Session limit automatic VoIP

According to the release notes for the 3.3.5.5 firmware for our PowerConnect 6248 switch that we have connected to the desks of employees injected 6xxx Aastra power phones IP, "there is a limit of 16 Auto VOIP sessions."

Does that mean I can have 16 VoIP sessions at most and that the VoIP 17 phone unit will not tag VLAN voice spread on the port, nor have the CoS applied for traffic from the 17th phone?

Also, for a PowerConnect 5448 running 2.0.0.46, is there such a restriction of Auto VOIP sessions? The release notes do not indicate to it.

That should work, if auto VoIP is not activated should not hit the limit.

  • Backup server AnyConnect when Session limit reach

    Hello

    I did the usual search engine and forum crawl looking for the answer, but can't find anything definitive.

    Is it possible for AnyConnect use the backup server defined in the connection profile when the session limit is reached on a SAA?  Basically if I hit the limit of 250 on my ASA 5510 in zone A, it will try the backup server that ASA is defined in the connection profile which is in region B?

    What I've read, the backup server comes into play when the AnyConnect client cannot connect, but in this scenario, it will connect but get an error message.

    Any input appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Unfortunately, I think that the answer is no unless she changed in recent versions.  I asked this of Cisco for more than a year.  We have the same problem... when anyconnect hits a bridge but cannot connect because of all sorts of reasons, no IP address remains in the IP local pool, no licenses, failure DAP, etc., he never tries gateways following in the list.  It is ONLY when the door is completely unavailable will continue to backup from the list.  I hope more people chime for Cisco can finally fix this.

  • Desktop session closes automatically, Windows 7

    Hello

    I use a cell phone company. It has worked very well for me. But recently a few changes have been made by the company and changes have been pushed the system connected to the environment remotely. They said the new policy an idle computer will lock automatically after 15 minutes and we will be required to change the password every 90 days.

    My system now automatically locks after 1 minute, which is really annoying :-(

    I talked to tech support and they said it was a global rule all systems gets locked after 15 minutes, which does not happen for me. Can we please Adviser on that or advise a solution for this problem. I use a Windows 7.

    Thank you.

    There are 3 places to check timeout settings (don't get started me...).  Probably one of them should just be changed:

    1. Right-click on the desktop > personalize > screen saver
      Even if you do not use a screensaver, this timer value is used to lock the screen.  The 'none' value and make sure that the check box is disabled.
    2. Power options > Change when turn off the display

    3. Power options > change when the computer sleeps
  • Idle sessions are automatically generated in the database

    I am facing a strange problem to get the very large number of idle sessions generated th the database server which leads to closing of connection is.
    The error reads as "Failed to check-out a demand account held the failure of connection of the Application Module.»
    This happens whenever I execute the following code:

    String amDefName = "amendprgo.model.CSDInvFRCAmendPrgoServices";
    String configName = "CSDInvFRCAmendPrgoServicesLocal";
    ApplicationModule App1 = Configuration.createRootApplicationModule (amDefName, configName);
    String voInstanceName = "prgoHdrRO";
    ViewObject prgoHdrROVO = app1.createViewObjectFromQueryStmt (voInstanceName, "select * from INV_PRGO_HDR");
    prgoHdrROVO.setWhereClause ("PRGO_ID =" + tempRow.getAttribute ("PrgoId") +' and DEPOT_CD = '0' and ITEM_CAT = 'I3' ");
    prgoHdrROVO.executeQuery ();
    If (prgoHdrROVO.getEstimatedRowCount () > 0) {}
    Returns true;

    I know there is a process of creating a connection and the View object in part of model in JDeveloper, but I want to know why this problem occurs.

    As I said before

    Configuration.releaseRootApplicationModule(app1 , true);

    My advice is to read the links I gave you!

  • User session limit has been exceeded?

    I just started the free trial today and play with it. I invited someone to test the process to enter the meeting. They have tried to enter as a guest and received notice that the maximum number of users had been exceeded. I was the only other person at the meeting. Help, please.

    Free trials are "solutionized" now. So rather than get all features in connect, you get the features that apply to what you are looking for. I venture a guess that you have a trial for virtual classrooms or webinars. When you perform this meetings must be enable for these tools to work, but they only have the possibility of having 1 concurrent user (aka, you). You will need to create an instance on the training or seminars, according to what trial, tab you have and then use it.

  • How to limit maximum SSL VPN sessions by group policy on ASA5510?

    How to limit maximum SSL VPN sessions by group policy on ASA5510?

    There are ideas?

    There are 2-Group Policy: within a maximum of 10 connections, in the second - 15 (total licenses for SSL VPN 25 connections).

    Hi Anton,.

    It is an interesting question.

    Please check the following options, depending on your scenario:

    simultaneous VPN connections

    Pour configurer configure the number of simultaneous connections allowed for a user, use the command simultaneous vpn connections in the configuration of group policy or username configuration mode. To remove the attribute from the running configuration, don't use No form of this command. This option allows inheritance of a value from another group policy. Enter 0 to disable the connection and prevent the access of the user.

    simultaneous vpn connections {integer}

    No vpn - connections

    http://www.Cisco.com/en/us/docs/security/ASA/asa84/command/reference/uz.html#wp1664777

    There is a global command, although may not be useful, I wanted to share it with you:

    VPN-sessiondb max-session-limit

    --> To specify the maximum limit of VPN session.

    Best option:

    What you can do is to create a pool of IP 10 IP addresses in one and 15 in the other, this way you let only 10 connections and 15 respectively.

    IP local pool only_10 192.168.1.1 - 192.168.1.10

    IP local pool only_15 192.168.2.1 - 192.168.1.15

    Then,

    attributes of the strategy of group only_10

    the address value only_10 pools

    !

    attributes of the strategy of group only_20

    the address value only_20 pools

  • Limit the time of the session

    Friends,

    In my oracle 10g database, the server process limit is 400 and session limit is 445.

    Look at the result of resource_limit $ next v:

    RESOURCE_NAME CURRENT_UTILIZATION MAX_UTILIZATION INITIAL_AL LIMIT_VALU

    the process | 399. 400. 400. 400
    sessions | 406 | 408. 445. 445

    Now the problem is, in my database, more than 100 users are added in the last week and for this reason, my database process crosses its limit (400). In this case, when a user tries to connect and then it gets error:

    "SQL > conn user@PROD".
    Enter the password:
    ERROR:
    "ORA-12537: TNS:connection closed.

    Right now, I don't want to increase the value of process and wanting to find the session that are idle for the last 10 minutes. Is there a setting in oracle that allows to discover the idle session?

    Also, I want to disconnect users who are INACTIVE for 10 + minutes. How can I restrict it without using any profile and also not to increase the value of process $ v?

    Waiting for response....

    Try with the default profile

    SQL> select resource_name,limit
      2    from dba_profiles
      3   where profile='DEFAULT' and resource_name='IDLE_TIME'
      4  /

    RESOURCE_NAME                    LIMIT
    -------------------------------- ----------------------------------------
    IDLE_TIME                        UNLIMITED

    SQL> alter profile default limit idle_time 2
      2  /

    Profile altered.

    SQL> select resource_name,limit
      2    from dba_profiles
      3   where profile='DEFAULT' and resource_name='IDLE_TIME'

  • Catch the event Web Service Session Timeout

    Hi all

    I have a LV Web Service communicate to a web client (Chrome, IE, FF, etc.).  The user connects to the server and create a new session for him to help create Session VI.  One of the entrances to this function is a timeout value (default 60000ms).  The sessions behavior is such that if the user does not activate an application for web service (GET/POST/PUT/etc) within the time limit, then the session is automatically destroyed by the web service.  That's what I want, it's fantastic.

    My question is How can I detect when the session timeout happens? Another way to say, How can I detect when the user session is automatically destroyed?

    What I tried:

    • Of course, I can provide a "logout" link to the user calling ultimately "Destroy Session" VI, but I can't count on the user actually click this link (e.g. you really explicitly sign out of gmail or simply close your web browser?)
    • I thought that the only way to proceed would be to save the cookie of session ID returned by create Session VI and then query this ID to see if the session still exists (check if Session exists VI).  If the session does not exist, well, I know it has expired or the user manually destroyed it.  However, even if I save the cookie ID, I don't see where I can actually use it any where (especially not check if Session is VI). It just seems no value given to the range of sessions.

    Is this possible?

    Thank you

    Rory

    Sorry, Thomas, but that isn't going to work.  Think about it - you do not request a web service during the time-out period. You get ONLY a web service request when the client actually asked something.  The customer does not have during a timeout; It's just times out... so, there is no node on the block diagram to check because there is no block diagram... get it?

    No worries, however, I found the solution [read: workaround], even if the LV can do it (from 2013sp1).

    The best way to detect if a user session times out / out times would be for LV to this exhibit as an event in the web service. The following approach would be for LV accepts a cookie as an entry ID and then provides information on this session (i.e. the session exists).  I have a smell of two feature requests...

    But because BT cannot do these things (or not exposed to the developer), you will need to get creative on the client side.  Since I'm on Javascript/jQuery/AJAX on my front end, then it is possible for me to detect when the customer leaves the page or close the browser.  It comes to $(window) .unload () in jQuery.  Then, I can take this event and an asynchronous AJAX command of fire to one of my web service VI that will eventually call the "destroy Session" VI.

    For more information see the site here:

    http://lavag.org/topic/18490-catch-session-timeout-events-in-LV-Web-service/

    Hope this helps someone.

  • Duration of the session for users

    Hello all-

    If a user is connected to the Essbase database through the spreadsheet. How can I control their time of connection with the database. Many users will connect using the spreadsheet and do not disconnect sessions and I can see connected to the sessions. Is

    It there a way where in I can limit the time that they are linked to databases and are automatically disconnected. My guess is not sure that, if a user disconnect its meetings continues to be connected to the database / don't know

    What happens if the user closes the spreadsheet without disconnecting?

    Thank you!

    Hello

    You can set session parameters in environmental assessments or via maxl (some of them could if applies not in essbase uses the security of shared services)

    Reading of: -.
    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E10530_01/doc/EPM.931/html_esb_techref/MAXL/DDL/statements/Altsys.htm

    Set session_idle_limit
    Set the interval of time allowed for a session to be idle before Essbase server disconnects the user. The minimum limit that you can set is five minutes (300 seconds). When the idle session limit is set to none, all users can stay connected until the Essbase server is stopped. The default limit is 60 minutes.

    You can also logout sessions using EAS or maxl there is a list of the different options in the link above.

  • How can I disable restore previous Session?

    Hello, my parents just bought a new computer and I'm helping them to implement. Now their biggest concern is that when Firefox closes and is reopened, the last session is automatically restored. They are concerned about privacy in the cases to which they are connected shopping or on their email.

    I use Windows 8.1 and Firefox 33.0.2

    Firefox is currently active in the options "Show my home page" when it starts. I found this link
    https://support.Mozilla.org/en-us/questions/975670 and followed the instructions, including the
    Browser.sessionstore.resume_from_crash. in the config files to false, but I still had no luck. A search shows that I do not have a "user.js" file in the Firefox profile that could be the cause of the problem, so that the solution does not work for me.

    I also used this page http://kb.mozillazine.org/Browser.sessionstore.enabled to check my "browser.startup.page", and it is currently set at 1 "show my home page".

    I am running out of ideas and would appreciate any help anyone could offer.

    Thank you!

    You can check if you have a user.js file in the Firefox profile folder that affects the pref browser.sessionstore.resume_session_once true value.

    Your list of details of the system shows that you have a user.js file in the profile folder to initialize prefs each time you start Firefox.

    The user.js file is present than if you or another software has created this file and normally it wouldn't be here.
    You can check its contents with a text editor (right click: open with) If you do not create this file yourself.

    The user.js file is read whenever Firefox is started and initializes the preferences to the specified value in this file, so the preferences set via user.js can be changed temporarily for the current session.
    You can remove the user.js file.

  • Active session on the database

    Hi all

    again, I have a question, this time about the rules and alarms.

    I found the rule on the total Session limit... This rule indicates the percentage of the database connection.

    My question is... where is the applicable rule for the number or percentage of Session Active, because it is active and Total Session are not the same thing. I use Oracle cartridge 5.7.5.2

    Maybe someone knows how to create the rule for number of Session Active, because this number is obviously on the dashboard.

    Thank you

    Nikola

    Hi Nicola,

    You can certainly implement such a custom rule because relevant data are already available in Foglight topology.

    You can create a custom rule using the topology summary of the session:

    Relevant metrics that are located under the path /clusters/ [instance X] /sessions_summary_data/ topology

    • active_sessions
    • active_sessions_pct

    If you don't know how to create a custom rule, please contact your account manager, Foglight and it will direct you to the relevant PSO object that it can create for you.

  • PIX 520 running 6.2 (1); SSH session limited exceeded; cannot reconnect

    Twice now, one of my PIX 520 s did not allow new ssh or telnet sessions and displays the following message on the syslog server:

    PIX-4-315005% SSH session limit exceeded %. Connection request of #. #. #. # on the _interfacename_ interface

    I think I understand the basics of what is going on, but I am confused about how to get it for free, and why it has suddenly become a problem.

    Both times I went to a physical console (via the nice blue cable) session and used the ssh session disconnect # command. There are 5 numbered 0-4 connections.

    Both times that do not release the firewall to serve ssh again.

    Help! Anyone have any ideas?

    It is a known issue (CSCdy05681 and other I think), must be laid down in the code of 6.2 (2).

  • ASA 55xx Defintion "Max IPSec Sessions.

    Hello

    I was responsible for the modernization of our current remote site VPN Tunnel project.

    Rather than the collection of different configurations and protocols, I want to standardize it

    so that all every site has an IPSec Tunnel from Site to Site.

    I just need to clarify the definition of 'Site to site and remote access VPN maximum Sessions'

    to help me decide in which ASA 5500 model I need.

    (http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps6120/prod_models_comparison.html)

    We will need the connections for connections site to site 210,

    each location has a static WAN IP address and a subnet.

    So, I guess that the 5510, with its 250 ' maximum session limit "would be OK for our needs?

    However, will be the "Maximum virtual interfaces (VLANS)", which is only 50, limit me - makes a VPN site-to site class tunnel as a virtual interface?

    Or is there some other limiting factors that I need to consider?

    Thanks a lot for your time,.

    Chris Herridge

    Chris

    One site to the other tunnel do not catalogue as a virtual interface. So you shouldn't have a problem with this aspect.

    I suggest that you get (or upgrade to) the Security Plus license - which increases many things including the number of virtual interfaces.

    With 210 remote sites, I wonder what that the amount of traffic you are dealing with and if put through the 5510 could be a problem. If you look at the 5520, you get much more memory and a better/more battery power to provide more capacity.

  • limit of cpu resource manager problem

    Hello world

    I'm testing the resource limit of resource manager. in all the documents I read, after you create groups of consumers, if I gave a resource limit in terms of resources, it is said, this group of consumers won't be able to consume more cpu than that. for ex, 2 consumer group I have one of them gave 90% of cpu and the other (let's call it test_group) 5%, but when I connect with a user who is located in the test_group consumer group. After the execution of some sql/plsql, I noticed that it uses all the cpu.

    EDIT: to the fifth message there is all the code samples and the test results with screenshots.

    for ex in this page: http://pic.dhe.ibm.com/infocenter/mdm/v10r0m0/index.jsp?topic=%2Fcom.ibm.mdmhs.smpl.gd.doc%2Fr_oracle_db_resource_manager_working_example.html

    There is a code example that explain the plan. It is said REPORTING_GROUP is not being able to occupy more than 5% of CPU times in total. I used this code, but reporting_group always be able to consume all the cpu. I tested this code (also I have created a new group and the plan of Enterprise manager) on windows 7 64-bit, intel i7 cpu with 4 core and on the same machine, using the virtual machine oralinux. as database, Enterprise edition 11.2.0.1

    also resources plan is active and working, active session limit or cancel hen size for example, works when I tested it, but CPU limit is not. for testing I used the plsql code.

    create or replace function sf_test(p number) return number as
      x number;
    begin
      select 1 into x from sh.sales where prod_id = p and rownum = 1;
      return 1;
    exception
      when no_data_found then
        return 0;
    end;
    /

    declare
      x number;
    begin
      for i in 1..50 loop
        for i in 1..10000 loop
          x := sf_Test(i);
        end loop;
      end loop;
    end;

    I created four session of the Report1 user (in the link I mentioned before) and run this code plsql, at most 5% of cpu if they had but my CPU is overloaded almost every time.

    I missed something here or I got all wrong concept?

    PS: setting resource_limit is true and resouce_plan is the plan that I created. as I said before the plan is active and functional, I know, but may not limit the cpu. I would appreciate it if you help. Thank you very much.

    Looks like the resource manager behave correctly.

    If the session manager are not ask for 95 percent of the CPU resources, what remains will be the users of the report.  Oracle will not starve the UC report sessions if there are a bunch of CPU idle.

    If there are 8 Virtual cores and a bunch of single threaded sessions, you need at least 8 sessions before Manager the Manager could use 95% of the available CPU.  Most likely, you would need 9 or 10.

    If you have only a 6-wire Manager, these discussions could consume at least 6/8 = 75% of the available CPU but probably more than 67% (to pick a number that facilitates the calculation).  There is 33% of the CPU for the report.  There are 4 sessions of report in your screenshot with a little more than 2 cores available and each one seems to spend slightly more than 50% of their time on the CPU, which looks all right.
