Service Pack 1 installed - unable to open some applications

I installed SP 1 and now I have a problem opening to the top of some applications.  One is "Streets & Trips 2009".  If was fine before. Another problem is that I can't download applications (online game).  He asks name/password administrator.  I am the administrator and never changed it. It shows that I am the administrot.  I'm the only one using the computer.  It will not be under my name and my administrator password.  Any suggestions for these two problems?

You can try to right click and "RUN AS ADMIN" or you can try to create a test profile to see if it does the same thing.
If you tried to log on to Windows and received an error message telling you that your user profile is damaged, you can try to fix it. You will need to create a new profile and then copy the files from the existing to the new profile.  http://windowshelp.Microsoft.com/Windows/en-us/help/769495bf-035C-4764-A538-c9b05c22001e1033.mspx

  • Trouble opening some applications

OK, so I've had this problem for a while now, but basically when I try to open some applications on my windows laptop 8 it doesn't let me, as when I click the icon it just immediately closed after opening. Currently it does not open up, photos, player, laptop computer settings and the camera.  If someone could give me advice on how I could solve this problem would be great.

  • Windows Vista Service Pack 2: Service Pack not installed. Restoration of the changes. Turn a computer off

    Hello

I have a year old Acer Aspire 5720 with Microsoft Windows Vista installed on it. Coming back has changed. Do not turn off your computer. "This screen for hours or as long as the computer is turned on. I can't access either safe mode. The computer came with an installation CD. • Vista: Unsuccessful Service Pack 2 install (Error 80070426)

original title: the Service Pack installation failure

I have a HP Pavilion 061 and Vista Home Premium 32-bit running. The following has occurred:

    1. Windows has detected an update, service pack 2. It came out like two years ago, so I don't know why my system just inform me of the update. I did the update. After installation, I couldn't start my computer to run Windows. I could access the screens before starting Windows. I tried a variety of options, but could not do anything for work. SafeMode would note boot Windows. System Restore does not seem to work and start with an earlier version of Windows does not work, even though I'm not a very competent with these options.
    2. I used the 'Windows Vista Home Premium Express Upgrade' original CD. It reinstalled Vista without any service packs or updates.
3 Windows started, but I lost all my old files and programs.
    4. I tried to install Service Pack 1, but it would not be installed successfully. I ran the software to Microsoft for Service Pack 1 upgrade and tried the upgrade. It did not work.
    5. my Control Panel does not open.
    I need help:
    a. install SP1 so I can run the Office 2010 software
    b. to restore files lost, if possible
    c. open my control panel
In my view, that a virus may have caused this. I ran Avast, but nothing is found.

I run Avast, the free version. He will do a 'quick scan' and didn't find any viruses. When I do the "full system scan", it crashes and the computer shuts down.

Or, you see the effects of an infection (perhaps because the computer Vista was online without being fully patched) or the effects of not running the Norton Removal Tool when you should have done.

    In any case...

Otherwise, you will need to format the HARD disk and then perform a new installation of Windows XP.
