  You can install both, but there are a few steps to take.

  When you install Firefox 4, use the custom installation option and choose a different location to install Firefox.

  In order to use both versions, you must create a new profile for Firefox 4 (Firefox stores the user data in the profile). Using the same profile with different versions can cause problems. Once you create a new profile, you can copy some data such as bookmarks and passwords between them. You can also use Firefox Sync to keep synchronized profiles.   To change startup options in Windows Vista and later versions of Windows, use BCDEdit (BCDEdit.exe), a tool included in these versions of Windows. You may not use Bootcfg or NvrBoot to change boot options on Windows Vista and later versions of Windows, even if you can continue to use them to modify the options to start on earlier versions of Windows.
