Service pack causes problems

I am running Windows XP Home edition on my computer, and I do a lot of video editing.  The problem is when I have service pack 3 installed (or whichever is later) and my camera is connected to the computer I can't capture video from the camera.  Video-editing programs will always recognize the camera is connected and even control the camera, but when I try to save it will not capture any video.  When I Uninstall SP3, it works very well.

The problem is that I have the SP3 (or later version) installed.  I just got a new Windows Phone, and I can't install the Zune program without the latest service pack.

Please someone help!

Thank you!

Are there updates for the 'video editing programs"that will allow him to work properly when SP3 is installed?

You can try to uninstall all "video editing programs' before installing SP3 and then reinstall them after installing SP3.

I installed Service Pack 3 on my Windows XP Home Edition and once the computer restarted I had a black and white screen saying that there is a power failure or something else and I could either start my computer in safe mode, normal, or the last known configuration.  Well, the only way that I even get to the login screen is choosing safe mode. The other choices keep simply by restarting the computer and I to return to the black and white screen.  What can I do?

  • Vista Service Pack install problem

I tried to download the Service Pack for Vista on my computer last night.  It was about to finish when he says that the service pack was not installing step 1 and reverting changes.  It is then preceded to stop.  I get the same message all night! All the answers that I found online, people were able to go to their start menu, but I can't even to this because every time it reboots it says me haven't installed ServicePack and it tells me it stops!  WHAT SHOULD I DO? Help, please!

    Hello Jason,

Thank you for visiting the website of Microsoft Windows Vista Community

If I understand your message, your computer is stuck in a constant fitness market program.

Lets see if we can solve this problem...

Turn off your computer by holding the power button for about 20 seconds.

Start your computer in safe mode: press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears

Disable the automatic restart in the event of system failure:

    • Click Start
    • Click on Control Panel
    • Click on system and Maintenance link.
    • Click on the system link
    • In the left pane, click Advanced system settings
    • Locate the startup and recovery area, click the settings button.
    • In the startup and recovery window, uncheck the box next to automatically restart.
    • Click OK in the startup and recovery window
    • Click OK in the System Properties window
    • Close the system window

After that... While STAYING in safe mode I do a system restore and maybe try a manual install of the update later.

For the sake of space I refer you to the article about how to proceed.

  • Smartphones blackBerry Service Pack download problem

    Hello.

I am trying to display Asian characters in my "BOLD", but I have problems with service packs.

I have problems to download any service pack! I tried the Hong Kong packs and packs of AT & T but my problem is that the download is going really slow, suddenly stops and the file download is incomplete. This is perhaps due to the blackberry Web site?

I tried to download several packages, different suppliers, different days this week, even using different browsers (Firefox, Chrome), but it's not helping.

No idea what's going on? or what to do?

Servers without doubt just slow and/or you are login time-out.

There is no servers spread down that I've heard.

    Keep trying.

  • Vista Service Pack 1 problem

At Office of Acer Aspire with Vista Home Premium that you format via the start menu. Downloaded and installed service pack 1 now the computer will not start. If I press "F12 Boot Menu" I get 2 choices 'Launch Startup Repair', but just solid line to go and nothing happens. Another option is "Start Windows normally" where he moves just thanks to a load of files and then hangs on one and cannot go any further. This computer didn't happen with any recovery disc and even if she did do not have the option to boot from a drive anyway. Totally stuck, do not know how to get out of this mess. Computer works fine until I installed Service Pack 1. Now can not even go as far as from office. HELP PLEASE!

    It won't reinstall Vista.
    This isn't somethingit can do...

At this point, I'd suggest a reinstall of Vista.

If you do not have the recovery/s disk, contact the manufacturer of the computer.
Also, ask them how to use the recovery on your computer Partition, if there is one.

    Hope it works for you.

I want to download Service pack 2, but there is no download availible language that matches the language of my system.

I am currently using Windows Vista Home Premium SP1, and the language of the system is the Dutch

Is the Dutch version, not yet released, (Yes: where is the dl), or he won't be a?

If the last thing is in case then just make one, because I need the service pack to all updates of security and stability, as well as a few new features that might be useful

    Sincerely,

    Hello NelizMastr,

To resolve this problem, use the following methods in the order in which they are presented.

Method 1: Run (Checksur.exe) system update readiness tool

    1.

Download and run the system update readiness tool. This tool runs an ad hoc analysis of inconsistencies that might prevent future maintenance operations.

  • Disqualification - data on clients of the Service Pack; Installation problem

    Hello

I managed to download and get the CD pack.

I can see the projects in realization. But when I try the kickoff of the HAND - initialize data reference job I get the error "an error occurred creating parameters of working language [A] initialize: cannot load the process [A] initialization of the language settings (Code: 207, 103)"»

I tried to perform the work within the Director and also in the Console of the server with the same message

    Any help much appreciated.

    Concerning

    SARB

    Hi Mike,.

You probably have not imported the dxi fully. Did you get errors when importing the project? Have you extracted config.zip provided in the distribution on the existing config directory? If this isn't the case, then it will miss the widgets and gadgets.

Also, if you want the off-field box settings language then you don't need to use the Initialize project.

    Kind regards

    • Windows Update service pack 2 Setup.

    * Title *.
After installing service pack 2 the drive that contains the windows began to have insufficient disk space, next before installing it he had about 8 GB of free space, what is the problem?

    Hi Ayman Jean-Claude,

    1. you are running Windows vista on the computer?

    2. how much free disk space you have after install vista sp2?

There is a possiblity that the Windows vista sp2 installation files are always available on the computer that occupies disk space.

Free space on the disk can be stored by running the disk cleanup on the pilot tool and check.

    1. open Disk Cleanup by clicking the Start button, all programs, Accessories, clicking System Tools, and then click Disk Cleanup.

    2. in the Disk Cleanup Options dialog box, choose whether you want to clean your own files only or all files on the computer. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

    3. If the Disk Cleanup: drive selection dialog box appears, select the hard disk you want to clean, and then click OK.

    4. click the Disk Cleanup tab and select the check boxes for files that you want to remove.

    5. When you have finished select the files that you want to remove, click OK, and then click delete files to confirm the operation. Disk Cleanup on delete all unnecessary files from your computer.

    Hi Courtney,

    ·         Are you referring to Data Execution Prevention (DEP)?

If so, check if turn off DEP support. To do this, follow these steps.

    a. click Start, click run, type sysdm.cpland then click OK.

    b. on the tab Advanced , under performance, click settings.

    c. on the Data Execution Prevention tab, use one of the following procedures:

    ·         Select the check box next to the program that you want to turn off DEP for and then click OK.

    ·         If the program is not in the list, click Add. Navigate to the folder Program Files , search for the executable file of the program (it will have the .exe extension) and then click Open.

For more information on DEP, see the following article.

A detailed description of the feature Data Execution Prevention (DEP) in Windows XP Service Pack 2, Microsoft Windows XP Tablet PC Edition 2005, and Windows Server 2003
