  There are many companies making USB-RS232 adapters that work with LabVIEW using NI-VISA.  The problem is that some cards drivers are not fully compliant with the RS232 specification.

  Another thing to consider is the isolation.  If you are in an industrial environment you wish to an isolated USB-serial adapter.  Personally, I use adapters of NOR and electronics of B and B.  If you search the forums you will find other manufacturers mentioned as well.

  No, you cannot use a DAQ hardware to simulate a serial port.

  I do not have a specific recommendation for a seller, but I've had much better luck with adapters built with a chip from ftdi than others. Google "usb to serial adapter".

  The Zumo works very well with the new card, but does not work my W4. Charge light stays off. USB ports switched to he Zumo and the Iconia W4, but same result. Zumo fresh, but W4 not. Borrowed another power adapter USB, 5V - 2 mines anti-personnel and new Zumo accusations, but the W4 still does not work. Also tried different USB adapter cables, but the same thing; Zumo invoice, W4 does not work.

  Resolved issues. A dark and humid Sunday afternoon back to the store with the Tablet and all the bells and whistles. Changed the card Asus for the original Acer 5V - 2Amps (10W). Took the time to find the Acer adapter in the store. Demonstrated the adapter 2nd with 2 output USB ports and it wouldn't work with the Tablet W4. Tried another and found to be ok. 2 USB ports have a different power, a port for a smartphone and the other port is one tablet. Total power rating of the adapter is 17.5W (5V - 3.5Amps); some 2.5 and 1Amps. A happy man is back home again.

When I connect the computer to my Philips TV via an HDMI cable, after some initial flicker, I see a stable picture on the TV. The problem is that the hard stable image usually less than one minute. This flickering cycle and temporarily stable image is repeated several times until I have finally get an error message on the TV that says "video Format not supported" and the screen turns white.

  The HDMI cable that I use works perfectly with a Sony laptop connected to the TV even. Adapter USB - C has been also updated after I bought it.

  It is not complex. Attach the drive to the adapter and connect it to any other computer with good antivirus and antispyware installed. I use Malwarebytes and Avast. When you connect the adapter with the drive connected to the usb port, the drive will appear and it will be assigned a letter maybe E:\ or F:\ or something else.   Technically it should be. As long as the router is wireless capable, it needs to connect.
