Send e-mail requires 2 trying to send successfully.

I am now on Thunderbird 45.5.1 as of 11/22/16. Recently, when I send an e-mail Message Outbox shows that I am connected to my server outbound.att.net ATT and the mobile continuous progress bar but sends no message. I have to click on the Cancel button. Then I try to send the same message again and it goes without problem. Sometimes an e-mail lights up the first time.

There has been no change in my configuration of messaging.

I think there could be a problem with the servers of ATT.

ATT has two different settings for outgoing mail listed here: https://www.att.com/esupport/article.html#! / dsl-high-speed/KM1010523

In Thunderbird Account Settings, select "outgoing (SMTP) mail and change the setting on the right side." Try both settings ATT suggests. For both, use SSL:

Name of the server: outbound.att.net Port: 465

Server name: smtp.mail.att .net Port: 465 or 587

    IF your account is an IMAP account, try to delete the e-mail on the Mac. Actions sync between devices in IMAP email, so they should be in the Outbox on the server and you should be able to get to them in the Mail from Mac application, use you it, or in a web browser on the server.

    IF this is not possible for some reason, try the mail application to the phone reboots and the closing force force the phone and then try again. Press the Home button twice quickly.     Check for working offline and see if it will delete, or else create a new Outbox and sent items folder.

    Follow these steps for the Outbox, sent items after you move the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create. Just don't touch the problem message so OE will not freeze.

    Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

    In Windows XP, Win2K & Win2K3 the OE user files (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

    With OE closed, find the Outbox.dbx and Sent Items.dbx file and remove them. New files will be created automatically when you open OE.

    To avoid this in the future:

    Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

    1. temporarily disable your antivirus software. See if the problem stops.
    2. your account could be damaged. Delete the account. Re-set up your account.

    I'm trying to set up a home network with a computer that is used as a file server.  I have computers successfully connected in a unique working group and that you can see all of the computers in my 'network', but whenever I try to access another computer or map a drive, I wonder a user name and password.  How can I remove this requirement or solve this problem?

    If your computer is on a workgroup, you have the ability to turn password protection on or off. Disable password protected sharing on the computer that is connected and check if you are always prompted for a password.

    1. open the network and sharing Center by clicking theStart button, clicking Control Panel, click network and Internet, click network and sharing Center.

    ·        Click the arrow next topassword protected sharing, and then click turn off password protected sharing

    2. click onapply.  If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

  • Mail problem in trying to reply to a message in El Capitan

    Since the upgrade to El Capitan, my mail is sometimes a bit unstable. His latest problem is that when I click on reply to an email, an empty message appears and cannot then be closed by clicking on the red button. I have to close Mail and reopen it. I can then close this message, but I find myself with a message in the drafts folder, which should also be deleted. I try to answer again and sometimes the message opens correctly and other times, I get another empty message and must go through the same procedure. If she continues on several occasions, I restart the computer and it works normally. This is a default intermittent and very annoying. I ran the first aid in disk utility and my OS and Mail seem to be the latest versions, so I don't know what could be the cause, or how I could solve it.
