Series blackBerry Smartphones Pearl 8100 - "error backing up databases"

Have uninstalled and reintalled office, software have removed and reinserted the battery, have updated phone and stops each time to the data area of the web browser with "backup of database error."  I'm so frustrated I would like to back up my phone.  Old Pearl works, this one-8110 - not so much.

I called technical support for my service provider (T-mobile) and I described my problem to them.  They walked me through how to delete my browser cache & Facebook, so I now do it on a regular basis.  I had summer through my text messages and delete the ones on a basis regular, with maybe 3 saved max.   Support says that my phone will start automatically remove my text every time messages that my free files is lower to 400,000.  My question is, what am I missing?  What else is eating my free files?  Today, I always had to take the battery out of my phone and it reboot because it says my free files sucked!  When it was done to reboot itself, it had 11 million free files!  What is the problem with this phone?  I have the latest version of the software I can get, which is a version of 4.2 because I said that T-mobile will not support the 4.3 (extremely frustrating because all the cool stuff to download requires 4.3).  I told that I qualify for a new phone without penalty in August... Should I just hard out and switch to a curve?  New models are pearls less buggy?  I really like the Pearl it corresponds very well in my hand and can easily fit in my pocket, but the function is SO much more important than fashion.

    I was browsing a website via google when the page is empty and the above message came. I can access is no longer browsing the internet on my blackberry just got the message.

    I don't know if I'm on track to restart MDS connection service, after looking at the help sections? Only problem is that I have not the slightest idea how to do this.

    Interestingly, I can still access my facebook and ebay apps just won't use google or internet browser.

    Have you recently installed a new application on your device? If you then uninstall or undo the changes that you did before this error appeared on your device. Also, try these steps and see if that helps:

    1 - Save your pocket computer.

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • You expect a registration messages in your Inbox messages.

    2 remove and return your Service book

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Expect an enrollment message arrives in your Inbox for each e-mail address you have.

    3. and then do a restart of battery like that pull while the device is powered on remove your battery wait for a min. then reinsert back

    There is virtually no diagnosis of those - they are the equivalent of random errors in Windows for which trace the root cause is futile. Basically, here's the last out in the programming code - some event occurred for which there is no event handler in the code. The patch is an update of the code that handles the event... but, again, what is the event is almost impossible. So, there are a few things to try:

    Sometimes, the code simply is damaged and needs to be updated - just like a reboot:

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

    There may be a code updated to the value of the carrier - check out them through this Portal:

    The toughest possible causes are a bad application behave. To find it, there are two options. Is to see if you can read the log file:

    Go to the home screen. Hold down the "alt" key and type "lglg". (You won't see anything as you type). This will bring up the log file. Scroll down (probably a lot of pages) until you see a line that says "eception execption. Click on this line. The application name will be in the info.     That's an interesting statement... exactly how did you get that? As in, who did you call? RIM offers zero support to front line for BBs... only via the escalation of a carrier can you receive free support from RIM. You go through your carrier?

    For backup, you get any error message?  Try to remove the BB from USB, to SOME the USB is connected to a REAR USB port... not a front PC port, not a hub or monitor the port. Restart the PC and on the BB, remove the battery and restart the BB.

    Try everything again.

    For the upgrade, as much as possible, can you be more specific? What error do you get?

    Even with the reset. It's actually dead or black for hours at a time?
