Sending of orders by a terminalwindow in Labview ascii

Hello world. Can you please help me with my question? I need to send ascii commands activated buttons hollow on the frontpanel directly to serialport or better hollow an existing Terminal window made by certain qualified of Labview. I have a lot of orders to send a TI is done manually by typing in ascii characters in terminalwindow and then press ENTER key. I want to make more 'automatically' by pressing the 'preset buttons. Is it possible easly. Please advice me with advice and maybe a Vi, ehh? Thanks for this help Forum.

It is very easy with the structure of the event. You would have just one event for each button to change value.

If you do not have the structure of the event, you will need to query the Boolean value, are looking for a change and have a case statement run based on which button was clicked.

How can I conect the button with the envent case. What is the right way to do

If you don't know how to use the Structure of the event, you should definitely go through some tutorials online (many of which are free).

    Paced self-study for students
Self Paced Training beginner to advanced, required SSP

But in a nutshell, you simply ask a Structure of the event, right-click on it and click on add event cases.  Opens a dialog box that allows you to create a folder for the value of the button change.

  • Send an order via UDP bytes

I hope you'll forgive the newbie question, but my education is in aerospace engineering computer...

I have a verified specification document that tells me that for a source of data to start to transmit control data, I need to send it the following command via UDP:

    Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 / * Style Definitions * / table. MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name: "Table Normal" "; mso-knew-rowband-size: 0; mso-knew-colband-size: 0; mso-style - noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:" ";" mso-padding-alt: 0 to 5.4pt 0 to 5.4pt; mso-para-margin: 0; mso-para-margin-bottom: .0001pt; mso-pagination: widow-orphan; do-size: 10.0pt; do-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language: #0400; mso-fareast-language: #0400; mso-bidi-language: #0400 ;} "}

I think I begin to understand the behavior of bits, bytes and such with LabVIEW.  Kind of confusing without experience in the calculation...

According to the documentation - when you use the boot command - there is no payload data required; It is ignored by the data source.  I guess only for these items remaining after the 4th element are that they are simply placeholders to know the data source it is a completed order, or that the original programmer copied the picture of one of the other orders (requiring the payload data) and those who are just residual values he knew have been ignored and never bothered to remove.  It would be consistent with the just-get-it-done approach favored this programmer.

Thanks for the help.  I think I can interpret the other commands for this data source now.

    See you soon.

  • Order of the blocks in LabVIEW

    Hi all

I am a beginner in LabVIEW. I what is the order of execution of code in block diagram in LabVIEW. It is left to right or from right to left? or y at - it a preference for order as a priority higher than for loops or something like that?

Be a c programmer I think this way. Is it good to compare and understand Labview as well or is it a completely different architecture? Please correct my way to understand things if I'm going in the wrong direction as a beginner. I enclose an example of block diagram, perhaps you can explain with her

LabVIEW does not from left to right, up and down, forward/reverse or any other physical form on the block diagram. LabVIEW is a DATA flow programming language, and it is the movement of data that determines the order of execution. There is a section using LabVIEW called 'data flow programming model' that you should read. In the picture you posted, you will notice screw connected with their error in / mistake the son. These connections are often used to enforce the order of execution. Also, because of its Western heritage, entries are typically placed on the left side of a VI and exits on the left, then you will generally see VI placed from left to right but it's just for readability. If there is no data connection screws separated on the block diagram, they will be run in parallel.

  • How to send the order to T402 Zebra label printer with rs232

    Hello

I use T402 Zebra label printer, communication cable series D9.

I want to send commands to the printer to the printer to print the date and serial number and barcode. How can I use the visa to send commands to the printer?

May be that someone is there to help?

    Thank you

I don't know whether or not the printer you have has a real-time clock. I suspect that it is not. Therefore, you must format the date and time string in your LabVIEW code and just include this string in the label. The printer itself is not capable of producing, tracking and assinging the serial numbers of your Instrument. Your application will need to do and just like the date format of the specific string and put it in the label. I highly recommend that you download the ZPL Manual of www.zebra.com. I would include it here, but it's too big to be included as an attachment.

  • Send and order

If there is not already a way hidden for this with that I would like to see send it backward and forward improved function so that it falls behind or in front of only the objects that the selected object is in contact.

For example: Let's say that I drew a little square and step-and-repeated across and down to make a grid of overlapping squares (say a few hundred) and then I would like to make a big circle among them overlapping squares of the Center 16 or more. However, I want to send to the middle of the game without disturbing the current order squares. If I return, I'll have to order about 100 times to get up when I'm not in these 100 points. Why not simply drag to the bottom of the axis z below the element above with it is in touch and even to advance.

I think it would be a more frequent need to only order an object above and below objects directly in contact with it.

    Does this sound feasible?

It is not very difficult to script. Yes I could do that, but I am at my

ears right now. I have way too many projects that I am in the middle of

  • Can I send an order for recovery of a click in a HTML5 animation?

Hi, I'm starting to move into the production of HTML5 content and try to get my brain around the Javascript API, but striking a bit of a brick wall on something that was hoped would be simple...

What I want to do is: will pause my Captivate slide (using the entry slide action 'pause' on), and then run an animation (created on the edge) with 'click' interactions. At the end of the animation, I want to then UN-pause the Captivate slide/jump to another (automatically or with another click).

From what I've read so far, I have to call ' cpAPIInterface' which will allow me to tell Captivate to play?

So I put a button at the end of my movie, gone put an action on it (on the edge) and I tried many variations of the function without success... the closest I think I worked is "window.cpAPIInterface.play ();" but I have a feeling I'm missing something at the beginning of this...

I used to be able to do this in actionscript with the line in function; 'root.parent.root.rdcmndResume = 1;' but just can't get my brain around the right way to code this in JS based on what I could find online. Any help you can give would be solved a big headache for me and give me a major breakthrough on my current project!

    Thanks in advance...

    Richard

After a long morning of trying different options, I managed to answer my own question!

It's as simple as changing "window." to "parent." in animation on board.

So beachfront animate, add an action to the element which is which is clicked (button {} on the time line items) in the script window choose 'click' and enter your code: "parent.cpAPIInterface.play ();".

Publish the file, add to your captivate project in a slide as HTML (8 Captivate) animation, get an overview of the project and fingers crossed it gets the job done.

  • How can I send orders Series USB mosquit IO card?

I recently bought a Board "Mosquit-IO" of Trossen Robotics:

    http://www.trossenrobotics.com/Mosquit-IO.aspx

He said do anything to control the servos connected to the Board of Directors is to send a command like:

    255 25 42 69 25 42 69 / r

Where the orders are sent to: 19200 baud, 8 bits, no parity, 1 stop bit, with the RTS/CTS handshake enabled.

I'm writing a code to send these commands, but not having not success talking to the Commission.  I'm also just try, using the example of "Basic series write and read" LabVIEW.  I'll even have to unsuccessfully with the example.  According to me, if I can get labview example works, I can get my code works.

When I send commands on the example of the "basic series write and read, the command:

    255 25 42 69 25 42 69 / r

    It turns into:

    255\s42\s69\s25\s42\s69\s25\s/r

but the servos do not move.

    Can anyone help?

    Thank you

    Hello

I think you mix the formats of data here. I guess you shouldn't send the ASCII string "255 25 42 69 25 42 69 / r ' here, but the numbers represent the values of bytes." G. E. the number 255 represents the maximum value of an octet, but if you enter this value into a string and send to your device, you send actually three bytes with values 50 (= the ASCII value of the character '2'), 53 (= ASCII '5') and 53 (= ASCII '5'). / r is the symbol for carriage return, which equals a value of octet 13.

The best way to create your chain of command is to use an array of bytes (U8) and convert it to a string.

The string is not human readable, but it represents the values of bytes of your orders.

    I hope this helps.
