seconds dividers in labview timestamp

Hello

I am puzzled how the timestamp of labview and whether seconds dividers are included in it or not.

In the link http://www.ni.com/white-paper/7900/en/

It clearly states that they are not:(i64) seconds since the epoch 01/01/1904 00:00:00.00 UTC (using the Gregorian calendar and ignoring leap seconds)

BUT if I converted at the present time (as I understand is Windows time which includes the seconds dividers) timestamp labview in seconds, they seem to be in harmony and can have a lag of 25 or more (seconds) which are the seconds infill introduced since 01/01/1904

Example:

12:10 10/07/2014-> 3495521400

Is it possible to demonstrate with a small vi as the second leap are or are not included in the timestamp of labview?

Thank you

In my Im application data in files TDMS. When I read the PDM with Ms Excel data, the time is 1 hour before esactly if data is read by another computer.

Time is okay if the data is read by the computer that registered the tdms files.

So I colleague the link suggestion, but in records of Windows I have not found any key TZ.

Does anyone have suggestions for this problem?

    Thank you very much

I tried to use the forum suggestions, but all results were unsuccessful.

In any case I solved the problem and I want to share with other users of Lv.

I noticed that in the computer used for the acquisition and recording of the PDM, the time file has shown is correct but the zone was wrong (I live in + 1, and pc was set to + 0)

The laptop I use for reading the PDM data is correctly set to + 1.

I lined up zones, the problem disappeared.

  • Use Labview Timestamp in C++

    Hello

I have to synchronize two software to 20 ms of precision, the timestamp of labview first single use (128bits, 1904 ect...) and cannot be changed.

and the second is written in C++ using DAQmx, I find the trick of subtracting the number of seconds of a struct tm classic.

But it's not accurate enough for me.

The only solution I found, is to use Structure SYSTEMTIME and use the same round as the struct tm.

But I do find it very nice, so is it possible to use the same routine as labview in a classic C++ program (or cvi classic)?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Eric-

I don't know if you are still working on it, but I thought I would mention the time CVI API absolute in the library of utilities.  It uses the Format binary time of National Instruments, which I think is what should use LabVIEW and should meet your needs.

  • How to change the time timestamp labview at the UTC time

    Hello

I have table of database in UTC time field.i select and insert data in the database table based on labview timestamp controll.

    S:no U.name PWD Epoch (UTC 1970)

    1 1450422341 123 kumar

    mock 2 786 1450421623

the era of labview is difference from UTC time. so ADD this second 2082844800 at the time of labview that it will work for selection quary but time insert is not a job.

  • timestamp to the number function

The range of functions and Conversion screw has a function that converts the number of seconds passed a time stamp (To Time Stamp Function).  I need to go the other way, a duplicate timestamp (number of seconds since midnight, Friday, January 1, 1904 universal time).  Someone at - it a function to do this?  I tried to type cast without success.

Simply use the function Of Double precision Float . It is polymorphic and will accept a timestamp to return the number of seconds since the LabVIEW 'zero time '.

  • How to get the exact time of microsoft access in LabVIEW?

Microsoft access stores date/time in the precision up to a second.

    It stores not milliseconds.

So, when I get back access time and convert LabVIEW timestamp,

The variant ' 2012-04-16 14:45:01 "(without millisecond) comes from the access database becomes 2012-04-16 14:45:00.999 in LabVIEW timestamp.". "

I do not know how to ajouter.000 to the retrieved Variant.

How can I prevent LabVIEW by subtracting 1 millisecond of the access date/time variant while converting LabVIEW timestamp?

  • UNIX timestamp

I am looking for a way to convert a time value UNIX (1201900638) so that it generates a ColdFusion page in the format mm/dd/yyyy. Anyone would be able to help with that? Thank you...

According to the time Unix the number of seconds elapsed since midnight time coordinated universal (UTC) of January 1, 1970, not counting the seconds dividers... The number of time Unix sucks at the time Unix and increases by exactly 86 400 per day since the time

    As a result, January 1, 1970 + (1201900638 / 86400) = February 1, 2008

What is the date that is the number of "UNIX time" you have posted?

According to the unix timestamp and epoch conversion tool, 1201900638 is equivalent to the following:

    GMT: Friday, February 1, 2008 21:17:18 UTC
Your timezone (PDT): Friday, February 1, 2008 13:17:18

    Try this:

    #DateConvert ("utc2Local", DateAdd ("s", 1201900638, CreateDate("1970","01","01"))) #.

Where CreateDate() converted to a date/time on January 1, 1970, Functionadds with a parameter of "s" Add 1201900638 seconds to l 'era' start date, and with "utc2Local" DateConvert() converts the time UTC to your local time.

You can then use the DateFormat() attribute to display in any format you want.

    Hi hlod,.

Here are two versions for the second of the current timestamp:

One of the top just converts timestamp seconds (since then), while the lower part, you get the current "seconds" value of the timestamp. The next time you better explain what you want...

  • LabVIEW code 3 error: could not load façade.

    Hello

I was the second time the "LabVIEW code 3 error: could not load before sign.» When you use the development of LabVIEW 2009 SP1 environment.

It's really annoying that I waste time as I have to go back to previously saved code.

Does anyone know where it comes from and how to avoid it?

    Thank you

    Pawel

    Pawel,

If the façade is damaged, there is little that we can really do about it. So the best thing is to make sure that the front will never get corrupted at all.

You can write a small VI using VI Server to check the position of the element in your VI. If there is way to positions of reposition before saving the VI.

Another reason could be much, duplication of controls (including the faulty XControls?)...

    hope this helps,

  • Reading port com1 through LabView

    Hi all!

I create an application that will receive the data sent by the software installed on your computer. The software communicates with the hardware dedicated via usb connector. In the software, it is possible to choose the COM_x (x = 1, 2, 3...) port and baud rate.
The purpose of this application is to follow the data sent to the material in order to control it as the data sent.

    The questions are:

How to display the computer COM port in the LabView environment?

And you need to install the driver-s for this? What is?

The COM port is available on your computer should appear in the NOT-max software?

Unfortunately, I couldn't find this information and I need help for this application.

    Thank you

    Gabriel

So another piece of software on the same computer has a serial port control and sends data through it.  You want to intercept these data?  Unfortunately, LabVIEW can do that.  LabVIEW will take control of a serial port and have full control of it.  It will not share a port with another software.

Now if you made a loopback cable and used a second port, your LabVIEW program can read the data from this port.

  • How do I add time to the timestamp string

    Hello

I have a problem with the addition of time to a timestamp string that is shown on the image below.

What I need is to add some time for example. 1 hour, but if this change happens between 23:00 and 00:00, I need to change the date.

    Wanted for example results:

    14:53, 22.4.2015. --> 15:53, 22.4.2015.

    23:33, 22.4.2015. --> 00:33, 23.4.2015.

    Help, please

Use the time to get based on seconds to get the time, use this form to add and subtract the time (to add an hour, simply add 60 * 60 seconds), use the entry timestamp in the Format Date/time function when you want an implementation of the chain.

  • LabVIEW 2011/Front Panel diagram responds slowly

Today, the block diagram and the front of my application (using LabVIEW 11.0) became very slow. Any changes (add, move him, scroll etc.) takes more than one second. Restart LabVIEW helps for awhile, and then it becomes slow. Restart the PC did not help either.

So, I tried to delete all items added today, but the effect remains the same. When I try to close the Project Explorer LabVIEW reacts more (not answer). Very annoying.

I also tried to change the settings of the graphics card: nope.

What should I do? Start the project?

All suggestions except do not use LabVIEW for new projects?

    Would be appreciated.

  • DocumentRoot in niwebserver.conf (LabVIEW 2009)

I use the built-in web server of LV2009 and try to make my way through the creation of a stand-alone application.  So far, I've done pretty well, but I have some questions about the directives in the configuration file of the web server.  There seems to be conflicting information in the forum on the directives of path, so I'd like to pin down here.

The two positions that seem to relate to what I've found directly are:

    http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=170&message.ID=434722#M434722

    http://forums.NI.com/NI/board/message?board.ID=170&message.ID=393057#M393057

Thus, can the path used for DocumentRoot be relative?  And if so, to what?

Ideally, I would like to have this compared to the configuration file (which seems to be stated in the first post above).  However, it may be that the path is compared to the web server itself (as inidicated in the second post).

    Thanks for the clarification!

    James

    Hi James,

I believe that your first link to the post of NathanK is correct. He says there that "in 2009 all paths relative in niwebserver.conf are relative to the location of the config itself". If the path can be relative and the path to the webserver.conf file.

I think that the difference of its two positions is because the position in your second link about LabVIEW 8.6, while the post in your first link is about LabVIEW 2009, as well as information on the differences between the two versions.

    Kind regards

    Stephen S.
