  I have a mini ipad with ios 9.2.1.  I want to choose gmail as my default e-mail account, but the 'default' option does not appear (as it does on my iphone with the same version of ios).  It must be less than the "signature" option in "Mail, Contacts, calendars" in the settings, but it isn't here.  Any suggestion on how to solve this problem?  Thank you.

  You have multiple e-mail accounts set up on your iPad in settings > Mail, Contacts, calendars, and at least two of them were currently "Messaging" enabled on them? I have several active accounts and I had the setting in iOS 9.2.1 (and now 9.3)

• Thunderbird 38.01, when I created a new e-mail account, it does not take account the preferences of archive and records everything in a single folder, although the old accounts work well.

  I installed Thunderbird on a system different and migrated with success profile, but earlier today that Gmail wasn't picking up messages correctly, so I ended up using the new feature of Thunderbird. (I'm also spent POP IMAP for Gmail). The newly created has no trouble picking up the messages from the server, but when I try to archive, he pours everything into one folder.   Sometimes Apple Mail smtp server sends a message when I'm home, sometimes not. Sometimes, I've updated the smtp settings to add a server and change some thing, then Mail wouldn't send when I'm at work.

  I asked CE Office at work, they do not know what is happening and gave me what should be the right settings.

  I'm about two seconds of dumping Apple Mail for good, if I can find another application that's all good.
