seeking calendar alerts

I am looking for a calendar program that will send alerts to my account (the way calendar used for). Since I upgraded to el Capitan, alerts, I put in place in the calendar 8.0 simply get lost in the Notification Center as hundreds of applications send messages.

Can anyone recommend a 3rd party calendar program for el Capitan on a mac (no iphone or ipad).

Thank you.

Calendar done yet - the option is not as obvious. Select alert - mine says 15 minutes prior to the event. Contains a list of the different times and the last option is custom. Select custom.  The first option is the message with the sound. Click on it to find the e-mail option and select it.

  • Incompatible calendar alerts

    2 problems with calendar alerts-

Yesterday, I put an alert for 07:30 today, wanting to be sure I got the first thing when I turned on my computer.  I turned it around 08:30 the alert did not then and always, there is no (now 10:00).  It's already happened.

Second question, the alerts are not compatible - sometimes, they stay on the screen, and they sometimes disappear their own after a few minutes.  Yesterday we came but he just "flashed", and I didn't have time to read.

Here's my notification preferences - did I miss something?  I need to solve this problem-

    Thank you

    Hey there lynnefrombc!

Looks like you're running into a problem with the calendar alerts where sometimes it will not be displayed at all and other times when it will disappear before they have a chance to do something with it.  I know that I rely on my calendar every day because without alerts then I never have important meetings so we will see this and fix the problem for you.  To the extent where the parameters as you have given a screenshot, all who look so great job offer there.

When it comes to alerts for calendar events, one thing to check is that the alert is set when you create the event rather than just the time.  It should appear directly under the date and time of the event that you create (or you can double-click an event so that it will give you the option for the alert).  This has more information on how to do it: Calendar (El Capitan): define an event alert and notifications

If alerts are defined as above, then read this article for more information on what to do when the alerts come across: Calendar (El Capitan): If you do not receive alerts

  • action for ME calendar alerts

I have three requests that I just put in suggestions apple iPhone. Maybe someone can help me understand if these are currently possible without much coding? or maybe is there another app, I can add to the stable to get calendar alerts to work for me? Thank you

    -

    1. ask to my alerts calendar return by default for alerts of 30 minutes 1 hour /and/ for /all/ calendar settings because that's what it took me 90% of the time. Currently, I have to fix these manually...

2 calendar alerts "macros" that allow me to select a set custom "macro mistakes." He let me select a macro that would have a name. for example 'bill macro' and this give me 2 weeks in advance and 1 week in advance 'macro appointment' 30 min and 1 hour, etc. 2 hours and 1 hour AND 30 minutes of 'macro important appointment. "

3 would be great to have a BILL ALERT which let me set an alert for a bill that has reappeared on a monthly or dated - and let me TURN IT OFF when the invoice is paid but let it happens next month or of the Foundation.

Calendars cannot do what you want right now. This linkwill take you to the comment page of the calendar where you can directly make suggestions to Apple. No guarantee not suggestions will get into the next version of the calendar, but I can say that I have seen changes due in part to your comments. Fantastic is a 3rd party calendar program that will allow you by default several alerts and I use it for this. It is available for the Mac, but also the iOS. The developers are very sensitive and your ideas could seduce the faster it with Apple.

  • IPhone 6 calendar alerts

Why do the alert time calendar (first of all to draw the attention and the attention of second) always put when I put them?

I used to have this problem sometimes with my old iPhone 4 but on my 6, I always have this problem. I would like to set an alarm for 1 to 2 hours before the event, and then a second alarm 30 or 15 minutes before the event. It doesn't let me do this. When I put in 1 to 1 HR BEFORE the EVENT alert and alert 2 to 15 MINUTES BEFORE the EVENT, it automatically switches and then alert 1 became 15 MINUTES PRIOR to the EVENT and alert 2 is 1 HR BEFORE EVENT. It does not work. I liked having two alerts, but it does not work. The second alert never happens.

so frustrating! What is the interest of both alerts then?

whenever I put an alert mine pass too. It's maddening. normally, I'm the first alert, the value one day before the event. I put the second alert 2 hours before the event. I noticed it since I upgraded 9.3.5.

apple people read our questions or problem should have a shat - tone of the answers before he is their attention?

    Thank you.

  • iPhone Calendar - alert Pick-up

iPhone Calendar - Pick-up alert capacity

    Problem:

I know how set up an alter in iPhone calendar before an event that helps me to drop the kids off, but how do I easily put up a reminder to pick them up before the end of the event?  Currently iPhone calendar does not allow alerts after the start of the event.  I don't want to implement separate collection reminders.  In a business setting can also be good for people to know when the meeting should end, so a late meeting alert can be useful as well.

    Current solution:

I currently use my timer, but I want to do in the calendar in the same event entry.   Example: A third alert 15 minutes before the end of the event.  In addition, it would also be nice to find a solution for the pick-ups that assign the pick-up and drop off spots between my wife and me in this alert.

    Other tips?

Is there an app for that other than calendar?  How to pass this suggestion to the development of Apple products so that they can add this feature?

You can watch an application named "alarmed." It allows you to set reminders in all sorts of ways. The developer is Yoctoville.

  • Stop email shared calendar alerts

I use the latest Macbook Pro and the latest software as of today on all equipment. I use the calendar to our small home business. My partner and I share our calendars between them. Ever time I either she or I a new calendar entry in our own calendar, an alert message is sent to the other person to inform them of the entry. I want to disable this option. Does anyone know how to do this? I tried so many different approaches. I've entered calendar preferences and tried different settings for alerts. I tried to do a right click on the actual shared calendar and disabling alerts. I entered in Mail and I tried to General preferences Invitations to add to the calendar automatically. I don't know what else to try. I tried all the suggestions in this iCloud calendar notification problems Shared link

    Any thoughts anyone?

    Tubecrawler,

Go to iCloud.com, sign in to your account, select "Calendar" and click on the "Gear" icon in the lower left of the window > Preferences... > advanced > event updates > uncheck "Email me shared calendar updates," then save.

Make sure that this selection is done on both accounts iCloud.

  • How to disable alerts from travel time calendar

From iOS 10, I get calendar alerts, not 5 minutes before my meeting (which is what I said), but rather these travel alerts in time talk about traffic conditions and if I leave now, I'll make my meeting... or something to that effect.  Is it possible to disable these and have just alerts timed static normal that I specify.

And besides, all my calendar events have time to travel the value 'None '.

  • Receive emails of alerts to calendar, they do not appear in calendar inbox

I used to receive all alerts calendar directly in the calendar, and now I get emails instead. I use airmail for my mail app, but have put in calendars to sync into my accounts for IOS. Everything works fine on my MacBook. All calendar alerts through the calendar application. How can I stop getting emails for calendar events and get the alert in the calendar?

The method used to send and receive calendar invitations depends entirely on the type of calendar used.  In other words, for example, a calendar iCloud would send the alert directly to your calendar, but other calendars (like maybe gmail) would not.

  • Alerts/Notifications however not passed to watch calendar

I scoured the forums and I have yet to find a clear answer to my problem.

I get all my phone calendar alerts to my Apple Watch. I have 'mirror iphone' lit. I have notifications on the value in the phone settings. I'm the calendar reminder (alerts) 5, 10, 15 minutes before the event very well on the phone itself, but never pushes at my watch. The phone is not on or unlocked when alerts expected (should) come through.

I have NO problem get any other phone notification/alerts to look outside the calendar. I use the stick ical app on iphone.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Hello

It may help to try these settings:

-On your iPhone, in the application of Eve, go to: My Watch (tab) > calendar > choose custom and turn on all the options available.

Otherwise, it can help to restart your iPhone and your watch:

-Turn off the two devices together, and then restart your iPhone first.

    -To switch off your watch: press and hold the button side until you see the cursor off the power; slide it to turn off;

-To reactivate: press and hold the side button until you see the Apple logo.

  • Why in the calendars back on my iPhone6 alerts and how can I solve this problem?

I am running the latest IOS, but this problem has always been there since I bought my iPhone 6 last year. When defining a calendar alert first alert shows as later n the second and if you try to pass their they default as soon as possible. This can be solved?

Based on the experience with this issue, I am convinced that Apple has no interest in fixing that boring small glitch, or even if they deem it a glitch, or design. I reported using the procedure of Feedback from Apple at least half a dozen times, with several versions of iOS, with no change in behavior.

  • Alerts personalized calendar app Apple Watch switches to

For some reason any starting today, I just noticed that I can not switch on customized on my Apple Watch calendar alerts.  When I set it to 'Custom' instead of 'Mirror my iPhone', the button "View alerts" is green, but all the other calendar settings are turned to "Off" and when I go to turn it on, it's like the button to toggle them is stuck and won't turn on. Someone knows how to fix this?

    Hi Frank

You find that it is due to rules imposed by a profile that has been installed on your iPhone (configuration profile is to say business, mobile device management, or exchange rate policy). If your iPhone is managed in this way, contact your administrator of device information and help.

However, the custom options are most useful when you want to receive notifications on your watch unlike how the calendar offers them on your iPhone.

It can help to choose my iPhone mirror. Depending on the configuration of your iPhone, your watch can then provide calendar with audio and vibration alerts (even if the vibration is not included in your iPhone for the calendar notification settings).

Also check your settings of the iPhone for each type of notification of calendar:

-On your iPhone, go to: settings > Notifications > calendar.

-Enable all options for each type of alert, including the choice of a sound (although this will not change the type of sounds on Apple Watch).
