Send Messages to the custom folder

Hello

I need to make a request that can record messages from that specific sender in the specific folder. Is this possible? If yes then how?

I need advice with some snippet or link.

Thank you

I'd appreciate any help you smart people can give me :)

Check your message rules and see if you set up a message rule to shunt the in this folder.  It would be valuable to know what e-mail program, you are using and what version of Windows you have.  It is very difficult to give a useful answer when these information are not known.

  • Cannot send messages from the Outbox

When I try to send I get a message "some problems occurred" I can receive messages O.K.     it the last time I was able to send messages it the duplicated.

You have apparent dbx file corruption.

Spend most of your messages out of the Inbox and then create new folders to send and sent items box after having moved the messages you want to save to a local folder that you create.

Tools | Options | Maintenance | Store folder will reveal the location of your Outlook Express files. Note the location and navigate on it in Explorer Windows or, copy and paste in start | Run.

In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

With OE closed, find the DBX files for the items in the Outbox and sent and delete them.  New ones will be created automatically when you open OE.

After you're done, followed by compacting your folders manually while working * off * and do it often.

Click Outlook Express at the top of the the folder tree so no folders are open. Then: File | Work offline (or double-click on work online in the status bar). File | Folder | Compact all folders. Don't touch anything until the compacting is completed.

    General precautions for Outlook Express:

Do not archive mail in the receipt or sent items box. Create your own user-defined folders and move messages you want to put in them. Empty the deleted items folder daily. Although the dbx files have a theoretical capacity of 2 GB, I recommend all a 300 MB max for less risk of corruption.

Disable analysis in your e-mail anti-virus program. It is a redundant layer of protection that devours the CPUs, slows down sending and receiving and causes a multitude of problems such as time-outs, account setting changes and has even been responsible for the loss of messages. Your up-to-date A / V program will continue to protect you sufficiently. For more information, see:

Why you don't need your anti-virus to scan your email

Note that for some AV programs, it may be necessary to uninstall the program and reinstall in custom Mode and uncheck analysis when the option is the result of e-mail messages.

    Compact often as specified above.

    And backup often.

  • right pointing the orange arrow next to sent the message in the sent folder

I sent an email to my son and myself as well. The message was sent, but it never happened in my Inbox. I always do and my message is well received.

On this occasion, I never received the message. There is a right pointing the orange arrow next to the sent message in the sent folder. I assumed that it was sent, but I didn't get the message in my Inbox.

The message was delivered to the e-mail address of my son?

    What is going on?

    Thank you

  • Unable to send messages after the accident, the solutions proposed did not.

Tuesday (April 7), there was an update to 31.6. Thursday, there was an accident. Since that time cannot send messages. The proposed solutions did not work.

I get the message that the SMTP server does not support the selected authentication.
I tried the solution mentioned. But nothing helped. I configured the server out on the different types and remove the password as shown. After that, I did the configuration with different types of Setup again. No solution.
There is not a possibility of webmail. So I'm stuck now.

There is no problem with incoming messages, they come. This password should be deleted also?

  • When I click "not spam" on a message in the "junk" folder, the content of the message is changed

the message seems to be moved, but the content is changed

Re: when I click "not spam" on a message in the folder "undesirable."
by "did not" I assume you mean 'delete '.
by the "junk" folder, I assume you mean that the folder "Deleted" or "trash".

    I guess you mean:
When I click "not spam" on a message; in the "junk" folder, the content of the message is changed.
Until the message "Deleted" shows in the "Deleted" folder, but seems to have changed the content.

Try to make the folder "Deleted".
Right-click on the "Deleted/trash" folder and select "Properties".
    Click the 'repair file '.
    Click on 'OK '.

How many times you empty the trash?

  • How to make a copy of the sent IMAP messages when the sent folder file cannot be found?

My Thunderbird works fine. I also see messages in the "sent" folder but I wonder are only registered in the IMAP server messages. For the backup application, I would like to copy the file from the "sent" folder but I can't find a local file for this.

In home/me/.thunderbird/44g5fxvp.default/ImapMail/mail. .fi [mymail] I have files
    Archives - 1.sbd
    Archives.MSF
    Deleted messages
    Messages.MSF deleted
    Drafts.MSF
    INBOX
    INBOX.msf
    inbox_old
    inbox_old. MSF
    msgFilterRules.dat
    Sent.MSF
    Templates.MSF
    Trash.MSF
    Trash.SBD

IE Sent.msf exists but is not named file sent. I am looking for a bad place? My Thunderbird settings or preferences are wrong? Is there something obvious that I missed?

What is the most convenient way to make a local copy of the sent messages folder if Thunderbird does not have a local copy of it?

    Information on my system:
    The application databases

    Mail and News accounts
    [...]
account3 mail (imap). [mymail] .fi:993 password smtpa Normal SSL/TLS. true password [mymail] .fi:465 Normal SSL/TLS

Subscribed IMAP folders accounts configured to synchronize and place a copy of the folder on the server in the profile of mail, but this issue is constantly updated to match the server, so if you have new messages then these changes are made to the server folder and the folder on your computer is updated to match the server folder. Or if you delete mail from your copy then it will update the server. Then synchronized files are constantly changed and updated.
Moving while copy/move, it stops the activity on files synchronized and enables offline that get you a copy to anywhere else you want.
Less chance of something going wrong.
then go back to online mode.

I knew that some people have problems with copy/move emails in online mode that are offline.

Easy way to go 'offline and online.
    To go offline:
Click 2 bluescreen icon located in the bottom left of the status bar.

    To go online again:
Click 2 screen black icon located in the bottom left of the status bar.

  • When I send a message, it seems to go OK, but Thunderbird then hangs up trying to copy the message in the sent folder. How do I overcome this?

    A pop-up window headed ' Send Message - Re:...» "reports status as"Copy of record Message. "" "... »

  • Accumulate multiple copies of the same message in the drafts folder. How fix us this behavior?

My wife is the buyer for our company. She will begin an email to a provider at some point in the day and will build on it all day, alternating between enamel and the sites of system and catalogues and supplier of Point of sale (and other unrelated things) until she is satisfied with its agenda, then it will send it offshore. It seems that whenever she leaves the message that she made a copy of it is made in the drafts folder. Her, she'll have a dozen or several copies of the same project accumulating in there. This makes it cluttered and confusing - especially since she often ten different e-mails that she works on all day. (It's a complex world and she is a complex person!) The drafts folder becomes very full.

Normally, if she gets a message that she is working on the composition (a project), he asks if she wants to save it. She said yes, but still, all these earlier copies exist and do not disappear until she removes them manually. It can take a lot of time, and from time to time, she accidentally removes the most recent copy.

There may be a setting that fixes this, but I'm not. From our point of view, something is broken. Curiously, he does not on my system, but doing it on the computer in our store, too. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Summary to reproduce:
    1. start a new email and add text.
    2. go off and do other work.
3 come back and add a little more to it.
    4 make a few loops # 2 then go.
    5. the email without sending output. Click on "save a copy in the drafts.
6 go to the drafts folder and it will have several earlier drafts of the same message.
    7. While manually removing the excess drafts, accidentally delete the newest one.
8 jump up and down, cursing and throwing something to your spouse who has been unable to solve this problem on its own.

In the menu bar, select Tools-Options-Composition-General

Turn off the automatic backup option or set a time you can live with that.

No menu bar? Press the ALT key.

  • Why does one of my email accounts stopped storage of messages in the "sent" folder?

I have an iMac Apple OS x 10.8.5 and Thunderbird 24.5.0. The computer is configured for users of 2 - my wife and myself. I've set up for me with 3 e-mail accounts in Thunderbird, and my wife has 1 e-mail account. We use Thunderbird for several months without any major problems. All of a sudden today Outlook when my wife sent an e-mail via his account (Hotmail), it came with an error message saying that the message could not be sent. I have studied and found (by logging on Outlook) that the message had indeed been sent and showed upward in the Outlook sent folder, but not in the sent folder Thunderbird. After trying several messages test (with the same result), it is obvious that account Thunderbird to my wife is wrong to behave as described above. Then I tried my own account and was able to send emails using my Outlook account (Hotmail) normally. Messages have been saved in the "sent" folder as expected. I tried power off the computer and start again - no change - my installation of Thunderbird as it has done previously, but the installer of my wife no longer works as before.

It would seem therefore that the program itself is ok, but there is something wrong with the installation of my wife.

I have reviewed the content of both of our profile folders using Thunderbird's "Troubleshooting Information" to show each profile folder in the Finder.

When I drill down to the folders 'pop3.live.com', there is a difference between the content of these files. My "pop3.live.com" folder contains the files of document intended for "Drafts", "Inbox", "Sent", "Trash", etc... I can open and inspect the contents of these folders.

According to Finder "pop3.live.com" my wife folder contains Unix executable files rather than document files (they have all the names expected, just not the type of expected file and I can not open and inspect the contents of these folders).

This would explain the behavior described above and if so, how can it be solved? If this isn't the answer, can someone point me in the right direction?

Thanks for the suggestion, Matt. Not long until I received your response, I have found a workaround. Compaction of all cases seems to have resolved.
