Selection of the correct workstation problems

Hello

The project consists of a scanner with a device of scanning line of 4096 pixels, operating at a frequency of acquisition of 40 kHz, for which we bought, among other products, a framegraber of the NI PCIe-1433. Inspecting web speed is 10 m / s and the width is 0.9 m.

The main task of the scanner is analysis of the particles and find the dimensions and coordinates of the particles based. The first step will be the binarization, same binary morphology, particle filter and analysis of the particle. If all goes well, we will try to find other types of defects requiring filtering even.

We will develop our application using loops in parallel as well as parallelize all possible tasks, can also be we, we will need to use the pipeline for the tasks of the series, too.

For this application, we decided to use a workstation Dell Precision, but I m in trouble, deciding to work wright station

Mainly, the doubt is the processor is best for these applications. Workstations Dell Precision comes with Intel I3, I5 (dual-core), I7 (up to 4 cores) and Xeon (5600 up to 6 cores). I don't know which one is better and the number of cores will be necessary. I guess that's better hearts less run fast, many cores to work more slowly, I'm wright?

The operating system we intend to use it s Win 7 64 bit.

Also how much RAM you suggest?

Any help will be welcome.

Thank you.

Hello

Finally, we decided to buy a Dell Precition T3500 wich have a quad core Intel Xeon 3, 2 GHz with 6 GB of RAM ECC.

  • Selection of the correct ISDN gateway

    Hi all, I'm new to the vcs, so I'm sorry if the question could be mundane.

    We have a Cluster consisting of 2 vcs - c placed in 2 regional sites differet and one ISDN gateway for each site.

    When we try to set an ip address to isdn call it begins from the bridge of the side where there is the master of vcs, so the question is: How can make us the call out through the right site gw?

    It's the solution that we thought:

    the dial plan is 12xxx for one site and 13xxx to other sites, so a CPL could filter the source alias adding a prefix configured on each ISDN gw of all sites of routing of the call appropriately.

    Are there other ways cleaner to do? Remember that we do not want to change the habit of users, so they should not add the additional prefix.

    Thanks in advance for your answers.

    If you create a cluster, see it as a VCS. You might hit limits if you try to use them to separate areas.

    Dedicated (groups of) vcs in each are the cleanest way.

    Not to mention that, Yes, have a cpl on the source, a local sub area or else that can

    separate endpoints could route your specific sets of endpoints to ISDN specific gws.

    Hello X-x_MaGiC_x-X,

    Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community.

    System restore points are created automatically when the following occur:

    • When you install a new application or driver.
    • When you uninstall or install some programs.
    • When you install new updates
    • Automatically on a daily interval
    • Manually by creating a.
    • If you choose to use system restore to restore to a previous restore point, System Restore creates a new restore point before you restore a previous state in case something goes wrong. If you are restoring to a previous state in Mode without failure, a restore point will create for the current state.

    So that the restoration of the system to work, you must have 300 MB of free space for each hard disk that monitors the system restore. System Restore will also use up to 15% of disk space on each disk that it monitors. That hard disk space runs out, older restore points will be deleted as newer ones. It is also important to note that you must be logged in as an administrator in order to use the system restore. Now that you understand the basics of the system restore, you must continue to the next section to learn how to use it.

    Restore Windows Vista to a previous state

    In the case of a problem on your computer that cannot be solved by normal means, you can restore your computer to a previous working state. To do this, you need to start restoring the system so that you can choose the restore point to restore. If you currently have Windows Vista boot problems, you can use the system restore in Windows recovery environment. Instructions on how to do it in this tutorial can be found: System Restore using the Windows Vista recovery environment.

    If you can connect to Windows Vista, you must follow these steps.

    1. Close and save any documents that you have opened.
    2. Click the Start button to open your Start Menu. The Start button looks like this:
    3. When the Start Menu open click on the menu option all programs.
    4. Click once on the Start Menu Accessories group.
    5. Click once on the System Tools Start Menu group.
    6. Click once on the icon of the system restore. After you click the icon, if a user account control window opens, click on the button continue.

    You will now be on the screen as shown below in Figure 1 system restore. From this screen, you can specify the restore point that you want to restore.

    1 screen of system restore

    By default, Vista will be already selected the restore recommended option. This restore point is one followed a new pilot program, or update has been installed. If you do not want to use this restore point, you can click on the button next to start the restore process. On the other hand, if there is a more recent restore point that you want to restore you should select choose a different restore point and press the next button. This will bring you to a screen, as shown in Figure 2, which contains a list of all available restore points that you can restore.

    2. the list of available restore points

    You must select the restore point that you want to restore, and then press the button next to start the restore process. Vista will display a window showing your selected restore point and asking you to confirm that it is that you want to restore.

    3. confirm the selected restore point

    If you want to select a different restore point, press the Back button. Otherwise, you can press the Cancel button to exit the system restore or the button finish to begin the restore process. If you have selected finish, Vista will display a second prompt asking you to confirm that you want to continue restoring.

    4. second Confirmation

    If you are sure you want to restore, then press the Yes button. Vista will now log you off the computer and start the system restore process, as shown in Figure 5 below.

    5. restoration of a restore point

    When the restore is complete, your computer will be restarted and when Vista starts it backup will be restored to its previous state. When you open a Vista session for the first time after the restore, you will see a message indicating that the restore was successful.

    6. system restore was successful

    If there are problems with your computer because the last restoration, you can return to your previous settings to ebb in the system restore utility and select Undo system restore by pressing the next button.

    7 undo the last system restore

    Your computer should now work correctly again.

    With the help of the restoration of the system in the Windows recovery environment

    Manual creation of Restore Points

    As mentioned previously, it is also possible to create manual restore depending on points. Some popular designs to create manual restore points are when you have your computer configured perfectly and I would save the State in case of problems in the future. To create a manual restore point, you must follow these steps:

    1. Click the Start button to open your Start Menu. The Start button looks like this:
    2. Click on the control panel menu option.
    3. Click the option menu system and Maintenance.
    4. Click on the system menu option.
    5. Click on the System Protection in the list on the left.

    You will now be at the System Protection tab in the system control panel. This tab allows you to enable and disable the system restore as well as making the new manual restore points.

    8. the System Protection tab

    To create a manual restore point, you must click on the button create. When you press this button a prompt asking you to give a title to this manual restore point.

    9. Enter the manual restore point title

    Type a title for the manual restore point and press the button create. Vista will now create a restore point manually and once finished, post a notice that it was created successfully.

    10. Manual restore point has been created

    Now that you have finished doing the manual restore point, you can close the system window.

  • Select multiple choice based on the data control does not not value in the correct form

    Hello, I am using JDeveloper 12.1.2

    I made a choice of several select based on an attribute of the year to a data control and I have a method in my managed bean that retrieves the selected values in the select choice of many, and on the basis that I want to do some queries, but the value that returns the selection is not the value of the attribute is the value of memory (or what is the correct value name..)

    Here is the code:

    < af:selectManyChoice value = "#{bindings." Label AnoList1.inputValue}' = 'Ano '.

    ID = "smc1.

    valueChangeListener = "#{OBIEE_managed_bean.» AnoListSelection}.

    autoSubmit = 'true '.

    < f: validator binding = "#{bindings." AnoList1.validator} "/ >"

    < / af:selectManyChoice >

    Managed bean:

    public void AnoListSelection (ValueChangeEvent valueChangeEvent) {}

    valueChangeEvent.getComponent () .processUpdates (FacesContext.getCurrentInstance ());

    try {}

    System.out.println ("Valor link yearChoice:" + anoListBinding.getValue () m:System.NET.SocketAddress.ToString ());

    ...

    The output is as follows:

    Valor link yearChoice: [Ljava.lang.Object;@4939cade

    Year: Ljava.lang.Object;@7135da60

    This normally happens when the toString is not defined, but how I have to fix this? Someone at - it had the same problem? Any advice?

    Kind regards

    Frederico.

    Hi Frederico

    I'm fine hope you are too.

    Sorry, but you can try

    {for (Object item: (Object []) {valueChangeEvent.getNewValue ())}

    System.out.println (Item.ToString ());

    }

    This should give you something.

    I use a PC and I used LR3. I'm a newcomer to LR, so patient with me! My problem is related to the import function.

    I have a photo library on an external hard drive. I've slowly been import previews of the photos selected from the library in my catalog, adding them during the import process - well. But now, I hit a problem. Another folder in my library contains several subfolders, each containing a number of photos (a mixture of RAW steals (naves) and jpg). I was importing found in my catalog each Subfile in turn, using the Add function, usually of the jpgs only from each Subfile. It works fine, until I reached a particular Subfile. For some reason when I try to import from it and select the secondary file as a Source, only the RAW (NEF) images appear in the preview pane (sorry, forgot the correct term for it!). I know that jpg files are in this auxiliary file on the external hard drive, because when I view its content in Windows, they are all there. But try as I can (choose the file under source, select the folder parent as a source, try to copy or move them, instead of adding them), nothing seems to work. Since they do not appear in the preview pane, I can't import them. It does appear that this a Subfile where the problem exists, but I don't see anything that is different from the others (names of files under all use the same structure - yyyy-mm-dd_custom name, and pictures in all subfolders are adopting the same denomination structure too - yyyy-mm-dd_sequential number_custom name.) NAVE/JPG. So what I am doing wrong? Any ideas please.

    It is possible that the images in this particular subfolder were taken in your camera in RAW + JPEG.  If so, you will need to go to preferences under the general tab and make sure the box "processing JPEG files files next to raw as separate photos" is checked.

    However, assuming that this is the case, there is really no reason to import the JPEG file if you already have the RAW file.

  • Problem with query select when the value is "I" or "II".

    Hello

    I have a select as below,

    Select CLASS_TITLE

    where instr (upper ("CLASS_TITLE"), upper (nvl (DECODE (: P80_CLASS_TITLE, 'ALL', NULL,: P80_CLASS_TITLE), "CLASS_TITLE"))) > 0

    P80_CLASS_TITLE is defined as LOV. When I select "administrative specialist I" in the list, it returns the following.
    E specialist I
    Administrative Specialist II

    But if I select 'Administrative Specialist II', it returns only Administrative Specialist II.

    I only have this problem when there is an 'I' or 'II' in the CLASS_TITLE; Otherwise, it returns the correct values.

    Thanks a lot for your help.

    the mt user says:
    Sorry if I you confused. That's what I want the select statement to make. If I select a class title in the list of values, I want to display the title of the selected class. If I do nothing select in the list of values, then display all class titles in the table which is the default value.

    I assumed that "ALL" is the default value from the LOV. If the above does not work it appears that it must be null. So much more SQL 101:

    select
              t.class_title
    from
              vw_title t
    where
              t.class_title = :p80_class_title
    or        coalesce(:p80_class_title, 'ALL') = 'ALL'

    I'm guessing that you came with all the stuff INSTR/DECODE...

  • using the remote control of the DVD does not select the correct buttons?

    Hey Ya'll,

    Project is almost complete, but I ran into one, which I think is a very simple problem...

    On my main menu, I have a total of 5 buttons on 2 rows.

    Line 1 to 2 buttons and Row 2 has 3 buttons.

    The links are correct, because they work fine in preview mode, using the mouse, but also view the version on the pc using Cyberlink DVD Viewer, once again, using the mouse to select the button.

    The problem is when you use the remote control, either on the copy engraved in the DVD player, or in preview mode, if I use the directional buttons of remote controls, that he does not want to go to the buttons I suppose it must

    (Top row left to right, then down row from left to right)

    On each of the properties of the buttons Panel, I chose the right (I guess) option number (just below name) for each button... IE top left set the right value top of page 1, 2, bottom left 3, the middle value 4 downstairs and down to the right the value 5.

    Type is set to Normal, the button name and Synch text is checked (although the No button is real, each is just a Word text, in photoshop, when I did originally the menu..)

    Also the low middle button never gets selected with the remote control of the DVD... Preview, using the buttons on the remote control, he finally gets selected, but it takes a bit of comes and goes, and the highlighted button is rarely what you would expect, since direction button your pushing.

    #1 button (top left) is set to the default button, which I want, but do not know how I set that, unless it's because it was the first button, I myself made/converted to the button)

    Here, any help would be greatly appreciated... that should finish this project!

    CB

    Cowboy Bob,

    No, what you did with the binder is actually linking these buttons to the assets.

    It shows a Menu with several buttons, icon manually road buttons depressed. Once you choose manually the buttons of road, they can change exactly what will make the remote control.

    As said, when you create a Menu, buttons start at # 1 and progress upward. Each Layer Set button plus up in the Layers Palette. This is the routing of the buttons Auto gets its information and it usually works. However, if you move the buttons around, removes some, etc., the en can get confused, manually their routing is the best way to go.

    Good luck and we hope this helps,

    Hello
    • What mail client do you use?

    It depends on what email client / browser you are using.
    Each browser / email client must have the print properties which should allow the user to adjust the print size.

    Hi all!

    I've just updated Photoshop 2015.5 CC version.

    I am currently working on a design that needs cutting contours.

    So I picked all the areas belonging to the background of the image and then click on the "select and mask" to refine the edges and then clear my selection as I usually did.

    But instead, my selection disappeared...

    My steps were:

    1. Selection of the areas to clear with "themagic wand tool.
    2. Click on 'select and mask' (output parameters: output to the selection).
    3. Click on 'OK'.
    4. Selection has disappeared!

    I have provided all the tools to their default settings, but nothing has changed.

    I tried to close and reopen the case, repeat the steps to delete the background, but I always feel the question.

    It is a big problem for me!

    I hope that there is someone who could help me/us with this!

    I actually asked the new workspace me first thing after update, because I wasn't getting.  It's different enough that you need to learn everywhere, I'm afraid, but it is definitely an improvement when you become familiar with it.  See Julianne Kost guide below, but I suspect that you may need to adjust the sliders that control the opacity of the background.  Or simply click on the transparent part to start the selection.

    That entry of casings do you use on the Yamaha and what you've plugged into them? With the whole level at about 01:00 controls, as Neil suggests, increase the Gain until the red LED on the channel starts flashing. And then put it down a bit so that it no longer lights except very occasionally. You should then see the green signal LED flashes but not the red. You should then have reasonable level in hearing.
