Search Google Navigation Tree Horizontal vs Vertical

Periodically, including now, Firefox displays the search navigation tree Google verses horizontally the usual layout page/vertical display. I noticed it tends to be after a restart of the computer and of course is not always a problem.

Special display in Google images to the vertical options limits horizontal navigation.

Thanks for the information on Google. I wasn't aware of this.

Somewhere in the clearing of all, this problem has been resolved. Ridicule me. I know that to clear cookies and cache when pop up Web pages display problems. Thanks for the reminder!

    I added a cus 06/25/10, wanted to shorten the google search and navigation bars to see, but can't. Have re-installed the google toolbar, have chosen the version of firefox as my default tool bar and can then change the width, but when a box shortens the other if extension always fill the width of the screen. Customize toolbar doesn't give any options to reduce the width of toolbar, I am at a total loss. Would love suggestions if you have correctly fixed this.

    This has happened

    Each time Firefox opened

    is 25/06/10

    The address bar and the search bar have a flex property and take all available space.
    You can change the relative size of the two with this resizer between two bars.
    You can only do this by adding a lot of space in the view > toolbars > customize window.

    You can set a fixed width by defining the min-width and max-width for the same value.

    Add code to userChrome.css below @namespace.
    See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Editing_configuration#How_to_edit_configuration_files

    @namespace url("http://www.mozilla.org/keymaster/gatekeeper/there.is.only.xul"); /* only needed once */

    #urlbar-container {max-width:400px!important; min-width:400px!important;}
    #search-container {max-width:200px!important; min-width:200px!important;}

    You can choose your own values as long as the min-width and max-width for each bar have the same value.

  • Text in centered DIV horizontally and vertically.

    I made a bar of simple navigation at the bottom of a site that I am building and had it centered horizontally and vertically.  When I pulled the top of the page now the text is completely to the left and I had no problem with him the day before. I made no changes to the code. I use IE9, but I've been since I started this site. Everything looks fine in Firefox. If I approached IE9 compatibility mode, it is centered horizontally but not vertically. Any ideas?

    Just add height: 90px; and line-height: 90px; to your 'bottom_menu' of the selector css (as shown below)

    {#bottom_menu}
    text-align: center;
    Width: 974px;
    margin: 0px auto;
    Clear: both;
    height: 90px;
    line-height: 90px;

  • Can I create a link from the current position of say "+ 1000' horizontally or vertically for a one page site.

    I'm experimenting with a site to a page with horizontal and vertical sections.  In a perfect world, I would like to have an image of type compass/arrows with a fixed position - always present, which connects to all areas on a big site of a page.

    Assuming that the browser knows where it is in the page, it seems clear that you have links that take you say 1000 to the right, one for up to 1000, one for the bottom etc.  I've been shooting with arrows of absolute positioning that connects all sections of the page, but each of them must be configured individually. I also have a fixed menu position that links to all the sections.  A fixed navigation compass would be very cool.

    If this isn't the case, I'm sure this is possible with the java script, but I'm looking for an easy solution, as I'm not familiar with java.  If someone could point me to something, I would be very grateful.  I've been looking for more information for days - I discovered how to soft scroll however.

    I know not java.

    Java is a programming language used most often in applications, but not much on the web more found.  JavaScript is a common web programming language.  2 totally different things.

    I'm afraid that you would need to write a JavaScript complex and customized for this.  DW is not built by a behavior for what you want.

    You could nose autour Dynamic Drive or Hotscripts to see if you can find something close to what you want, perhaps in the form of a carousel.

    Good luck

  • How we split the screen for different horizontal and vertical divisions

    Hello

    How we split the screen for different horizontal and vertical divisions. I can't use panelSplitter because I need fixed screen and not the division which is movable/sliding. I tried inlineframe, but which fails because you cannot use forms, other trees components... :(

    so I would like to know how to do division without panelSplitter.

    Thanks in advance,
    Jyothi

    Hi Jyothi,

    If you set the panelSplitter attribute disabled to true, the delimiter becomes permanent/mobile no.

    Kind regards

  • When I run Firefox I get msg indicating that the site is not reliable I get this for all engines of search, google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.

    When I launch Firefox normally it goes right to my Google page, but recently when I run Firefox I get a message indicating that Google.com is a unreliable site. I get this message for all engines of search, Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc. How can I solve this problem?

    You run Kaspersky, correct? If you use the SSL scanning feature, Firefox must be put in place to approve the present Kaspersky false certificate to decrypt your secure connections. If you used the discount during the last update function - for example, Firefox says it's a bad performance and offers to restore some default settings - you have to do it again the installer of Kaspersky/Firefox.

  • Don't search google when a Word is written into the address bar.

    Already when I typed a word or more in the address bar, it would be to do a search on google. Now when I get back a Word and press enter it takes me for a while the page with the following message to this topic:

    502 bad Gateway
    Nginx/1.3.7

    To do this, search google when I type more than one word.

    Yes, when there is a single word, Firefox try it with www. at the beginning and .com at the end (depending on your situation). To avoid this, disable the feature of "correction" here:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the filter box, type or paste the Correction and take a break while the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the browser.fixup.alternate.enabled to return false. This should take effect immediately with the following search, and you can close this tab.

  • R - click menu "search Google for" [text]

    My FF (13.0.1) intermittently offers via the click menu option right for "search Google for ' some text that I chose.

    AFAICT there is no rhyme/reason when it is and isn't, and I want to do it every time.

    I don't think I could be the only one, but maybe my research OS is not what it was.

    Thank you!

    Can you give an example of a situation where it does not appear, and text is selected?

    It does work in a text box or the entry form.

  • Search Google in Safari is slow

    I'm running Safari 9.0.3 with El Capitan 10.11.3 on a new Macbook Pro retina 15 "and have a hard time looking for the Safari address bar. Probably 50 to 75% of the time when I type something in the search bar to search Google, search hangs for a very long time, or just expires. At first I thought that this could be a problem with my home network, but it happens when I travel as well. Going on google and the search are faster, but often Safari crashes after I typed 'google.com '.

    I tried several fixes without result:

    -change the search engine in Safari preferences

    -Disable all my extensions

    -Disable all my plugins

    -Disabling the "Include search engine Suggestions."

    -affecting my DNS DNS OpenDNS & Google

    -disable the DNS prefetching

    -deletion of my story

    -suppression of the ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari/Cache.db

    -suppression of the ~/Library/Caches/Metadata/Safari

    -removal of the preferences of Safari

    If anyone knows something else that might work, I would be very grateful, so far my efforts seem to be worse

    Please start in recovery mode. In the OS X Utilities screen, select get online help. It will launch a clean copy of Safari. Some plugins, such as Flash, will be available. While in recovery, you do not have access to your saved bookmarks or passwords, so take note of those who before, if they are required for the test.

    Test. After testing, restart as usual and display the results.

  • 1.5 and Google Navigation

    I posted this on the VERY long discussion 2.0... I wonder if anyone heard WHY Google was unable to develop a version of Google Navigation (with audio turn-by-turn directions) that would work with 1.5? Only that would make many people happy?

    I would say it is probably because the 1.6 has built in better speech recognition and TTS (text-to-speech). Among other things, I'm sure. This is one of the main reasons I want an update.

  • Car dock + Google Navigation + gingerbread = dark screen

    On a day sunny display gets dim, bearly visible when the phone is rooted running Google navigation car. It started right after the installation of gingerbread. I tried to use beightness manual maxed out but it did not help. Clikcing on the home button will restore the brightness of the display, however, dating back to the navigation will cause the screen to go dim after a few minutes.

    One experience else this issue before?

    I have noticed this effect without the car dock as well.

    It seems that Google now requires Navigation to decrease intensity between the transition points. I noticed the screen dimmed on static stretching, but brightened when you approach a ramp or turns. Curious. Fortunately, I was travelling a stretch uncrowded at the time. Other things may not have turned out to be so good.

    I speculate that GOOG El think darkening of the screen may require drivers to spend more time watching the roads. But it seems uncontrollable screen dimming is more distracting than expected.
