my computer ran two automatic updates.
You view the integrated Firefox search bar? In General, the address bar after your selection there. By default, the selection is Google (you will see the small g on a blue square).
To put your search providers to their values by default (e.g., Google), you can also use this extension as a solution in one step:
https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/SearchReset/
And just in case you explore all categories on the page Add - ons - which you can access by using either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons
-don't forget to click Extensions in the left column to search for 'Community Toolbar' Add-ons that are usually created by Conduit.
Any improvement?

How to search by keyword of FF4 address bar works as it did in Firefox 3.5?
I use FF4. How to do keyword research address bar works like it did in Firefox 3.5? I mean - in Firefox 3.5, if I typed 'youtube' for example it displays youtube.com. Now, in FF4, if I do the same thing it just opens Google (http://www.google.pl/search?q=youtube & ie = utf - 8 & oe = utf-8 & aq = t & rls = org.mozilla:pl:official & client = firefox-a).
This is a popular request - there are good solutions here:

I could even find in the websites in this way, say by typing France wiki and need me the Wikipedia for the France page, even though I had never been there. (Or sometimes, if I did a search with the term wiki, it would take me to a wiki dedicated to this subject, even though I had never been to this site before.)
I really do not understand how this feature works, but can I turn it on for firefox 4?
The change between Firefox 3.6. * and Firefox 4 is how the location bar search. In Firefox 3.6, it uses Google search "search by name". With innovation by the name search, it performs a search on Google and if there is a clear match he will take you on the site, otherwise, it shows the Google search result. With Firefox 4 it performs just a search on Google, if you type in something that is not recognized as a URL.
To get the behavior of Firefox 3.6 on Firefox 4, you must change a hidden preference.
- Type of topic: config in the address bar and press on enter
- Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
- Locate the preference keyword. URL, double-click it and change its value on the link below
http://www.Google.com/search?ie=UTF-8 & oe = UTF - 8 & SourceId = navclient & gfns = 1 & q =
If you prefer, you can also do this by installing traverse it by extension - https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/browse-by-name

How to turn off the suggestion of "Search with Google" on the address bar?
Since the new update of Firefox that it appeared and I would turn it off if possible. Basically, it turns out whenever I type a title/name of a Web site but I don't need.
Screenshot is attached. Or here's another link if that didn't download: http://i.imgur.com/3lfJHvo.png
Thank you!
Hello FelipeMarc
- In the address bar, type Subject: config and press enter. The subject: config "this might void your warranty!" warning page may appear.
- Click on I'll be careful, I promise! to keep the comments: config page.
- Copy and paste into the search field the next "BOLD" browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
- Double-click on it, to make false
- close the topic: tab config, exit firefox and restart.
Thank you

just changed after the last update of firefox. It's very embarrassing because the address bar and search bar are two different entities.
CTRL + L moves the focus to the address bar
Ctrl + A then selects all the content Ctrl + Del, or a plain Del, or Ctrl + X then deletes that content.

Cannot restore the functionality "search the Web from the address bar.
I just picked up my system of the Funmoods virus. In the process, I uninstalled all Funmoods components and then clean my registry with Malwarebytes. However, I can pick up is no longer the web from the address bar in Firefox. I followed the instructions in the help section of Mozilla on this (here: http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/search-web-address-bar). My settings are:
keyword.URL default string keyword.enabled default boolean true
In my view, here are the correct settings, but clearly they are wrong or there are other I need to adjust the settings. Can someone point me in the right direction on this?
The only thing you would lose a rest is your extensions, nothing else. However, try this: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/

I use the address bar to find, place of the actual search bar field. Why? It is easier. Or it used to be. He used to use Google. He is now using Yahoo!. This is unacceptable. Haha. How can I change that search engine is used in the ADDRESS bar?
You can change the pref keyword. URL on the topic: config page to use Google's "I'm Feeling Lucky" or "Browse by name" Google.
- "I'm Feeling Lucky" Google: http://www.google.com/search?btnI=I%27m+Feeling+Lucky & ie = UTF - 8 & oe = UTF - 8 & q =
- Google "Browse by name": http://www.google.com/search?ie=UTF-8 & sourceid = navclient & gfns = 1 & q =

When you use help I find references to the address bar, toolbar, Bookmark Tags, etc and still do not exactly know what areas these terms make reference to the Firefox page. I tried to find a guide, nothing helps. It would be very useful if help section has been that, if it isn't already.
I found this page, but it is a bit outdated.

Search for invalid e-mail addresses in a function
I have a process that is dying because the email is not valid. I have even read the code of a function:
I'm changing a function which is used in many processes, I just want to check with you guys, I add a condition in the service, just to return a valid address
goremal_email_address LIKE ' % @%. %'; Please let me know if you know a better way to check invalid addresses.
Thank you
FUNCTION f_get_email_addr ( p_pidm IN goremal.goremal_pidm%TYPE, p_type IN goremal.goremal_emal_code%TYPE ) RETURN goremal.goremal_email_address%TYPE IS v_result goremal.goremal_email_address%TYPE := NULL; BEGIN SELECT goremal_email_address INTO v_result FROM goremal WHERE goremal_emal_code = p_type AND goremal_status_ind <> 'I' AND goremal_pidm = p_pidm AND ROWNUM = 1 and goremal_email_address LIKE '%@%.%'; RETURN v_result; END f_get_email_addr;
From the documentation
REGEXP_INSTR Function Searches a string or substring for a given occurrence of a regular expression pattern (a substring) and returns an integer indicating the position in the string or substring where the match is found. You specify which occurrence you want to find and the start position. This function call performs a boolean test for a valid e-mail address in the email column: REGEXP_INSTR(email, '\w+@\w+(\.\w+)+') > 0

Limit the "Record Type" options in the section search for presentation of the action bar
Is it possible to limit the options of 'Record Type' in the 'Search' section in the disposition of the action bar for users specific role.
Thank you!Mahesh, if you uncheck the box to go to step 2 of the role that you would restrict access to these types of records in the section of the application and research in the action bar.

Tags are not when you type a keyword in the address bar
Already when I typed a tag in the address bar - bookmarks Tags would be present. Now very rarely this happens to you and instead the engine search terms search appear.
To search for tags/keywords, I now have to open bookmarks and search in there. Very annoying... it sucks big time. WTF happened?
Thank you Joe
You can add a space and a + to search for tags in the address bar.

I want to search in the address bar
I have the new firefox 43, when I type things in the bar recipient, my most used web sites pop up at the top and I press down arrow once and get the website, I want, but now article 1 is always the search option, I don't don't need or want it to be there I have a search to the search bar.
How do I 100% completely remove the search from the address bar icon so that the 1st item in the list goes back to be web addresses?
PS I also find it very disconcerting that during this update we asked me if I wanted to search option/suggestions in the address bar and I said no, but when I was looking into options to get rid of this 'new' this option has been activated.
What others of my preferences during the installation you just ignore?
This is a new feature in Firefox 43. To turn it off to do this:
- Go about: config in Firefox
- Click on the I'll be careful button
- Locate the Boolean browser.urlbar.unifiedcomplete
- Change the false value
Note: You may need to restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

When you use the address bar to search Firefox automatically chooses the Web site he thinks is the best and opens the page. How can I stop this from happening?
The address bar is powerful enough for the search as it is. His behavior is editable, and you can even on the fly restrict to certain categories.

Hi TomCougar,
Change the search provider keyword for the address bar is actually pretty easy. Take a look at the article in the Knowledge Base Search the web from the address bar. It will give you all the information you need for her to go back to Google.
Hope this helps!

Please tell me how to restore the regular installation of address bar of google search?
I used to be able to search in my address bar and get regular google, but now I've updated firefox to a new version, she's looking for the address bar with foxstart which, although seems to have the google logo, does not all the results that google and does give me not the option of images etc which is very frustrating and tedious and after that I'm wrong looked in the address bar and got a load results fruitless search, I have to click on the button of my house and then redo the search all over google. It's just an irritating gripe. Please help me
To set the default search engine used in the address bar, replace the value of the keyword. URL in Subject: config to one of the values in the search of the address bar with MozillaZine.
- Search Google (Google search results page)
http://www.Google.com/search?ie=UTF-8 & oe = UTF-8 & q =
- type about: config in the location (in a new tab) toolbar
- If the nonsense of warning message appears uncheck the box before dismiss the dialog box message
- filter by keyword
- Right click on the key word . URL and choose 'Edit' then paste in the string of search engine Google of your choice.
- Search Google (Google search results page)
