  Windows XP handles the issue you describe using separate 'user profiles' for each user of the computer.  The user profiles, which are defined as "limited user" (rather than a "computer administrator) cannot see other users ' documents.

  If you both already use one user profile, you need to move some documents.  This must be done by connecting to a user profile with computer administrator privileges (in order to access the files in the two accounts).

  You must also define an account with computer administrator privileges (save the built-in account named 'Administrator' only for emergency purposes).  Who has access to the computer administrator account will have access to all files on the computer.

  I created a few (TextInput, ComboBox, CheckBox) instances of the component (created as a public objects) in a Document class and added to the scene.

  Now, I created a class customized to a movieclip in the library and instantiated in the class of document (also a public proceeding).

  I think you're overloading the things why don't you just leave your document class adds a TextInput, and your button as his children? Then you can access both of them the class of document with ease.

  Flex is asynchronous, so its always best to use the result event for access to the loaded data.

• Separate network access

  We are a boutique of ESX 3 and I want to test ESX 4.  I want to test to see if what follows is feasible.

  We put this new server up in a laboratory and do not want to connect the server ESX 4 host directly to the internet (too much paperwork :-).  We have installed on a PE2950 III test.  We have added initially to the test of the Internet so that it can get the updates, but now that all this is done, we want to cut the host ESX 4 to the internet completely (we want it to be scope in other local - but not internet network systems).  We wish, however, the test of the virtual computer, which will be part of the test domain (which will be created in a virtual machine), to have access to the internet.  Is this possible?  If so and we get set up which, once we buy the licenses for ESX 4, will we have to cancel this configuration in order to activiate the server (which means that we will have to provide internet connectivity to the host ESX 4 to activate).  And it's normal, our ESX 3 hosts are connected to a server that manages licenses.  I have already installed ESX 4 and the vehicle currently has 35 days left that are for our test.

  What are your thoughts on that?

  For GW and DNS configuration, you can use vSphere client to access your host.

  "And then select your host from inventory, select configuration on the right window, then * DNS and positioning.

  

  

  As far as I KNOW, VMware ESX/ESXi host are like other hosts and machines/systems, as long as they don't address GW and DNS, they can't reach Internet.

  No it isn't, it's load classes as a JAR file. Do not call your .java files JAR, otherwise someone will try to compile them and get a bad surprise. Eventually you even confuse yourself.

  If I have a single loop to generate a waveform and I mean, three other parallel loops to extract the values from this first loop via a FIFO defined by VI, must I place three separate FIFO components 'Write' (essentially by defining three different FIFOs) on the first lap which correspond to the three elements of FIFO 'Read' in each of the three loops accessing data of the first loop?

  The problem with the help of a simple FIFO, is that when a value is read, the value has disappeared.  The other loops will not see this element.  And since it looks you speak too well of FPGA, you would have to worry about arbitration as well.

  You need a different FIFO for each loop that you send.

• Private class data accessible parent in the child's class?

  I thought this would be obvious, but my search thing fails to me.  I hope that someone would be kind enough to answer my question LVOOP of beginner.

  I have a a parent class.  This parent class contains a set of private class data.  I have Setup all the data accessor methods.  I create a child class that has functions that need to access the data stored in its parent category.  His legacy is defined, but when I try to separate data from class all that I can't do are what is configured in the cluster of data of the child class.

  I watched a video and it seemed that the DataSet magically appeared and is accessible via the methods of children.  What Miss me?

  To access the data of the parent in the child's class class, you must use the accessor of reading methods you created for the parent class get the parent class data (you must use the same accessor methods in the methods of the child because all the data of the class is private in LabVIEW). • Several timers loop data acquisition

  Hi all

  I am developing a VI for FPGA Deployment. My equipment consists of a chassis/controller for cRIO-9072 with module 1-9211 thermocouple, card SD-1 module, 3-9215 HAVE modules and universal modules 2-9219. I will collect data of two thermocouples on the 9211, 14 channels on 9215 channels and 6 on 9219 modules. This system communicates to the host via ethernet.

  I have prepared a vi (see attachment), which used two DMA FIFO for writing data to data acquisition at a different speed. I will be sampling the s and 9211 9219 much more slow (500ms by samples), than other channels (40 ch/kech. / s). Currently, my FPGA vi trying only to taste two different modules. When I run the present on the host vi and try to read the data, I get only extracts of the data at different intervals. If either of her would reveal latency with the connection or the host vi failed to refresh quite quickly? I am relatively new to labview, so any help is appreciated. Thank you.

  Hi Guassy,

  There are a few things that you need to change:

  (1) you must separate your acquisition in the FPGA in two separate loops if they have to operate at different speeds.  As it is, probably will run at the slower speed of the two parameters.

  (2) you must do the same in your VI in real time, or set up the DMA readings so that they will be read at the same pace.  For example, suppose that a single module acquires 1000 hz and the other at 200 hz.  If you want to read 100 samples from the first module (so your reading will occur at 1000 hz / 100 samples = 10 hz), you will need to read 20 samples from the slower module, so it is synchronized with the first module.

  (3) your timeouts are too short on your DMA readings.  Your slow acquisition is 500 us.  It will take 50 ms to read 100 samples requested, but the delay is set for 10 ms, so 4 times over 5 playback will return nothing.

  (4) you use graphics and no graphics.  A chart will only show the current data buffer that was written for her.  Refresh rate of the façade is nondeterministic, so that you can't see every update.  If you use a chart, the chart will record all data written on it to the indicated depth (default is 1024 elements).

  Also remember that you can have three FIFOs DMA between the host and the target FPGA, so use them wisely.  It is often easier to perform your purchases on the FPGA at the same pace and send them through the DMA FIFO even in VI in real-time.  If you need a few channels to connect at a lower rate, you can always throw the excess samples (there are some decimate wave screws that are perfect for this).

• Problem with detection of changes in a loop

  I have a NOR-9423 module in a cDAQ chassis (not to mention that of other modules), and it is used for the detection of change for a binary input. That's a little busy, coming from an engine step by step via a digital i/o. I want to enqueu a certain task when the busy bit goes from low to high and another task when it goes from high to low.

  The problem is that my VI everything stops and waits for detection, as the error did not go through.

  If I put a - 1 for the timeout, then of course everything block also, since reading that VI waits indefinitely change.

  So basically, all I have to do is detect a change of edge and put an appropriate task in the queue.

  You must move the "beginning of entry trigger" and the associated logic (enqueue) in a separate loop. This will allow the logic to run its own while you wait for a trigger to start upper.

• Series of reading and DAQ in same While loop

  I have a while loop that has a DAQ reading and a reading series of VISA.

  DAQ readings slow while loop for series com & therefore the iterative nature of the measures to constantly check byte-by-byte (for the full range of the code: 22 bytes) does not work. (it will check 8 bytes, 24,.. etc. because more bytes is collected in a buffer before it can browse new loop.)

  Is it possible to synchronize these two data acquisition devices?

  Data acquisition speed is fast enough, so if there is a way to keep the series bytes in a queue and take only the first 22 bytes for every while loop iteration?

  I recommend having separate loops of data acquisition and reading series.  If you simply connect the latest value, the local variable is great for sending to playback in series to the other loop for logging.

• Reading loop DAQmx only reaches the speed of Communication series

  Hello everyone,

  This is my first post in this Forum. I have a program with 4 loops, 2 separate and 2 connected by a queue. The first loop (see attachment loop PID) runs at maximum speed, the second a (serial communication) works at maximum speed (very slow because of the speed of series).

  To find the error I deleted from the queue to get 4 separate loops. The loop with the calculations (calculate loop) now also runs at the maximum speed, but the analog read loop just past the loop of serial communication speed. On the inside of the Sub - VI is just the configuration for the DAQmx with internal sampling. I have no connection between the loop of serial communication and analog playback loop. Is it possible that the DAQmx is slowed down because of the serial communication? Serial communication also uses a windows DLL.

  I hope you can help me.

  Thank you for your quick response. I found the answer, I guess that: I deleted the Subvi and the use of the DAQmx in the loop directly, it has worked. I think that the Subvi took too long because of the additional options to run at 1 kHz.
