selection of tray accessory ePrint

Hi, I've seen similar issues, but they do not contain the answer I need.

I started using on my new HP OfficeJet Pro X576DW and X476DW printers ePrint (excellent by the way).

And the message prints from my default tray, all attachments always use tray 1. I understand that this bin should be reserved for the photo paper and that's why the default printer this tray when printing images attachments, but I specificially configured printers to have heavy paper and ordinary stores 1 and 2 paper in tray 3. I do not have, nor do I intend to purchase photo paper. Nevertheless, he insists on always printing from Tray 1.

I don't want to disable Tray 1 because I use for printing of labels, but can't see for the life of me how I can stop using Tray 1 for ePrint attachments.

I hope someone is able to help.

Thank you.

I'm sorry but I do not think that you will be able to control that through your ePrint services. Preferences to default status assigned bar made with the various models of printers regardless of personal settings. This is because these parameters are set using the printer on your computer and which is not relayed to the HP ePrint servers. You must keep in mind how ePrint and the limitations of the service during its use. In the future, this feature may be available, but at this time HP has not published information or plans for its implementation.

I hope this information is useful for you!

  • The printer Officejet Pro Premium N911n 8600 performs the selection automatic tray?

I have a printer Officejet Pro N911n, CN577A Pemium 8600 to two trays. My operating system is Win8, 64-bit, there is no error message, no change in System.

The HP Officejet Pro 8600 e - all-in-One series User Guide indicates that by default, support for prints of printer from the Tray1 Tray1.If is empty, the printer draws media from the bac2 (if it is installed and loaded with media. I received a response that there is no method that automatically selects a tray when a drawer is empty. Manual States the user otherwise... This option may not work, but it is part of this series of printers. I have the two charged plates and I will determine if it works after that Tray 1 is empty. • Cannot select 2055dn trays in Snow Leopard

After upgrading to Snow Leopard, my tray 2 is no longer recognized. I called HP and asked if the problems were known and after being transferred around for an hour and a half to technicians of XP and have me do all sorts of checks on my hardware setup printer, finally told me "it must be a problem with the software. I TOLD them that for an hour and a half before, but I've done all of their requests.

At any given time they would send me another printer.

All I wanted to know is if it is a known issue and a fix should be available if it was. They have finally disconnected me.

I read through the forum and have not found anyone else reporting this issue. My printer works fine through the 3 lowest status bar, but I as well need tray 2. Currently I have to share the media constantly for my business.

An expert please confirm that the option to select the trays will be back someday? I undestand a lot have no printer to may all sounds a stupid problem. Believe me it's very serious. I would put even the old OS on if I felt that it could solve the problem.

PS I have connected my Windows Vista 32 bit computer to the printer and the tray works correctly.

    I expect an answer please.

    Thank you

Where it says layout in the print dialog box.  Click on this drop down.  You should see an option for paper feed.   The section of the driver paper feed is provided by Apple and not HP.  If you click on page layout and that you don't see paper as an option, you should contact Apple Support as there is a problem with your printing system base of Mac OS X.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600: OfficeJet Pro ePrint 8600 - cannot select paper tray - HP needs to fix this problem

This is a limitation of the software that HP needs to fix. I bought this machine multifunction largely for two features, ePrint, and two bins to paper. I had released two paper because I often need to print on paper thick and does not want to manually load the cards into the printer whenever I don't want to print on thicker paper. Unfortunately tray 2 is not compatible with card stock so I keep copy regular paper in tray 2 (tray 2 is defined as the default tray) and I keep card stock in Tray 1, which is compatible with cards. The problem and the limitation is when I am traveling and want to use ePrint. Even if my default tray on the printer is 2, which is where the paper is, if I use ePrint to print, HP ePrint by default tray 1, which means that I print on thick paper. This isn't only a problem when you travel. One of the advantages of the ePrint, in theory, is I can print on my desktop at home via ePrint printer when connected to my VPN employers. I've had this machine for two years. It seems that HP would have an update now to solve this problem. So far, nothing. Frustrating!

    Hello @HudsonOH,

Thanks for posting in the forums of HP and welcome.

I understand that you are not able to choose your paper tray of your HP Officejet Pro 8600 Premium e-all-in-one using ePrint. I would like to help with this, as much as I can.

Unfortunately, when you simply send an e-mail to the printer, you cannot change the print settings, because it uses the default settings on the ePrint server.

However, if you have an Android or iOS device, you can download the HP ePrint app. This allows you to add the printer by ePrint e-mail address and send print jobs when you are not with the computer (need you an active wifi or data connection, however). The application also allows to select print settings if you can ensure that you don't waste card stock paper you loaded in the machine.

To download the app on iOS, simply open the app store and type 'HP ePrint' in the search bar.

To download the app on Android, you can open the store game (or game of Google) and search for "HP ePrint.

Once you have installed the application, you can add your printer via his email ePrint:

    1. open the ePrint application and select OK on the demo screens.

    2. Once you reach the home screen, it will show your printer name, or not find printers (depending on whether you are at home with your printer, or on the go). Select this check box.

    3. you will see a tab at the top that says all, select it.

    4. press on the + symbol to add a printer.

    5. Enter your ePrint e-mail address and select Add.

To print using the application, return to the home screen and select an item to print one of the options listed. Note: If you are on iOS, you can even add your e-mail information in the application so that you can print emails.

In addition, you can sign up here for updates on the new firmware and software for your printer, in which case no alternative workaround should arise: stay connected with updates from HP

    I hope this helps!

  • HP Officejet Pro 8630: 8630 HP cannot read the paper size / select correct tray

Installed this new printer after you bought specifically for the two plates that I regularly print on letter & legal size paper.  I am disappointed to see that while I have 'legal' or 'letter', defined as the paper type when I sent something to print from word, the printer just draws in the default tray.  I have no option on my mac to select which paper tray to use when I send something to print.  It seems that the only way I can make the selection of the status bar is to go to the printer and change the default setting of the bins.  It is not at all what I thought I was is & am for the first time, disappointed with a product hp =)

    Hello

Try resetting the printing system and check to see if that can help you:

    * Be aware that reset the printer system will eliminate any existing queue and reset all custom settings driver.

Click on the Apple menu and then click on System Preferences.
    Some Printers & Scanners.
Right click (or Ctrl + click) your product with the Printers list in the left panel and then click on reset printing system.
Click OK to confirm the reset.
Type your user name and password.
Click OK. The printing system resets.

Click on the sign more and add the printer again.

Click the menu drop-down use and select the model of the printer default AirPrint option instead.

    Search for now no difference.

  • must my HP Officejet Pro 8500 first select correct tray based on the size of the documents

The Prime Minister has 8500, two bins for paper, one for 8.5 x 11 and the default tray handles 8.5 x 14.

I need to change the printer settings to get it to use the correct paper tray whenever I want to use 8.5 x 14.

There is a configuration that allows the printer to select the correct tray according to the size of the document sent to the printer?

OK, unfortunately the printer will do that automatically. However, if you go into your printing preferences, you can configure a print shortcut that makes switching back MUCH easier. If you need help on how to do that let me know.

    I hope this helps!

  • When I use my printer allways eprint uses Tray 1. How to use tray 2

    Hello Zippythechimp,

The 8600, you cannot pass the paper by ePrint trays.  ePrint will always print to the default tray on an 8600.  The functionality might become available later, but as much as I know there is no plans for it.  I'm sorry.

When you copy a document the printer automatically selects the Tray 1 (locked) in the default tray in the HP utility settings I put it as accordingly:

(Default) 2 - simple printer paper tray

Printing from word, textedit, and other programs works very well, picking up the regular paper tray dault (tray 2), but only when I copy something it switches on tray 1. I checked all the settings and everything seems to be in tact.

States of settings printer I use AirPrint driver. Could be the problem?

    I could solve the problem.

    (SOLUTION)

On the printer itself when you prepare to copy the article (s) press the settings under the tab button copy.

Select which tray you want to pull the paper from and set parameters by default so that it remains with tray 2.

  • OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium - paper tray automatic selection according to the size of the paper

OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium, Windows 7

How to setup the printer such as when I'm sending a legal document that automatically selects the tray 2 (legal paper in tray 2). Tray 1 is the default, with letter-size paper tray. In 'device settings' Tray 1 is set to letter and tray 2 has the legal value.

    Thank you!

    Greg

    Hi Greg,.

At present, the 8600 does not support this feature of Microsoft. Unfortunately, there is no work around. You must manually select tray 2:

1 Ctrl + p to open the print dialog window.

2 Select the printer of desire and click the preference.

    3. go tab paper/quality, then select "Tray 2" on the decline of the Source of the paper in the menu dropdown.

    See you soon,.

  • 8620 + 2nd plateau: 8620 + 2nd default tray always in Tray 1 even when tray 2 is selected

    Hello

I have a new 8620, so I bought the 2nd set of HP direct.

I use an Imac with OSX El Capitan.

I loaded in all the normal paper bins.

I have put 1 as a defuault tray tray. When I try and print via my text editing software or any other software and I select tray 2 into the presets, it ALWAYS prints from Tray 1. The only way, he goes to tray 2 If Tray 1 is empty.

I have change the default to tray 2 and then select Tray1 to print and it will not print at all.

The software is not acutally allowing me to use as 2 separate trays.

I use 2 documents of standard 8.5 x 11 for my business, but one is for invoices and I need to be able to select different trays.

Also I noticed in the presets when selecting to print from the ADF, it will also not print from there, he pulls from Tray 1 again.

    Thank you

Check the name of the driver that is installed by the printer. Make sure that it shows just the name of the printer.
Click on the Apple menu, click System Preferences. Click on Printers & Scanners, highlight the name of the printer on the left side and right side of the screen it should show the name of the printer. (Officejet 8620)

If the full name of the printer is not correctly, delete and add the printer name back from the list. Click on the sign - to remove the driver and then click on the + sign to add the driver might have to drop-down list to select the name of the printer to add a click.

Please check the settings for the paper trays. The information is provided on page 31 of the manual, Officejet 8620

If the problem persists, try the following:

Fix permissions of the drive on the Mac:

    Close all applications.

In the Apple menu, click OK, click Applications, and then click utilities.

    Double-click disk utility.

Highlight your hard drive / partition on the left.

Click on check and then repair disk permissions.

    Restart the computer...

    Reset the printing system:

Note: This will remove all printers in the print and Fax/Scan, any printer deleted can be re-added later by clicking the sign plus (+) symbol.

Click on the Apple icon and then click on System Preferences.

    Click on Printers & Scanners.

Make a right click (or Ctrl + click) in the left white side panel, and then click Reset printing system.

Click OK to confirm the reset.

Type the name and the correct password.

Click OK to reset the printing system.

Then click on the sign to add the driver, highlight the printer +. (you may need to click the drop down menu to select the name of the printer) Then click the Add button.

  • Cannot select tray 2 copy with Officejet Pro 8600 Premium

    Win 7, 64 bit

    OfficeJet Pro 8600 Premium

I installed the drivers on the disk supplied in the box. (Not sure if there is a new driver or an update yet for this product.)

I bought this printer so that I could load my UPS package labels into a bar of tasks and plain paper in the other.

I loaded the labels into Tray 1 (according to instructions) and paper in tray 2.

I have everything works fine except that I can't understand how to specify tray 2 as the tray to make copies of. In respect of the COPY > SETTINGS > SET SELECT only Tray 1 is displayed.

    Issues related to the:

    (1) why not tray 2 option to copy? How can I fix it? A firmware update maybe?

    (2) printing these UPS labels from tray 2 seems to work very well. Is there a reason why this would be bad?

    Thank you!

Connected by ethernet cable, he downloaded the new version of the firmware (... 1136BR).

That fixed it! Tray 2 is now an option under settings to copy.

The only disappointing is that I asked about a new version of the firmware in my first question... but it took a whole week to get this resolved... and I had little to get to the answer myself!

In any case, now it is fixed and seems to work very well.

  • Select tray 2 as the main tray for all functions

I use the top tray for odd size media and want to set the lower plate (#2) in the Lac main for all functions presented. How this is done on my Officejet Pro 8600 Premium?

    Hello

This can be done in the control panel of the printer and printing software

    To set up the trays

    in your PC

    1. you must select the option Auto tray in the printer software. If the printer is on a network

and you set a default bin, the setting affects all users of the printer.

    On your printer

    1. make sure that the printer is turned on.
    2. tap (right arrow), press Setup, tap preferences and then select default
    Tray or tray Lock.
    3. click on OK or apply after changing settings of the desired tray.

Above measures avaialbe in the manual, please see page 32 in http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c03026243.pdf
