Series HP Photosmart Prem C410 - connection problems

I have a printer HP Photosmart C410 series connected via a wireless network to a Sony Viao laptop.

I have regular problems connecting the printer to the PC - I think it started when I updated the PC operating system to Windows (from Windows 8) 8.1 (I think) about six months ago.

Sometimes, the printer works fine. But often it is not. It shows the printer as offline, even if it is on, with the wireless light illuminated. Sometimes, if I reboot the system, it will not work then. But it can take several attempts and is not reliable.

Sometimes, when I go to see what's printing, there is a check mark next to use printer offline. If I remove this tick, documents are printed sometimes then. But sometimes they are not. I can't work out how to set the printer online when everything is apparently turned on and connected. Often when I go to print a document, a window pops up saying: the printer is offline. Sometimes the document print in any case. Sometimes it doesn't.

The scanner function works fine, so I don't think it's as simple as the connection works do not at all. I regularly scan documents and have no problem with that.

I installed HP Print and Scan doctor. Whenever I try to use it, it tells me I have to install the software. I try to install the software, but it doesn't seem to help - and he wants to download the same software next time.

I am extremely frustrated with this situation. I have a relatively new and high-quality printer and a laptop and yet cannot rely on the ability to print things quickly. I searched in the online forums and tried various suggestions here but without success.

I tried to uninstall all previously installing the printer and reinstall it, but that did not help.

Your help will be greatly appreciated!

  • Photosmart Prem C410 all-in-one: our laptop and printer AiO are on the same network, but laptops can 'see' printer

Our two portable Windows 10 both our Photosmart Prem C410 AiO printer are connected to the same network (as evidenced by checking the name of the network of all 3 devices).  We were able to connect between laptops and printer without problem (printing, scanning, etc.).  A blow, or laptop computer can "see" the printer.  I uninstalled and reinstalled the printer on two laptops, but when I enter the IP address of the printer as part of the installation process, I get the error message (on computers) "your printer is not found on your wireless network.  I used the wireless Wizard connect to the printer, restarted the wireless router and restart the two laptops... the IP of the printer stays the same every time and laptops and printers continue to be connected to the same network named.  Help

On the printer's wireless radio was 'on' but I clicked OK anyway.    Disconnected and reconnected to the network and noted the address IP of the printer had changed.  Laptops are now able to see the printer.  Problem is solved.

  • First Photosmart C410: Ink series Photosmart Prem C410 leak

My printer is 5 years old, but so far it has been perfect - never had a problem with it!

Recently, I noticed there is ink in the printer and it seemed to come from the bottom. Further investigation revealed a bunch of ink which sank on the side right under where stop ink cartridges.

I don't know what is the cause, but it's a big mess in there and I don't know if it's interesting trying to clean up. (My fingers are already black cleaning of Office/below!)

I bought another printer but want to keep it too if I can. However, if it's too hard or too expensive so I am probably not worthwhile, especially given the age of the printer.

    Here is a picture:

The area that show you is the 'service station' where little ink is "spit" to keep clear nozzles, usually before, during and after printing.  It is unusual for this area of filling and too full, there are a few things that may cause excess ink in the gas station:

    • With the help of an external power switch.  If the power is off (with a switch output or other external) then more ink is used at startup.  The printer must always be connected to a Plug and switch the printer only used to turn off the printer.
    • Running "cleaning cycles.  Manual cleaning cycles of the Toolbox Panel or printer are rarely necessary.  They use ink and should be avoided except when necessary (almost never).

You may be able to clean the area of station service as follows: remove the print head and set it aside.  Turn the printer off an area that won't have ink.  Use a plastic spoon to remove most of the ink in the service area, making sure not to disturb the wipers. Rinse the service area, warm soapy water would be good for this, maybe a low pressure hose.  Make sure not to get ink on thin coding tape (clear ~1/4"wide band that runs from the width of the printer).  Also avoid ink or too much water in the electronics.  After cleaning, dry the printer by dabbing gently with absorbent paper.  Let dry completely before plugging the printer back in and reinstall the printer print head.

  • Print via Wi - Fi on Photosmart Premium C309 connection problem on an iMac and MacBook Pro

    Hi all

I just bought and installed a Photosmart Premium C309.

I am running the latest Mac OS 10.6.5 on two computers: an IMac and a MacBook Pro.

The printer software installation went well and I was able to print via USB cable.

Then I connected the printer to my wireless network (Modem-Router: Fritz!) Box Fon WLAN), again without problems.

I printed out a page of the control panel the printer network Test and got "no problems found. Congratulations on the successful your printer wireless installation.

But when I tried to print via the wireless network, I continued to get "printer offline".

I have disabled the firewall on the computer but no joy.

Now, I'm unable to print via the USB port that the printer is "offline".

    Help!

    Thank you

Problem solved! It has to do with Hello.

When you set up the printer with the HP installation wizard must install the Hello printer drivers when you are prompted to choose the drivers. Simple.

    Thank you.

  • Photosmart Plus wireless connection problem

I have a wireless Photosmart Plus B209 printer.  It is connected to an I - Mac using USB and works very well.

However, I am trying to connect a MacBook laptop on my Airport Extreme router wireless.  I installed the latest version of the HP software for Snow Leopard OS 10.6 on both computers, but I can't get the MacBook to print via the wireless network.  He keeps insisting on the fact that I connect it via USB.

Does anyone have a solution or suggestion on this?

    Thank you.

OK, let's use the WPS from your printer and your router to get connected.

Start the WPS process from the front panel of your printer. Then:

    Open Apple Airport utility
    Select your wireless router
    Select Manual Configuration
choose Add Wireless Clients... in the menu of the Base Station
Select the first attempt, and then press to continue.
You must begin the process of Apple Add Wireless customer within 2 minutes of starting the printer WPS push button method. In fact, the order doesn't matter... you can start the process of adding on the Apple start router Wireless Clients then method push-button WPS printer.

Your printer will now be connected to your router. Now all you have to do is install the printer in System Preferences, Print & Fax by clicking on the button «+» Find the instance of your printer with "Hello" next to it and click Add. "

You do not have the software now since Snow Leopard as well print & scan drivers built-in. scan from Preview apps or Image Capture. Scan from the front panel of the printer does not work yet.

  • Photosmart Prem C310 install problem, printer is located on the wireless network but don't see iMac

Try to install this printer. It works via USB, but when I get to the step of configuring wireless and you're

said to unplug the USB cable, it gives me the following, not accessible DEVICE... The network configuration has been correctly transferred to the device. However, to continue to configure the network device, your Mac must have access to the device. So please make sure that your Mac has access to the network: "mynetwork" and try again.

The printer is on the network end def (I can ping ok), but the MAC can not see wireless and wont print. I've seen a few threads with similar issues and they suggest wiring the IP address in the printer setup process, but that does not work for me either. Very frustrating, any help would be great

I have a Photosmart Prem C310a connected wireless to an Apple Airport Extreme.  I am trying to print photos from Picasa.  In Picasa, I choose the C310 as printer and set it for 1200 dpi quality.  When I print images are pixelated and very bad quality.  I find anywhere where I can set or change the print quality, as you can do in Windows.  I know the printer is good because I perform the same operation with my Windows 7 laptop and photos very good print quality.  What is the problem with OS X Lion 10.7.1 and the C310?  It did not used to do this, but since the update to Lion quality is shit.  Help, please

    I am running Windows 7 64 bit

I have the HP Toucjhsmart PC 520

Found the solution below listed on another thread...

    Thank you 007OHMSS

The printer driver allows a custom like this size, if so how to do it:

Click Print (in whatever program you use), the print dialog screen should appear. Make sure that the selected printer is the 7000 (in my case the c310a). Click Properties, click the features tab, in the size field, click down, select custom. Then put in the size you want.

Like I said, it's only if the installed printer driver supports this feature. Hope that helps.
