• Please correct the function map for photo albums in Photos

  Dear Apple people - difficulty please please the function map for photos in photo books. I loved the features of cards in iPhoto, so why go to all the trouble of screwing up so royally in Photos v1.5? A few examples at random: instead of being able to type a place name and have the program to find the place for you, must now click on the + sign, then a red dot appears in a place at random (as in the middle of the Tasman Sea), and we can then move the red dot at the location you want (after first checking a different map to determine the correct location of the place you mean - Port Douglas Australia for example). A colossal waste of time. Or how about this: it takes an hour to put the plan in place so, then closes the program. At the next opening it, found the red dots have all migrated to odd locations around the map, bearing no resemblance to where they were placed at the origin. Once again, a huge waste of time. And it's only two of many examples.

  Please, I beg you, bring back the features of cards in iPhoto!

  3. you can certainly type the names of places with pictures - using Photos (a great place to get help with Photos)

  View and add information about the photos

  To view or change information for the photos, you select one or more photos, and then open the information window.

  • Open the Info window: Double-click a photo to view it, and then click the Info button in the toolbar or press on command I.
  • Add or edit information:

  • Title: Enter a name in the title field.
  • Description: In the Description field, type a caption.
  • Favorite: Click the Favorites button to mark the photo as a favorite. Click the button again to deselect.
  • Keywords: Enter the keywords in the keywords field. When you type, Photos suggest keywords that you have used before. Press enter when you have finished a keyword. To remove a keyword, select it and press DELETE.
  • Faces: Click on and type a name to identify a face. Click on several times, and then drag the identifier of the face different faces to identify many faces in a photo.
  • Location: Enter a location in the location field. When you type, Photos suggest places you can choose. To change a location, you can search a different location or change the location by dragging a PIN on the map. To remove location information, delete it or choose Image > location, then choose Remove location or back to the original location. You cannot assign a location if your computer is not connected to the Internet

  The reason why you see directions is not available, it's that for cards of Apple, turn-by-turn directions is not a feature that is available in the Qatar. You can search for places and satellite imagery

  First of all, you must have visible Contact pane: on the view/presentation/Contact address book pane. Then, to show the "Get Map" button in the Contacts pane, the contact must have work tab of the properties of the contact or data in the field address on the private sector.

  I don't know what that I have maybe changed, but right-click on any image, gave me the option in the Google search menu for the image. This option is gone.

  This is not a built-in feature. Have you used any of these extensions:

  You might first check the addons page to ensure that it is not disabled. Either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. On the right side, off the cluster of extensions at the bottom.

  If it is enabled, it could be a problem with some of the code in the extension is not compatible with Firefox 40, or one other extension it bumping from the context menu.

• Help! I can't change the search engine for the Firefox widget on my home screen

  OK, so my engine failure to research on FF for Android is Duckduckgo. It is also the only one I have in my list of search engines in FF settings. I also use the search widget FF on my homescreen for quick search. It is and has always been, Duckduckgo. But, all of a sudden after the recent update (I use the FF, 36 beta something), for my search widget on my home screen, switched to Google search engine! I don't know why... I never use it. But this applies only to the search engine for the FF search on my home screen widget, not when I'm looking for something in FF itself. Does anyone else have this problem? Because I can't find a way to change the search engine in the FF widget... Looked everywhere in search widget settings and in FF itself. Thanks for the help of any body!

  I found a way to implement back to DuckDuckGo after a bit of fiddling with the default search engine in the browser.

  I think that the update should have overridden the setting somehow. What you need to do is to any other search engine default, then set DuckDuckGo returned as default. This will also update engine of the widget's default search.

  This looks like a problem maybe caused by adware on your pc (oracle is group the ask toolbar in its critical security updates if you don't mind a disselect for example).

  Please go to firefox > addons > extensions and remove any suspicious entries (toolbars, the things that you have not installed intentionally, I don't know what purpose they serve, etc.). also go to Control Panel / programs and remove all toolbars or potentially unwanted software from there.

  The first thing you need to do is to backup your data. You have a Linux CD or an other operating system, you can start? pendrivelinux.com has a good solution to make Linux bootable thumb drives. If you think that you get a Linux CD drive or thumb, you can start on Linux and just browse your hard drive and copy your files and documents using regular file manager.

  If you don't think you can handle that, I call a computer repairman and ask if you can have your documents copied on DVD or backup disk.

  The next thing you need to do is get Windows 8 rerun. If you have a CD, you need to "Refresh" your pc. Then start using the Win8 CD and follow the prompts.

  There is another option. If you look on Ebay, you can find cheap usb connectors SATA. Get out of your hard drive, plug in the adapter and plug the usb end into your computer else and just read the disc from there.
