Select audio device Realtek as the in / out audio device

Whenever it starts, my ACER laptop displays the following message... «to enable the audio switch function, select the audio device Realtek as the audio in / out device.» At the same time, a box opens upward with three tabs, reading, recording and sound. A device high definition audio is defined as default as usual... I don't understand what he's asking me to set up.  I tried to reinstall the audio driver and the sound works ok, but the rest of this annoying message.  I am running Vista Home Premium with Service Pack 2 installed. Response of the technical service was Acer... Wipe your hard drive and reinstall windows!

Hello

Check if your default audio device is set to realtek.

1. click on start, type Sound in the box to start the search.

2. click on sound in the results of search at the top of the start menu.

3. click on the tab reading notice the check mark next to the default device. For most users, the default device is speakers. Make sure that the audio settings are configured as expected. Follow these steps:

1. on the playback tab, select the playback device, click Properties, click the Advanced tab and make sure that the default Format is set to the value you expect. When you are finished, close this window to return to the previous window.

2. on the playback tab, select the playback device, click on configure and make sure that the configurations are set correctly.
If the sound settings are well positioned, you are using speakers as the audio device and your speakers are already set as the default device, go to method 5 now.

4. If it is set to realtek change for speakers as the default audio device and then click on set as default.

5. click OK to save your settings and close the sound dialog box.

Once done with the above step restart your computer and check if you experience the same problem.

Let us know if that helps.

Kind regards
Anthony

    Sorry to hear that.

If you see boot and boot to the EFI file manager but nothing else, the USB is not detected.

    Please, perform the above steps

    Hi KarlMaskery,

    1. When you receive the error message?

    2. you have any external hard drive connected to the computer?

    3. do you have security software installed on the computer?

4 when was the last time it was working fine?

It is possible that some third-party programs installed on the computer is causing the problem.

I suggest that you put the computer in a clean boot state and check if it helps.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows XP by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

See the link below to learn more about how to clean boot.

Reset the computer to start as usual

When you are finished troubleshooting, follow these steps to reset the computer to start as usual:

    (a) click Start, type msconfig in the search box and press ENTER.

    (b) If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password or click on continue.

    (c) under the general tab, click the Normal startup option, and then click OK.

    (d) when you are prompted to restart the computer, click on restart.

    Hello

    ·        What is the brand and the model of your machine?

    ·        What steps you have tried to solve the problem other that Reinstall USB?

    ·        You did it all change hardware or software on your machine before this problem?

You can contact the manufacturer of your computer to update the chipset drivers and check if the problem persists.

Note: Changing the BIOS / chipset can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the configuration of the BIOS/chipset can be solved. Changes to settings are at your own risk.

  • Laptop suddenly loses the wireless out of sleep mode

I have a HP Pavilion g7 laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.

Last month, it was the loss of connection Wi - Fi & will not return to the top of the standby mode. When I open the screen, the "enlightened" shows power button but the screen remains black and wireless orange shows (f12) instead of the blue button. I can hard down and restart in safe mode to get the screen to the top. So, I have to restart the computer several times to get the wireless to turn back. By pressing the f12 key has nothing to do with it. I have a HP desktop which is perfectly fine - no problems at all.

Nothing has changed regarding the new routers, software or anything like that.

    Welcome to the forum, TM_Cali,

    Consider / try the following:

WiFi disconnects after sleep - Wifi doesn't wake up

IF you use no SHARING, try:

Windows key + X > P (opens the control panel) > icons > network and sharing Center >

Change the adapter settings > right click on your connection > properties >

Scroll down in the Networking tab > uncheck the IPv6 BOX > OK

    OR - a better solution:

    Windows 8:

    Windows key + X > M (opens Device Manager) >

    Windows 7:

Control Panel > display icon value > Device Manager >

    Next...

    Network adapters >

Right-click your wireless adapter > Properties > Power Management >

    Select as appropriate:

Clear the check BOX "Allow the computer to turn off this device...". »
CHECK 'Allow this device out computer' >

    Ok

    Bluetooth:

    Windows key + X > M (opens Device Manager) > Bluetooth >

Right click of your Bluetooth adapter > Properties > Power Management >

    Select as appropriate:

Clear the check BOX "Allow the computer to turn off this device...". »
    Ok

    For laptops:

Pay attention to the warning to leave the device connected wireless and battery operated.  The device consumes little power; However, if you run your battery is very low, it could have an impact.

The 'Ticking' noise is indicative of an HD program.  You can made a brick out of it.  The Message on the selection of the appropriate boot device indicates the tilt of the computer 'See' the HD.

You see the HD in the BIOS when you start?

  • How can I connect my Mac to a network server? As in windows yo go to my computer / connection to a network drive, and then you select a letter and write the name of the server that you want to be logged

I'm trying to adapt Windows to my new MacBook Pro with OS El Capitan.

I work remotely for a company and I want to connect my Mac to the server of the company.

My question is how to connect a MAc to a network drive with the permanently available connection.  For example, in my old HP I went to my computer / connection to a network drive. I've selected a letter and note the name of the server that I wanted to be connected to. The connection was then shown with my other drive hard 'sections '; I want to say C:, D: (for recovery), e: (for tools) and then connecting to the external server has been shown with the selected letter.

There is no "letter" under OS X. It's a hangover very old of BACK, devices of mapping and volumes labeled mailbox.

If you are connected to your corporate network, you should see the available network volumes listed in the Finder, in ' my computer > network ", or with the command K to connect to a server.

You can create an alias for the volume and put it in the Dock, or leave on the desktop or put it somewhere else, and the next time you want to connect to this subject, simply double-click on it. You can also add the server address to your "favourites" in the connect to Server dialog box.

Thank you! I tried what you mentioned, nothing has worked... I plugged a usb keyboard and it works, so I'm starting to believe it could be a motherboard problem. I finally got windows xp pro installed, no conflicts in Device Manager, all the drivers are installed and now running smooth. I removed the keyboard, and re-set, all connections look good, but still not good. the synaptics keyboard works fine and both rt & lft click the buttons. I pulled the ram to inspect it, it's the right speed, ddr2700, and after running for an hour, it was cold to the touch! I'll try to get a new keyboard and replace it, their pretty good work, if still not good it becomes pieces on ebay... lol tx again... Marty
