Sending photos by email using Windows Live Mail instead of Outlook

Why is it not possible to use Windows Live Mail instead of Outlook to send photos to the Gallery?

The Gallery is expected to launch a new message in your default e-mail program...

Try the following steps to set up WIndows Live Mail as your default e-mail program.

Open Internet Explorer and go to... Tools / Internet Options / Programs tab...

Open the e-mail drop window and select (highlight)... Windows Live Mail as the
default e-mail program / apply / OK.

Good luck...

  • Why Thunderbird all in my Inbox dump if I check my email on my desktop using Windows Live Mail instead of this laptop?

I don't have a printer connected to this laptop, so I often send emails my PC computer in the basement that has a printer. I use Windows Live Mail on the basement PC and having my main email as a second e-mail address on this computer. Whenever I open my Thunderbird on this laptop after checking email on the basement PC, I find that every email in my Inbox disappeared. IMAP works best in your situation. Then you wouldn't have to worry about transfer of messages from one account to the other.

If you must wear the use of POPS, set your email clients, leave a copy on the server.

You used to be able to do this with OE with Insert. Text file and then designate a htm and then file it will get inserted.  So, if you save the table as a htm file, you might be able to do.  You can also try to copy (of a Web page) and then paste it into the e-mail.

  • Windows live ID:0x800CCC0E, 10060 socket error - impossible to send/receive email using Windows Live Mail

could not send email, now I can't send or receive email.  I contacted my IP to see if it was a problem on their end, and it wasn't. Help, please!

Looks like you are running in a block of 25 port.
As a general rule, the owner of port 25 SMTP server you use must be the same as the entity that provides your Internet connection at the moment. To learn more about this issue, see anti-spam

The workarounds available when sending abroad are the following:

    1. use webmail to send (via your browser).
    2. ask your ISP if they have one port other than '25' for SMTP.
    3. If you use the same connection away from home frequently,
Replace with the SMTP belonging in this regard. It's a bit
difficult, but if you want to go this route, I can provide more details.
    4. If you frequently send to multiple locations, get a free Gmail account,
Configure it to POP access, set up in Windows Mail and use it to
your shipment of household chores. Gmail uses port 465 for SMTP, which is not blocked
    as port 25 is.

  • 0x800CCC0F error code is trying to send an email using Windows Live Mail

Apparently not answered my question, even if it is requested - a lot!  Here once again is:

I can receive but not send mail with Windows Live Mail.  I have a new laptop - less than 1 week, running Windows 7 Home.
I set up my email accounts exactly the same as in Outlook on my old machine.  I have them set up on my phone without problem as well.  Only it does not work with Windows Live Mail.

I have McAfee Firewall and Virus Checker - which I disabled it according to other positions.  Not good, it won't send.  No matter what I do, this is the error:

Your server suddenly put an end to the connection. The possible causes for this include server problems, network problems, or a long period of inactivity.

    Can anyone help?

    1. If you do not include the full error message, no one can help. Reveal your server won't cause problems.
    2. The issue could not have been answered that it is not the right forum for WLMail. Experts are found here.

I have Windows Live Mail on Windows 7. I'm trying to reply to an email, and I want to remove the colored background, but not pass in plain text mode. This was easy to do it on Windows Mail, but I don't see no option anywhere to do this on WLM.

Start with this Port number.   Port 80 is usually reserved for HTTP.    Try the 25.

Unless your host secureserver.net says something, otherwise...

Oh.  They do it?  But no information for WLMail, so you have to adapt...

In particular, I think, note this:

NOTE: "smtpout.secureserver.net" is a relay SMTP server. To use this server to send e-mail messages, you must enable SMTP relay on your e-mail account. Connect to your management page email accounts to set up SMTP relay. If you have not set up SMTP relay and allows it to your Internet Service Provider (ISP), you can use the server of mail from your Internet Service provider. Contact your Internet service provider for this setting.
