Service print spooler finished unexpectedly. He did this 3 times.

I was not able to use printers for a week.  Reset is not help or start the services of spooling print.

Hello

Uninstall your current printing software, restart and then download a new set of software driver from the device manufacturer's website and install it. If you have adobe reader installed, you can also update to the latest version.

Original title: print spooler does not - error 1053 - Windows 7

I have a HP Pavilion dv4-511 with Windows 7.  2 weeks ago I ran a Windows Update and all my printers installed have disappeared after a reboot.  I did a system restore and they were all back.  Yesterday, I installed an update to a software (Soonr) and it's the same thing.  I clicked on the print spooler service to see if I was able to restart and got the error 1053 saying "service did not respond to demand launch or control in a timely." If I click on "Add a printer" in the menu devices and printers, I get the following message: "Windows can't open add printer."  The local print spooler service is not running.  Please restart the spooler or restart the machine. "I rebooted the computer and the same thing continues to happen.  I did a system restore and the printers are all back.  It seems that every time there is a change to any software, it creates this problem.  Help, please! Thank you.

    Hello

    Welcome to the Microsoft community!

When the updates are installed, the printers will be lost and when you try to start the print spooler service, you get the service saying error 1053 has failed to demand launch or timely control.

The problem may occur if some system files are corrupted or because of malicious content.

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned below:

Method 1: File system (CFS) Scan Checker

SFC scan will find all missing or incorrect system files and repairs them.

    See the site:

How to use the System File Checker tool to fix the system files missing or corrupted on Windows Vista or Windows 7

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/929833

Method 2: Scan the computer to remove all possible malicious content

    See the site:

    Microsoft safety scanner

    http://www.Microsoft.com/security/scanner/en-us/default.aspx .

Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

  • problem of CPP to 7031 error print spooler

I have a DELL client computer that has a virus.   After virus cleaning and installation of Norton 2012, I worked all the problems left by the virus and anything but get his printer Dell 942 AIO work fixed.  It has disappeared from the list of printers and will not allow it to be added or reinstalled.  The error we get in case list is error 7031 "the print spooler finished unexpectedly", the version of the file 'netevent.dll"5.1.2600.0.  I've updated, netevent.dll, spoolss.dll and spoolsv.exe to a system that works with the same Windows XP Home edition.   That has not changed the error.  I then updated the files extracted from the installation CD.  That has not changed the error.  I get no response to your research on error 7031 on sites I have, and that includes Microsoft.   Everyone knows this error?  Thank you.

When you say 'it has disappeared from the list of printers' do you mean that the printers and fax machines is empty or there are other printers listed, but not the Dell 942?

If the print spooler service is stopped, printers and fax machines will be empty and you will not be able to add a printer.

If this is your situation, and given that it's a Dell, which is often a rebranded Lexmark, have you looked at the print spooler service dependencies (start > run > services.msc > OK)?  Lexmark printers make the print on the LexBce service spooler, and if this file is corrupt, the print spooler does not work.

The fix for the situation described above is to restore the default print spooler dependency as follows:

Open a command prompt window (start > run > cmd > OK) and enter the following command:

dependent on the spooler of sc config = RPCSS

There is no space before the = but there is a space after it.

If the above Gets the print spooler began, then remove and reinstall the driver for the Dell 942 as shown here--> in its first Article.  Don't skip step 4.

  • print spooler is missing Windows xp services

Hi my daughter using a fujitsu siemens laptop running windows xp edition version 2002 service pack 3 family. We have tried to install 2 different printers, but always get says print spooler does not. I checked in the service and there is nothing indicated for printers or print spooler. I looked in c\windows 32 and there are 2 files of coil it but I do not know what to so that it reappears in the services and I can turn it on. can anyone help please?

Man that's great, as I must have contracted a virus that deleted my services print spooler. Made exactly as stated in the information and then rebooted and it works perfectly now. Really appreciate the help!

While it is definitely a good read, none of these links seem to tell you how to add the lack of Print Spooler Service and the Microsoft link certainly not will help you add the Service lacks and is a waste of time.

The Print Spooler Service missing Services, you must add it (how do you suppose that happened?).

I don't have XP Home Edition, but this method works on XP Pro and I do not see why it would be different.

Here's how to add the Print Spooler Service:

If your system is Windows XP Service Pack 3, you can add the Service of print spooler missing to your system by using a registry import.

Before making any changes to your registry, back up the registry with this free and popular tool:
    http://www.SnapFiles.com/get/ERUNT.html

Reinstall the missing Print Spooler Service by creating a registry file that you can import into your system (tested on Service Pack 3).

If you already have a registry entry for the Print Spooler Service, you can export it to a file and save it.  The following example is the code of a working XP Pro Service Pack 3 system generic registry.

Open notepad to create a new text file by clicking Start, run and enter in the box:

    notebook

Copy and paste the following lines of text into the new Notepad file:

Save the new text file with extension .reg to your desktop or a folder with a name you can remember, something like:

    addspooler.reg

After you save the file, close Notepad.

Locate the file addspooler.reg on your desktop and double-click it.

Alternatively, you can right-click on the addspooler.reg file, choose open with... and select the registry editor which will then import the file.

Answer Yes to the following question: are you sure you want to add the information in the registry?

You should then see a message that information has been registered in the register.

I would restart at this stage to ensure that updates "stick."

Now you should see the Print Spooler Service and you can right click, choose Properties and (if she isn't already) set the startup type to automatic and start the service if it is not running after reboot.

Sine the Print Spooler Service should not be missed, I suggest you follow with this (or first):

Download, install, update and do a full scan with these free malware detection programs:
    Malwarebytes (MMFA): http://malwarebytes.org/
    SUPERAntiSpyware: (SAS): http://www.superantispyware.com/
They can be uninstalled later if you wish.

  • error "local printer spooler service does not work." any attempt to add a local printer (USB or Bluetooth) fails.

I can't add a printer (USB or Bluetooth), because it always returns a printer spooler error. I tried to restart the print spooler and by ensuring that this "local system account" and "allow service to interact with desktop" is selected. I also deleted all the old printer drivers, rebooted, checked the RPC Locator is active and tried everything I can think of. It worked well in Vista x 64 on the same machine later than yesterday, but the upgrade to Windows 7 x 64 seems to have something broken. The printer, a HP C5500 series, works very well on a virtual machine that is running the same operating system. (I rather not have to run a virtual machine just to print, of course.) Running RTM x 64 on a Dell XPS M1530, which very well printed Vista, just before upgrading, to Win7. Suggestions?

FINALLY, I SOLVED THE PROBLEM! Probably, this will not help too other people unless they too, are start several operating systems and VMware Tools running, but I figured out how to fix it on my system without having to reinstall Windows. In fact, it was caused by an instance of VMware Tools. I removed, rebooted and voila - I was able to print again. In an effort to help a few other people, here is a summary of the things I've tried while working through the countless possibilities. If you are having problems "print spooler cannot start", one of these might help.

    (1) after having in vain attempted to restart the print spooler service and by checking all its dependencies, I deleted all the registry entries and drivers as detailed here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/324757.
    (2) I rebooted in safe mode and check the C:\Windows\System32\spool\ folder for all the corrupted files or remnants of coil.
    (3) I moved all the drivers printer in C:\Windows\System32\spool\x64 (or \w32x86 if you are using a 32-bit operating system) to a temporary folder. While examining the dll, I became suspicious of some "ThinPrint" drivers by VMware.
    (4) I tried to replace with a known good copy spoolsv.exe. (To do this, you need to take ownership of the file. Search engines are your friend.)
    (5) I tried to use RegEdit to reconfigure the default http RPCSS indicated in the "DependOnService" value This and all the other steps I mention in this list, are described in great detail in the links provided in my Nov 11 message.
    (6) I tried system restore back as far as possible - who had the positive effect of the side to undo these unsuccessful efforts in this case. Unfortunately, the problem persisted, due to the limited number of available on my system restore points.
    (7) following up on top of my suspicion earlier, I removed VMware Workstation and restarted. The problem persisted after a reboot.
    (8) I then started in the other OS on my system and removed the VMware tools he had installed on my boot drive, then restarted.

Bingo! Printers reappeared and everything worked properly. Then, I was able to reinstall VMware Workstation without breaking anything. Phew!
