Series of HP Photosmart premium C310 - suddenly stopped working

-Are a week or so, I printed a few pages of Microsoft Word 2010 without a hitch.

-Ten minutes later, I tried to print another Word document. At this point, the printer would not print because of apparent paper Jam.

-, Without a doubt, there was no Paper Jam. I opened all ports the printer is positive, that there is no paper jam. The printer was then restored to its original condition, with all that goes back to his place (I'm positive of it). Whenever I tried to print a document, the LCD screen on the printer came back to the top with the same message "paper jam".

-I was not able to print anything since then.

-The ink levels are adequate / full.

-The only thing I can think of that would have caused the malfunction is, when you print the document last, I did the margins of all sides as small as possible (1.3)

-I am running windows 7 Home Premium on my desk and windows 7 Ultimate on my laptop, which has sharing network to share everything, including the printer. As with the main office, I am also unable to print from my laptop - which has worked without any problems.

-It may help to note that the printer is connected wireless to my main desktop computer. The LCD display on the printer indicates that everything is working properly (wireless is activated, etc.). In addition, the LCD screen on the printer works fine, as it always has. The only problem is I can't make copies, print a test page or print anything at all.

-Currently, the status of the printer shows: need troubleshooting/printer: error. It also tells 'Unavailable'.

As OEM HP is responsible for the good operation of the printer and their
drivers provided. Check with HP support, their documentation online and
drivers and ask in their forums.

You may need to update or reinstall the latest driver.

    I recently bought this printer. I've set up to print wireless. I installed and uninstalled twice b/c after about three times wireless printing, it stops wireless printing. Here is the order of events.

    (1) install the software according to the instructions

    (2) test page wireless printing, that always works

    (3) other printing things the same day wireless (works fine)

    (4) try to print something wireless as 2-3 days later

    (5) it does not. Get message of the staing HP Solution Center which is obvious: Document cannot print (duh). Through troubleshooting (Windows help). It tells me to make sure that it is the default printer (it is) and then check if it is online. It is usually not. So I choose to do the printer online (which is a sub-question, and I'm sure is related to the problem, why it keeps automatically be disconnected?)

    (6) attempt to print

    (7) message appears saying that HP Photosmart C309g-m offline (Solution Center)

    (8) read troubleshooting tips (HP Solution Center), which tells me to connect via USB to print (which annoys me because there is no available solution that tells you how to restore a wireless communication between the router/computer/printer)

    (9) which I did the first time around, but find that when I connect using the USB, it prints well. Any attempt to return to wireless printing is reflected in steps 7 and 8

    (10) check the connection of the application printer wireless network printing. Indicates that the printer is properly connected wireless. I know that my laptop is on the same network b/c that's the only one I have and my internet connection is not interrupted somehow.

    (11) get frustrated, uninstall and reinstall the printer

    Repeat step 2.

    About what you suggest, the IP address remained the same throughout the facilities and absorption.

    So for everyone out there, if this happens to you:

    1) go to your printer

    (2) select the arrow to see the next menu. (it should be on the right side of the LCD screen, it looks like a triangle on the side)

    (3) select Setup--> network--> network wireless assistant

    (4) the printer will start to search for wireless networks

    (5) choose your network (or the network you are using...  It should be the same as your computer/laptop is on)

    (6) if it is password protected, enter the password/password

    (7) your printer will print a network status page.

    (8) your computer should "recognize" the printer on the network itself. Your HP help window can display a large green check mark (it's a good thing!)

    (9) print what you want!

    * Note I guess that you may need to do this each time the printer goes into sleep mode. Its not that boring!

    I saw your post on the printing problem you encounter when you print from your Mac running 10.11, to your printer Photosmart C310. I have a few suggestions below for you. When you are finished, please let me know the result and we can go from there if necessary.

    First try to make copies of the front of the printer, if the work of copies successfully, try these steps below.

  • Photosmart Premium C310: Stopped C310 Photosmart Premium connection

    My HP Photosmart Prem C310 is connected to my wireless very well and has print from my Mac desktop very well until last week. The wireless is fine, that the computer and the printer are on the same netwrok wireless according to the netwrok test report.

    To try to reconnect to the printer, I deleted the system printers and scanners preferences screen. Now, when I try to add the printer, it does not appear in the list under default. I tried also added using the IP address on the wireless network Test report, but get only the message that the computer is "impossible to test the printer on the network" and "cannot connect because of an error."

    I tried to stop the printer and the computer, but nothing works. I am at a loss and extremely frustrated.

    To check the printer hardware is functional, you are able to print a test page, without using the computer? Video: printing a Test Page.

    Printer hp photosmart premium C310 went offline and will not print. Usiing Window 7 64-bit OS. Had no problems until I tried to print the other day and a message came saying printer has been disconnected. I tried printer, computer and router wireless off. And reinstalling the printer software. Now when I try to activate the printer back on it's stuck at the 'initializing' on the printer screen. This process has removed the printer from my computer and now since the printer will feed properly, I can't reinstall it. Help, please. I need my printer ASAP for my college courses.

    With the current of the printer, unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.  Wait 10 minutes and plug it back and check.

I also want to thank you for all the details that the you have included in your original post. Based on this information, I agree with you that this problem is caused by the computer Mac OS X 10.10. Can I please you follow the steps below.

    Step 1: Resetting the printing system:

    To begin, I will have you reset the printing system on your Mac because it is important that we have a pleasure to work with for troubleshooting clean slate. Please click herefor instructions on how to perform the reset. When the site opens, follow the steps under"Reset printing in OS X Lion system." This Reset deletes each printer on your Mac. However, it does not uninstall printers. Therefore, if use you other printers on the Mac, once the reset is complete simply make sure printers are attached via a USB cable or connected network and (+) add hide them po do add not your HP Photosmart back in right now.

    Once the reset is complete, proceed to the next step.

    Step 2: Uninstall the drivers and software:

    Please click here to find out how to properly uninstall your printer. Once the site opens select the drop-down menu 'Mac OS X v10.6, OS X v10.7, OS X v10.8 and OS X v10.9' because they are the same for Mac OS X 10.10 and follow the steps under the second method to complete uninstallation.

    Step 3: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select repair disk permissions

    Step 4: Manually load the driver:

    Step 5: Check the Apple updates: 

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences

    1. click on the menu of Apple , then Preferences System.

    2. click print and scanand check if the name of your printer appears in the printer list.

    3. If your printer is already listed, remove and re-add the printer to check the communication with the Mac. Click on the name of your printer, click the minus sign (), and then delete the printer

    4. click on the plus sign (), click Add a printer or a Scanner, click the name of your printer

    5. click on the area of use or with the help of Print and then select the name of your printer on the shortcut menu. Make sure you have the driver HP Photosmart selected and not the AirPrint.

  • Photosmart Premium c310 will not print from the photo tray. Market power does not work.

    HP Photosmart Premium c310 refuses to print from the photo tray.  I use an iMac.  I shot tray in and out, nothing.  I stoked market, nothing.  Whenever I try to print a photo, it pulls the main tray.  He doesn't even try to pull the photo tray.  And I select in the settings of Photo paper in the photo tray.  Oh, and I have never tried to print before photos.  This is my first time and it won't work.  Printing regular documents from the main tray works fine.   Can someone please help?

    All-in-one printer, HP Photosmart Premium C310 will sometimes go offline, by himself.  I can't answer by touching the screen or turn the printer on or off.  The only way I can get the printer to the top is by unplugging and plugging in.

    We do not have the software 10.8 HP for your printer posted on hp.com and yet, once that happens, you can just download and install. You don't need to do it though, in order to get your printer running on your new Mac.  Simply connect your printer, on the sur le meme same wireless network or via a USB cable, add in printing and fax and let the operating system find and install the software from the Apple software update.  You will be able to the printer and scanning will however be of Image Capture.

    I'm looking in the upgrade the operating system to Windows 8.1 and I ran a software provided by microsoft who checked for compatibility with my system on the laptop.  He said that HP Solution Center was incompatible with Windows 8.1.     I understand you want to upgrade to 8.1 Windows, but this Microsoft application said the "Solution Center was incompatible with Windows 8.1. I will do my best to help you!

    Now, if you're going to upgrade this computer, you must uninstall the software Photosmart Premium C310. The reason why because this printer has drivers compatible full features for Windows 8.1. Please follow these steps in order:

    First of all, you want to remove all the HP Photosmart software in the programs and features on your computer. Please follow this HP document uninstalling the software of the printer. If this printer is connected by a USB cable, remove this computer.

    Then, I recommend you clean your Temp folder. Follow this YouTube video to help you to here. Now you can upgrade the Windows 8.1. Once this is done, please install the full features on the site of HP software here.

  • HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m stopped working with a Macbook, still works with others

    We had this printer wireless printing of 2 Macbooks a running OS X 10.8.2 and another OS x 10.6.8 without any problem for some time when it suddenly stopped working with the old Macbook running 10.6.8.

    When we tried to print anything in that nothing happened, when we open the print queue, there's an exclamation point to the left of the print job and to say an error message something about the levels ink (ink levels were very well as it print to the other Macbook without problem).  We tried the buttons pausing and resuming.  I can't provide exact errors that we had because now that we have tried to reinstall the drivers we get a new series of errors.

    We redownloaded the drivers for OS X 10.6 on HP website and tried to go through the HP setup assistant.  When we arrive at step 'Select printer' and he takes us into the preferences system to add a printer - our printer shows up, but when selected, we get the following error message: some of the software of the printer is missing.  You may not be able to print to "HP Photosmart Plus B209a-m" Please reinstall the printer. software - and of course, we are not able to print.

    We uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers several times without any effect.  The only way that we were able to print off the computer is if printer sharing is enabled on the other Macbook (with OS X 10.8.2).)  Then, it presents itself as a separate printer and can be used by the old Macbook only if the other is on.  This isn't how it was put in place when we had the two work before.

    Any advice would be appreciated.

    What router are you using?  I guess that the 10.8 machine can print correctly?

    Restart your Mac.

    Reset the printing system:

    -Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
    -Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
    WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
    -Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.
