  I tested the WebService in Wcftestclient.exe and it works very well.

If this can help, based on a previous post of discussion, I have re-directed the bbconfig to solve a problem where my BB server not detected as "redhatES", but rather just generic "linux".   Mass emailings (more than a few hundred addresses) I use http://www.icontact.com.

  You can build the email through their site (without DW) or you can import your DW html file to their service.

  Some things to keep in mind with the HTML email...

  1. the use of absolute links to the images and files on a server you control

  2. use a limited amount of inline css (no external css or integrated)

  3. specify in table based layouts, css support is spotty at best with email clients

  4. thewill be eliminated a number of email clients don't rely not on what it is between theTags makes to your recipients

  5. do not use an email only to images. HTML text is very important to keep from being labeled as spam, make the secondary images in the message, many email clients will not download images without permission of the user

  6. include a link to unsubscribe so people can get off your list

• How to open an HTML page that is part of my project using Captivate 6

  I'm looking to create an HTML page that uses javascript to extract information from Captivate and then go to the window of the browser in the form of report.

  I can't see how you can open a page Web URL of Captivate (by putting in an address explicit IE www.abc.com or http://www.abc.com/myReport.html)

  but I'm curious to know what address can I use if the html file is in the SAME folder in the index.html file that launches the captivate project (or maybe a folder down)...    I am eager to ensure that this works if I just publish the project to a Web server or not.

  I thought, I could use a relative reference (IE something comme.\myReport.html), but I had no luck so far

  Ad hoc solution to Captivate demigods might provide us with a built-in server.

  Copy the dependencies in the said folder IE: C:\Users\Tom\AppData\Local\Temp\CP2840464090993Session\CPTrustFolder28 40464091009\CaptivatePreviewLoader\) then you will be able to simply F12 it and get an overview of your career. Remember, this is based on a single session of CP. If you close off CP, you lose this feature and need to copy these files in the folder of the new session again.

  The proposed closure should not affect it this way, only closing the application should.

  Hello, I can not view my php files in a web browser when you view files on my localhost. When I hit F12 only a blank browser page. I checked my path for files host local and all seems good. It worked a few days too. Don't know what I did. Help, please!

  Your site doesn't have to be online to check the code.  You can copy & paste into the W3C Validation tools.

  In DW, go to window > results > Validation... Press the green arrow to check your HTML code.

• Making a swf to wait until the rest of the HTML page is ready?

  I have a site with a common SWF embedded at the top of each page and then regurlar HTML graph/text content below it.

  I expect that the SWF file can be a little late for it load the rest of the page would appear almost immediately... and that happens from time to time.

  However, the only thing that I didn't expect and don't understand, is that sometimes the SWF will appear first and even start to play, but the rest of the page does not appear for a second or two, so I find myself with this SWF floating black film.

  Not quite sure what is now the back page, since most graphs are shared and common on every page.  There are a few embedded videos (with frames displays, so they shouldn't take too long to load) on some pages, which are probably the culprits.

  What I do not understand (plus, how to optimize pages), that's why the SWF appears and plays, if there is an item in the table that contains all the content of the page.  I thought that the tables displays only once all that is responsible... So, why the SWF would appear before the other items are ready?  I'm assuming that the other (not common) elements are not finished downloading... Although I am starting to suspect that perhaps that they are, and the delay is something else... like the QT embedded in "initializing" or something?

  Anyway, I don't think there is a solution here, but I will ask...  Is there a way for SWF waiting for the rest of the page to finish doing anything, it is that is causing the delay?

  Strange thing is it's the kind of random...  Sometimes it loads instantly... other times, either the SWF is floating on a black background for a second or two... or the rest of the page appears, and this is the SWF file that is overdue.

  Does anyone have advice, words of wisdom, or pieces of trivia that could be useful here?

  As far as I know, you can't really control how to load an html page.   Things find a route faster than others.  Requests arriving on the server and things delivered by any way they can.  Some things are made in the local cache, so there is always a risk that certain elements are readily available despite their size, and other tiny things get caught up in travel.

  Hi I'm new to DW/FLA, so this may be simple but I can't understand it. I have a swf embedded on my index.html page. It has 4 images on it, and when each image is reversed, it changes. I coded it through Flash successfully. In addition to the reversal, I need to have each image link to a separate html page (home.html, about.html, contact.html, etc.). I tried getURL, but as "home.html" is not www.home.com/home.html, it doesn't seem to work. This site is not live yet so I don't have web URL link to.

  Can anyone help me please with this code. FYI, the SWF is AS2.

  In Flash, you'll need to each image a link to your Web site absolute URL.  Where votre_domaine.fr is the name of your current web site.  And home.html is the default index page required by your host server.

• PIC of links not working in FF but is in IE8 on HTML page

  Hi, I have an Html page that has a bunch of images of small peak on this subject. When you click on one it displays close-ups in the center of the page. For some reason any they all work well in IE8 but not Firefox only works of bottom line. The law on the rest because they have no mouse link does not change to the symbol hand pick. Normally I never have an issue with FF more often its IE.

• Got the update of Firefox and now it hangs / crashes after loading homepage. Have been through the help pages Firefox but no change. Other browsers work well. Help! Best regards, Yuna

  Ive only been a Firefox user for many years now and get automatic updates without problem. But I got an update today, November 14, 2011 Australia and now Firefox crashes / freezes after loading the home page. I changed NOTHING else on my system at all. Other browsers work fine.
